I know this is pretty different from my usual content, but I wanted to try something new! I find art so relaxing and I hope some of you do too. Let me know what you think. As always, thank you for watching!
Back in 2008 I remember one day in class I was sitting next to a classmate of mine who loved to draw. She pulled out her drawing journal, turned to me and said “I’m gonna draw a portrait of you”. I was flattered and very curious to see how it was going to turn out but especially the drawing process as I have ZERO artistic talent; I cannot draw or paint to save my life! I watched her draw my portrait with a deep curiosity and I was so impressed. But the movements and sound of the pencil on the paper, I found that incredibly relaxing. I remember feeling a very tingly sensation start at the back of my head and travel all the way down my spine. I was about to fall asleep. I didn’t know what was happening, ASMR wasn’t a thing I had heard of back then. But now I know, that was the first and only time I ever experienced ASMR. I have been searching for that tingling sensation since but it has yet to happen again. At least I still experience the relaxation that ASMR offers though. I’m still searching for the tingles.
I loved watching an old friend i had draw and scribble on her books and paper and it always gave me tingles . I relaxed and loved just staring at her scribbling
Nice video. In my opinion I'm not the biggest fan of all the tapping and dawdling around with the book before drawing. However if that's what everyone likes then cool im still fine because I know how to skip forward. Great drawing keep it up.
That sound at 7:42 really startled me... With my headphones on it sounded like something fell in my office behind me.. I had to rewatch that section a couple times just to make sure I wasn't going crazy, because the illusion of it being directly behind my left shoulder was so intense.
I was gonna sleep bc the sounds are exquisite but bro.. ur art is so entrancing I had to watch until I saw the end product.. *It is well worth the sleeplessness!*
Little late reply but if you google handmade leather journal it comes up with many options. Some websites even sell them. Although they can get a bit pricey. Amazon seems to have them the cheapest, along with Etsy.
I find the pitch/frequency of that particular drawing instrument to be unpleasant for ASMR. I do love the sound of the hand rubbing against the paper and the pages flipping.

searched for this video because ever since elementary school I'd get soooooo relaxed when I saw someone draw and I never understood why...I realize now it was asmr and omg
please many more like these. it is weird i cannot draw things i imagine. i can draw when people draw in front of me and i try to draw the exact same. i love it. i love drawing with pencil (: thank you!
This comment marks my third attempt to watching this all the way through. Pretty sure the furthest I made it so far is like 5 minutes. Very relaxing. Subscribed!
The stated fact that gets me is when artist look like they are just throwing lines on the book but i can't get the knowledge that its a matter of pencil... still my friend does the same its just very confusing to me as i just began drawing anime. i still belive life-like art is easier than crappy manga
