ASMR Rescuing Water-Damaged Newspapers (the basement flooded) • No Talking

What do you do a day after a basement flood? Among other things, you rescue water-damaged newspapers. At least that's what I did when a storm hit Flanders earlier this year. The newspapers were resting on the bottom shelf of a wooden rack. Dozens of them. Totally d-r-e-n-c-h-e-d.
First order of business: peeling all pages apart, then spreading them out, page by page, on the radiators all around the house. Every room smelt of wet paper and ink and basement. 🙂
It took a couple of days, but eventually all but 2 newspapers could be saved.
However, I still needed to reassemble all these newspapers and organize the loose pages into proper newspapers. And that's where this video comes in.
You'll see me sort and smooth down freshly dried newspaper pages. Bringing them back from death by drowning. If there's one good thing that came out of the January storm, it's the paper crinkles it ended up producing. A wealth of them! 🎶🎵
