Hey Catplant, have you played Octopath Traveller 2? It's a shame it didn't get any nomanition for best soundtrack of the year, I've seen many people talk about it and yeah the OST in that game is so good.

If Sony released this product as an actual console at a premium price, I'd be down. But all that streaming nonsense is not for me. I'll stick with the Steam Deck for now.
I liked it, it seems the most sensible device compared to the competition. Nice full hd screen, I don't notice freezing during games either. I'll buy it when it's available in my region, it'll probably will cost around 250 euro, but it's a good price. I will be able to play in the summer in the parks and the forest when I go out for a bike ride.

You're one of the few people I've seen with a portal who mentioned how the stream quality is affected by your distance to your router. I'm curious if you watch Digital Foundry?
I'd wait for the stand alone hand held tbh. Screen mirroring is iffy. And has input lag in a lot of cases. Just depends on what kind of games you play. Definitely don't recommend playing shooters on it. Stand alone hand helds don't have this issue because they aren't relying on the connection speed for the input.

Interesting seeing this hands on. It really seems Sony focused on a niche area for Handhelds and the small interoperability with regular consoles. They were wise not to try entering the very competitive regular handheld market cause I don’t think they would have done well against the Nintendo Switch, Steamdeck and it’s rivals. Time will tell if this concept goes anywhere, but it seems low risk cause it looks like just another console accessory.
