I hope you make this a series or just make more book videos in general. Books + asmr just go so well together and the side to side whispering was sooo tingly!
Hi guys! The premise of this video was asking YOU guys what your favorite books were - so I took the top 5 most liked books, read them, and now I'll talk about them! 📚 I had a ton of fun with this and thank you to everyone who suggested their favorite book. Also, you can go to Audible.com/lavender or text 'lavender' to 500 500 to get your free 30 day trial!
33:39 The Giver is actually the first part of a four-part series by Lois Lowry. Highly recommend reading the other three books: Gathering Blue, The Messenger, Son
I ended up reading a bit about those books in the Wiki - the fact the characters appear in later books makes the abrupt ending make a little more sense! 😁
Just wanna say as somebody that doesn't get tingles I appreciate all your whispered videos, they are the best for sleep. It'd be awesome if you did a couple regular whispered book reads
I am an auditor in Malaysia , only sleep 4 hours per day recently due to closing but I always have a deep sleep after watching your ASMR video. Just want to say thank you for keep making these videos, there are essential.💛
I nearly leaped out of my bed from pure happiness when I saw you had uploaded this video!!! Your ASMR book videos are my absolute favorite!!! Your timing could not have been more spot on either, because I really need something positive tonight!!! THANK YOU!!! I can’t wait to watch this now 😁😁😁
I love this ! Imagine a video where your reading a book, tapping ,and theirs a crackle candle lit🤩🤩that would be unreallllll! Your videos are always so relaxing . I work night shifts and struggle falling asleep ,some nights I only get 3 hours sleep . Your videos always relax and reassure me that that’s okay. 💕
Oh my god, how did I miss this vid post about saying what our favourite book is, I love your book related videos, I would of loved to of had my say and see if it would of made your video about them :( Maybe you could make this a series ( couple of times a year ) Anyway I loved this video and the content you share overall but these book related ones top the list for me. Keep up the great content Sarah 😁🌹
Thank you! I’ll definitely be making a part two cause this was fun! Keep an eye out, maybe click the bell for channel notifications 😁💕 though I’m not sure if it notifies people for community posts haha
i’m so happy you mentioned the always sunny episode because that’s all i could think about when you were talking about flowers for algernon!! i’ve never read the book but i’m a huge sunny fan
Your "book club" videos are my favourite, always so excited to click when you post one Thank you for this great content and your enlightening opinions!
Oh my gosh I have been waiting for this video!! Love it! (And I still cannot recommend Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb enough! And all her subsequent books in that world. Top tier fantasy)
Yesss, I just read the liveship traders and loved it. Planning to hopefully re-read Assassin's Apprentice trilogy after 20 years (welp!) And continue on with Fitz and the Fool
I am SO excited for this!! I remember when you shared this idea and the poll, I thought oh my goodness, that is so much work for Sarah! An incredibly cool idea and a very generous way to connect with your community. I'm going to make a hot chocolate and cozy up with this one.🥰I loved The Giver when I was a kid, haven't read it as an adult, so I'm especially interested in your take on that one. Always love your book-related content! 💙
I don't know if any of your past videos you've mentioned about the book The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. so if you haven't read it yet I highly recommend it as it's one of my. top 10 I would say.
can't believe you recorded this video this early and still came with this makeup slay. im in love with the asmr aspect of your book reviews. thank you thank you!!!
I just found your account and I’m OBSESSED!! I would love to see a book tapping and sticky tapping video. You did it a little bit on this video and it was so tingly 🥺🤤🤤
I loooved this so much, its so rare to find ASMR that I really want to stay awake for because the content is so good but you definitely check that box 😍 my favourite book recently has been the midnight library by Matt Haig, it made me cry quite a lot and I read it so fast
Wow! What a great video. Those are all my favorite books also! It’s been a while since I read East of Eden, and I’ve only read 1 of the Kingsolver books, but I can’t tell you how much I loved this video. More, please! I’ve never had a talk with anyone who has such similar tastes in reading. Thank you so much. Best ASMR ever, imo!
I knew Flowers for Algernon was sad, because, you’re right, that’s what everyone says about it. But I had no idea is was sort of sci-fi because I never think of sci-fi as being so sad.
Just ordered Flowers for Algernon, havent read a book in years, but been wanting to, just havent found any books to read. Excited to start reading again.
what about a bookstore role play where someone is looking for a gift for someone and you can go through finding out what they might like, recommendations, etc. would make it easy to add in soft spoken/whispers, personal attention and book sound triggers?? 🥰
Please do this again. I suggest reading Normal People by Sally Rooney. It is a great romance book, I actually just finished it. Themes of miscommunication, class, and young love. It left me with a feeling of sadness after I read it because people can really change you for the better. (The show adaptation is really great btw...I suggest giving it a watch)
As a bookworm I love this video! I highly recommend reading the book Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys. If you like historical fiction or historical drama, this one is definitely for you!
I have a disability and to answer your question about the correct terminology to use for Charlie in flowers for algernon… most would just say disabled. Handicapped is an old term and some can even find it a bit offensive now. This was a great video! I love the book related ones.
I would love to see a book ASMR on your favorites in the YA genre. While I'm not in the targeted age range anymore, I still adore my old favorites in YA and think they can still bring joy to any age. :)
I’m back now that I have watched the video. Loved it by the way! Thank you so much for putting in all of the effort to make it! I somehow missed the poll where I could tell you what my favorite books are three months ago, so I’m going to go ahead and drop my five favorite books right here. 1. The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins 2. Jane Eyre by Charolette Bronte (sorry I don’t have the proper accent above the e in Bronte, I can’t find it in my phone keyboard) 3. Mansfield Park by Jane Austen 4. The Tennant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte (sorry again about not having the proper accent, I mean no disrespect to the Bronte family) 5. Frankenstein by Mary Shelly I rate all five of these books as being five out of five stars. I would love to hear if anyone else has also read these books, and if so how many stars you would give them.
Great video! I used to have perpetual cotton mouth but drinking cranberry juice mixed with ginger ale helps and chewing trident vibes gum ! The gum gets your saliva moving again
It's difficult for me to read Flowers for Algernon... it reminds me a lot of how much I struggled being autistic growing up. It hits way too close to home. Wonderful book though.
I love your book videos! 📖 😊 Sadly, I am one of these people who aren't fans of Pride and Prejudice. When you said you understood why some people find it boring, I felt relieved it's not only me 🤭 I find that I don't love many classic novels. However, one of my favourite books is Gone with the wind ❤
I'd love you to read the Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton. I cried when I finished it as I was so sad it was over, never had that with a book before! Beautiful writing style flitting between time periods.
If you like the idea of Death personified, with emotions and reactions and whatnot, read José Saramago's DEATH WITH INTERRUPTIONS. It's got a very unique style, and you have to stick with it, because the first half is a bit slow -- but once you get into the second half, Death is the best thing ever.
I mean, I’m ok with a video dedicated to talking about Pride & Prejudice movie/show 😂 I love that movie and I’m like you, that’s not my normal jam. But there is something about that one. I haven’t seen the BBC show though, I will have to look that up!
How did you get Audible to sponsor your video? I don’t know how all the sponsorship stuff works, but I’d love to get some of my videos sponsored one day if possible. This is super relaxing. I need to check out some of these books
You're reading book thief?? It's been a long time since I read it. There were some long parts but the book was still pretty good. It also was adapted into a movie, just don't remember when. That's so cool! Thanks for the upload! Stay safe!
I felt the same way about Wuthering Heights. I hated all the characters, but I LOVED the setting. I wish I could live there… but not with those people. Thank you for this video. It was fun, and interesting.
Loved the video! For the Flowers for Algernon book, the right terminology today is intellectual disability. Using person-first language you would say, "Charlie has an intellectual disability" instead of "Charlie is intellectually disabled". The disability does not define who the person is!! The more you know :) thanks for asking!! (This is coming from a future special education educator)
@@Coco-jg4xm good for you, but many do care, and using identity based language is thus better. Same as saying ‘they were enslaved’ rather than ‘they were a slave’.
