Best time in primary school was a head lice out break. Our nit lady had long finger nails. She Was a smoker so she always had breath mints in that was way over powering and blind as a bat so took her 5/10 minutes to check your head. Absolute bliss.

We only did scalp checks in like the 4th year. We kept our clothes on. In grade 7 and 8 we did scoliosis checks and did remove our shirt very sketchy. Just two random adults in a room with a shirtless minor

@claudiakay5568 We did that also and I'll never forget. I had to take my shirt off in my classroom with my pe teacher and all the other girls in my class. Pe teacher was female but it was so bizarre. My kids doctors can check them for that not a teacher.

LIce check is for sure a marmite ASMR trigger. For those who hate it I totally understand - after all who wants to enjoy creepy critters on your scalp. However for those who love it (as in ME!) I totally get it. Someone giving you 100% attention whilst “playing” with your hair. Plus there’s the whole nostalgic angle - oh great video btw 👍🏻

Middle schools seem to be a lot larger, considering it’s multiple elementary schools combined to one. Like mine for example, had over 1,000 people. Can you imagine checking 1,000 scalps?? They usually just send us home for our parents to check. It’s a lot more efficient.
