I'm more, yeah, I SHOULD be able to speak French, but I retained absolutely nothing from those seven years of French education, and we really only learn French because of Quebec anyway, and Quebec sucks and half of them want to leave and become their own country, but the referendum was too evenly split or something so they didn't, but anyway I ended up just really hating the language, and now I'm just a language nerd who's monolingual. So I understand like, five words at a time, and then the rest is just very pleasant noise. I just really can't stand tryna learn French grammar. The English language is stupid enough as it is. I'm just gonna... learn a Southeast Asian or Polynesian language... somehow.............. is Duolingo as good as everyone says?

To help you learn in return: The hair piece you did not know what it's called is most specifically called a "hair comb". However, this is an old term for it that not even all native English speakers know. (Older combs used to look like that, but modern combs look much different.) "Hair decoration" or "hair ornament" is more modern and also acceptable. And some people might also use the word "barette" as you do in French. Though typically "barette" in English is used for a very specific type of hair ornament with a metal clasp. English is hard to learn. You are doing a good job! You happened to find a word that is difficult for a lot of native English speakers too, and you figured out the most common substitute words on your own. So do not be embarrassed. You did well. Much better English than I can French for sure. Haha.

ASMR videos have really helped me ot, i used to have terrible sleeping problems and my meds didnt effect me as much, but when i started listening to it and putting it on when i would sleep who would knew i actually coud get good sleep, and my prescription got changed as well, but ASMR has helped me more than i would ever think it would : D - Rya
