No music, no talking, just making a Mario Mushroom rug from start to finish!
My first rug tufting video! This was shot in small segments over two days (hence the multiple outfit changes) but I learned a ton from this rug and Im really happy with how the end product turned out considering its my first. If anyone has any tips or feedback, please share!

I love this rug! I love watching u work also, ur husband is so lucky! Ur awesome, u can make cool ass rugs and u look terrific doing it and i kno he enjoys that so much because i used to b married and loved those interactions and thank u to him for not being a tool bag and letting u post ur work cuz im trying to learn how to do this and i would much rather learn from someone thats easy on the eyes than the swamp moose i wqs watching prior to finding u. Keep making good content u rock!

Hey Alejandro, I use something called a Artograph Easy Tracer, but a lot of people use a projector. I got mine at my local hobby store. I bought a 380 yard package of yarn, of each color and only used 1/4 of each one. Hope that helps! :)

Can i ask what type of glue you use for the back?

Hey Quinn, Right now I'm using Roberts 3000 glue, it stays really tacky for a long time unfortunately. My plan is to switch to Roberts 6700 because its indoor outdoor, my thought being it might be more durable and hopefully less tacky once dry. :)

Hey Quinn, I just wanted to update you, I found that if I set a heater pointing towards the glue during drying time it cured wayyyyy better. Just thought I'd share in case you run into tackiness issues when you go to glue your rugs 😊

Hey Kenan, Im not sure. I would think those coasters might be a bit stiffer in nature, where this glue I use allows the rug to be more bendy and flexible?

Get a better threading tool…Amazon has them for next to nothing. You’ll thank me later lol. And did you know you don’t have to spin/cone your yarn? If you pull the strand coming from INSIDE the hole at the top of the new yarn bundle it feeds through the gun the same as a cone

John, you are so right, the threading tool I have is like a deconstructed sewing threader and wire from a bread tie 🤣. I didn't know amazon had the long ones needed for this though! Thank you! Yeah I tend to spin so I don't have to buy two new yarn bundles, haha just trying to save a little money where I can! Thanks for watching and commenting!!
