Well, beans, now I have to write a Part 2, don't I? Not that I'm complaining that was BONKERS to listen to, and my heartfelt thanks to both AJ and Cardlin
The relationship between the healer and the king 🥰🤭 Not his love dying… man needs some therapy now Oh… 😨 don’t do it bro Bargains are bargains man- worth it!
Holy cow, that was an awesome way to start a new story! I have no clue why, but there is something I appreciate about playing characters in bittersweet situations like this (however, the story of Romeo and Juliet is a huge lexception). One thing that definitely kept me engaged was the pacing (both in the story beats and delivery). I liked that there was history established between the two lovers, and the king’s initial hesitance of expression, combined with the healer’s implied confidence, really added to the dynamic as well as the feeling of regret when things went south for the healer. Also, the hints at the nature of the relationship between the arranged royal couple added to the build-up of when the king attempted to make a very rash decision of his own. Another thing, as apathetic as the reaper is, I have a feeling I may end up appreciating his character all the more as the series continues. Anyway, you did a great job as always, AJ, Esme, and Cardlin! I’m so stoked for this series!
This is fantastic! APD APPROVED Fun fact: According to the Oxford English Dictionary, publicly is the most commonly misspelled word in the English language. Until we meet again
Too cruel to end it there. We need to help him quickly. All this pain because of an arranged political marriage. Can’t be easy seeing someone you love be married/ be married to a person who hates them and make their life miserable. The queen probably has their own “healer” they had to let go.
