Because its practically a water baloon... it has a thick layer on the outside and pretty much water on the inside. Thats why its crunchy.

Daura Rara I know they're uncooked but they're pickled. Pickled carrots and radish is common in Vietnamese foods. If you've ever had vietnamese Banh mì, you would know. She doesn't exactly specify whether it is or not, so I can't say it's 100%. But I'm pretty sure they're pickled because they are often paired with the sauce and other crunchy foods.

Jellyfish aren’t poisonous like pufferfish are,jellyfish are know for stinging but they are definitely safe to eat when dead and sterilized. A pufferfish is professionally cooked and can’t EVER be served unless a highly trained chef has prepared it,as for jellyfish it can be eaten raw.

Jellyfish in the south Asian country are pretty common in certian dishes , it has no particular taste to it but the texture is crunchy and soft at the same time is that makes sense . Usually it’s eaten with chili or lime and soy sauce depending on what region it’s prepared in , but for those from the western country visiting East Asian country should give it a try it’s really quite delicious .

Bertha Rodriguez the texture is a bit like chicken cartilage and it taste decent if you season it with some sauce.in Asia they sell this either in Chinese restaurant or sushi restaurant.
