@@SpasticSquirrel543 oh no. if it was purely for the hunt it would have been over this was 100% a siring. also now makes me wonder the universe did she just commit a major masquerade violation, is she now going to be hunted down for her crime?
Her completely unchanging expression when she said "The train? The train’s not coming." as if it was a completely casual thing to say was so utterly haunting and brilliant
I liked how she read that long spooky poem in its entirety and then just ended it. Didn’t say anything about it, didn’t ask us what we thought, just stops. That’s how you do creepy.
"Are you waiting for the train? ...good..." That first little line became so apparent after I finally watched all the way through the first time/read the comments.
"Are you waiting for the train? _good._ " - That alone freaked me out enough to make hair stand on my neck, trigger my red flags and fight or flight. - Incredible. She portrayed 100% danger so quickly and so well.
@@rainisreallyprettycool123it’s because the way she says it is eerily unnatural. Usually when someone is saying something like that you can guess it’s just small talk so it’s awkward (with that noticeable edge of relief of “Thank god I’m not alone.”) But she plays it with a dull sense of interest, more focused on the fact that our character is just waiting there than waiting for the train.
This is without a doubt the single best vampire-themed RP I've seen on youtube. Equal parts seductive, manipulative and unnerving - without ever being blatant. A genuine masterpiece.
We need more of this lady. I want to meet her at the bus stop, the book store, the coffee shop, the club; until she's no longer a stranger. Best ASMR video ever created.
The second she was getting in personal space and feeling comfortable enough to adjust a strangers hair, I was feeling the sensation that I didn't have the choice to leave anymore
This is unironically TERRIFYING. Knowing the intentions and seeing just how convincing yet eerie the act is, how masterfully it's acted out, just... This is a masterpiece. This is like 101 of how to lure a mf to their untimely doom. ITS ALSO REALLY FKN GOOD ASMR THE TINGLES GO CRAZY ON THIS ONE
Yeah. This video is crazy. From the jump you feel in D A N G E R , but there is something that makes you want to stay. The masterclass of catching flies with honey… but she couldn’t help spiking it with a little venom. You can tell this being wants to give them a chance. It’s like she is daring you to leave. She knows you don’t want to. Amazing ASMR. Amazing performance. But here I really hope people recognize the writing. This is really just an incredible piece. Like this could easily be transformed into an incredible short play that I would pay to watch
@@thespazmuFFin this could be a short play, really is IS a short play, but it wouldn’t work from a stage. It’d have to be immersive theatre, like Sleep No More. An audience of one at a time. The genius of film/video, but ESPECIALLY of platforms like RU-vid (which is inherently intimate, because it can be watched/heard very up close, carried in your pocket, watched alone or in intimate personal spaces like your own bed), is that we all get to actually be under the umbrella, with an enigmatic stranger standing too close.
My alarm bells went off as soon as she talked about "enticing smells". I didn't listen up until that point. After it I sensed ever-growing dread. Do I want to sense tingles or close the horror film? I scream, for I don't know 😂😱
@@twobluestripes I think I agree with you. It could be adapted in an interesting way I think for stage, but 100% in its current form it is suited so well for the RU-vid medium that it would be better as a sleep no more type experience. I think the thing I like about it for the stage is just that it really seems like Erin has a really good handle on writing dialogue
This is such an unnerving character, but in really clever ways. The way her eyes sometimes catch and hold hungrily below the camera’s eyeline like she’s fixated on the pulse at our throat, the high shine of her dark red lips glinting so wetly even from the shadows, the way her expressions (and especially her smiles) never reach her eyes. There’s something off about the way she talks and her facial expressions, but nothing that provokes us to flee. The way she slowly sways closer and closer until she’s inhaling those huge breaths of scent right at our throat and whispering to us because she’s right in our face. She probes into who will notice we’re missing, and then later exploits the insecurity and loneliness revealed when we say we aren’t meeting up with anyone. I think one of the creepiest aspects of her is how she pretends to back off at the start after rearranging our hair, or offers to leave at the end. She acknowledges she’s being creepy with such cold amusement. It feels like she’s laughing at us, knowing full well we’re too trapped to escape even if she shows us the door. Super well done and very relaxing despite how insidious she is!
This character is amazing, at the same time she drops so many red flags that set off every alarm in my head and literally behaves so seductively and caring that i feel like i could actually fall for it
I also feel like the uncanny feeling connected with her movement and expression stems from her doing too much - like she isnt used to this behaviour, but really tries to pass as a human and only slightly too fast, erratic movement or the opposite - the lack of it at all from time to time makes it more clear
If I was in the same position as the character in the video I would have absolutely fell for the manipulation, because it is what I seem to be weak to as it has happened many times in the past, haha thankfully there were no vampires to take advantage of me.
Also, the poem she reads (Baudelaire's Dance of Death/Danse Macabre) ends by saying that Death "oft perfumes herself with myrrh" right before she puts perfume on for the first time
i love the way the story escalates, how she tries to build your trust little by little so it's not until the middle of it when you realize her stranger behavior may be more alarming than it first seemed to be!
@@CrazyIrishmen7 unfortunately the video did actually have 'vampire' in the title originally :') op probably posted this comment before it would have been a spoiler (or rather, it wasnt more of a spoiler than the original title)
coming back to this video after watching the sequel puts it in a much creepier light. her whole “do you usually like to take the train about now?” / “i’m surprised i haven’t seen you before” act is so much more unsettling knowing the truth that she had been watching us for weeks / months beforehand, waiting for the right moment to strike. that being said, i still love her very much, she can manipulate me any day ❤
the “i don’t mind… do you?” with the unbroken eye contact when she pulls out her umbrella.. it’s so chilling to me. she’s so intense about it, and maybe it’s a vampire thing, you know, asking for permission and stuff, but it’s so good
it would be so easy for this to come off as seductive, but somehow it always does feel more terrifying, like a predator stalking her prey. In my imagination, she has some magic vampiric power that keeps us from being able to move or step away, like how deer freeze in the headlights of a car. This is truly an amazing video!
It’s a classic vampire-lore ability called “glamour”. It’s like a hypnosis, a mind control, or a magical ability to influence or enthrall you. I find it pretty remarkable that Erin was able to give so many of us viewers this feeling through her writing and acting; even viewers who weren’t aware (or maybe forgot) about what vampire glamour is are describing having the feeling of being glamoured by this character while watching the video!
Personally, I thought it was the fragrance she was spraying! The first time she sprayed it I didn't think much of it, but then she refreshed it and asked if we like it... I had to imagine it had some sort of paralytic or hypnotic effect and that was why she could be more openly creepy (for the lack of a better word) without us running away
@@randomaznninja this was exactly what I thought she must be doing when I first watched it! Like, it must be something to dull our senses or inhibit that fight or flight response. Masterful, plain and simple. ❤
the fact that she keeps re-applying her make-up, probably because of her undead complexion fascinates me. Also the idea that someone warns you for creepy strangers that turns out to be one themselves is creepy as heck. Lovely video!

I want to congratulate you on the train horn SFX. I live in a “train town” and legitimately could not tell if the horn was coming from the video or the actual trains. Great job.
this needs a part 2 where you awaken, freshly turned vampire, at the vampire lady’s house as she comforts you Edit: thank you for all you replies, but I am indeed aware that she made that second video (and am still thrilled about it)
I like to think that the reason we didn't run away from her at the first sign of danger is that she has some sort of hypnotic powers. Maybe something in her perfume or the way she tells us "you want me to stay, you want me to look at you, to speak to you" etc as if she is *telling* us how to feel, like if her words are hypnotic.
I like how sometimes when she asks a question her voice doesn’t raise in pitch like in 3:54, it kinda shows she’s quite solitary and maybe doesn’t know about/ understand normal human speech patterns
Edward Cullen's "vampire" charm is like a pet rock compared to this. Pretty sure Erin's vampire is not in love with me, and has legit straight up killed me & I'm not even mad.
@Deadmangafan That was exactly what I thought as soon as she started reading the poem. Now I’m inclined to find Vamp ASMR videos that suit each of the clans.
I was thinking a lot about why this is my favorite vampire roleplay. I think it's because it feels not like a normal day (or night) in a fantasy world but like a very strange one in reality. You have made the most believable vampire
watched this yesterday when it was still titled 'covetous vampire stalks you in the night' or sth, and damn if it isnt 100% creepier to think of the story now as just a 'stranger at the station', almost right up until she bites you... this video is so well acted and the sound production makes it feel so intimate and terrifying despite the context of us being outside, ostensibly in a public place. A++ halloween content!!
It may have been a play for Halloween clicks (not a bad thing!) and then now it’s more open needed and SO much more creepy. I love this second title. This is so good.
i still come back to this not even to sleep just to watch because it's so perfectly executed and every time i notice something i haven't before. like the gradually darkened gaze after she sweeps our hair back and gets a better view of our neck. the overly controlled head movements like she's mimicking. the beautiful rich makeup that still doesn't conceal the pale skin. i love this i hope it wins awards if there are any
I’ve always thought it ridiculous that folks would just let a vampire bite them, but Erin, you were so mesmerizing! Thank you for such a unique take on the horrors of waiting for a train! ☠️🎃
I think the original idea is that a vampire had a supernatural appeal to them. While being super strong and capable of forcing themselves on someone, they preferred to use their immense charm and wit to add to their coven.
i love how the character asks so many personal questions about the listener, she definitely gets to know every single aspect of her prey. im not sure if she's going to actually prey upon the listener, or going to make the listener a vampire.
I think one of the reasons why we wouldn’t run away is because she actively acknowledges and points out the red flags. She apologizes when she makes us uncomfortable and even says that there are strange and dangerous people out that late. If she didn’t it would set off more alarms than her saying what we should perceive her as which is likely to make someone believe that’s not what she really is.
I think there’s also the fact that our character is most likely female. She asks to wait with her and does things like pulling out an umbrella, asking if she likes walking alone at night, expressing concern for other people (men) and these are all things that paint her as chivalrous and lowers our guard. Our character didn’t think anything of allowing her to wait with her or standing under the umbrella with her because she was a fellow woman and girls need to stick together. She approaches from the side instead of directly blocking the way men do and consequently it allows her to get much closer (literally as well as figuratively). I can almost read the exact point this changes later. It becomes clearer that the character is consenting to things through fear of angering her, the same way she likely would if it was a guy who’d approached her. And at this point, she is directly in front of the character instead of at the side.
@@kiera6326That makes a lot of sense. I know that I (and most other women) would trust a woman stranger more than a man simply because of society and media. We’re taught to be careful around strange men but rarely told that strange women can be just as dangerous. If this was a man the video would be over in like 2 minutes but because it’s a woman we’re much more open and let the interaction go on for as long as it takes for the train to (almost) get there. This is one of the reasons I love Erin’s storylines so much. No matter what the character is there’s small details that add to them
@Greektragedy-sj6wl what are you talking about? The story would be the same if the person is a man. I have literally had women approached me and asked to wait with me before. Making this a gender thing is so weird and goofy.
@@vibez2806 no it’s not, it’s rooted in sociological and psychological basis. We perceive people differently based on gender. We have different experiences based on gender. The POV character, if female, would likely be far more distrusting if a man approached her because there would be a more obvious implied sexual or violent intent. The point is that she has her guard down around another woman who is preying on her in a similar yet obviously different way, and the vampire absolutely knows and exploits that sentiment
One of the most illuminating things about videos like this and why they are so popular is that there are a lot of lonely people out there who would honestly be flattered at the idea of someone being interested enough in them to track their movements this precisely… even if it was just to eat them.
This is the first vampire roleplay that has genuinely chilled me. The level of creepiness and closeness.. this isn't some dark romance with a hot villain, this is genuinely terrifying. Now i need to watch another of your videos after this so i can relax! ;)
Well, I’ve learned two things today: One: Moon is a great actress and I’d love to a sequel to this story, showing what happens after this. Two: I would have fallen for this, hook line and sinker. Anyone paying this much attention and touching, eye contact, is going to melt me lol.
There's a train station near the Belgian border en route to my sister's place which has become infamous among family & friends. It's lodged seemingly in the middle of nowhere, with not much more accompanying the platform than a spot to park your bike. There are no buildings visible anywhere near. And at night, the station isn't even lit. I can't help but imagine this is that station.
especially about the trains "running on time...." i know that was 1000% unintentional, but its important to know its a nazi dog whistle to say you want the trains to run on time, especially when asked about a political alignment. again, i know it was entirely unintentional. but its just funny you bring up red flags when one of those first lines immediately stuck out to me lmfao
The setting really makes the video. I just picture a desolate and dimly-lit street at a forgotten train station. She shows up out of the shadows seemingly harmless but unsettling at the same time. The sound of the distant train immediately after the fatal bite is extremely well edited.
this is my first psychological-eerie type of asmr that could make me stay focus on everything that's happening. the attention to details is such a chef's kiss. and the fact that we know she's an absolute red flag but we stayed? too real. absolutely amazing work, thank you
There were a couple moments when Her behavior went from enchanting to a little too direct, but then it snaps back to being enchanting long enough for me to be too charmed to notice the points when it’s actually very creepy. This was possibly your best work, Erin, and you’ve got so many good videos.
Love that she outright tells you you are in danger there alone with her, and yet tells you she'll keep you safe....somewhere else....where you won't be found. It's got all the titillating creepiness of a Nick Cave song and a Poe story.
I keep coming back to this video - it's so well done! The vampire drops so many hints - she knows before we say anything that there's no one waiting for us, hints that she has been tracking us to show up at this station, describes what might have happened to the train in such a way that she might have caused it! It must have been so much fun to film this!
This was superb, utterly sublime. I didn't want it to end. The character was caring and not too pushy, and alluring and knew how to be flattering. Clearly used to getting what she wanted but making it seem like it was the other person's idea. More like this please :)
I'd like to pretend that in the ending we pass out from blood loss, and then awake in a very comfortable bed within a manor to the sight of a Ghost on her way to a party...
The allure of being seen, even if suspect, has become so rare that even receiving it from strangers is a guilty pleasure. I'd retreat into that fantasy and stay there, damned if I'm bled dry.
Honestly, every character that Erin plays makes me think it's a different person-like, I know that's supposed to be the point of roleplays but with her, I really do feel like every new person she plays as is another existence entirely...and also the tingles are so effortlessly mixed in the video!! perfection
If this video has taught me anything, it’s that we all have a desire to be taken by dark forces. A beautifully done ASMR. Maybe my favorite of all time.
Okay this is maybe the most perfect ASMR experience. The psychological element, the persuasion, the low low light, glinting eye makeup and lipstick. Your slow, deliberate, complete sentences. I could listen to this for hours.
Very sad to hear (from the sponsored bit) that she's had to deal with stalkers finding out her personal info... hopefully that's in the past and won't be a bother again, that's gotta be hella frightening. Hope she's doing alright Ok now onto the video~
“Is anyone expecting you tonight?” Chills went down my spine! Also, the train sound was amazingly realistic, even though I KNEW the video takes place at the tracks I still paused the video to see if the train was coming through my town
When I first started after this I thought that she was just a mysterious stranger, but something was a little off. I never even realized this was a vampire role play until the end. Probably one of my favourite videos ever!
Brilliant roleplay, Erin! I once encountered an old lady at the train station like that. It was a pitch black night and I wanted to go home asap. She was oddly familiar with me and did the term "eerie" a lot of justice. She even recited a poem she wrote a long time ago and started to talk about her cheating husband and ungrateful kids. Then she mentioned how I was probably heading to my "cozy home" with my "loving parents". She also sensed how much she freaked me out and told me that she immediately felt how empathetic and sensitive I was. Overall, I think she was just lonely and needed a bit of company and I tried to be as empathetic as possible in that kind of situation but the whole thing also scared me in the first couple of minutes because I am generally tipsy around strangers at night.
Loneliness is a strange thing. We're really drawn to it in fiction, but in real life, being confronted with another person's deep loneliness is slightly terrifying. I think vampire horror definitely plays on that.
I like the way that she uses the common traits of a vampire in little snippets to not set off alarm bells but make you suspicious and a bit unnerved but also comfy at the same time
@@AngeltashaUK nightshade isn't scary. She's powerful and intimidating, yes, but it never feels like you're at risk of being harmed by her. You're her friend. The worst she'll give you is a sardonic and slightly cruel quip. She's also quite open about the fact that she's dangerous and powerful, as opposed to this character, who is polite, friendly, gentle, and positively unnerving. Especially after reading the title. You, the viewer, know that she's dangerous. But you, the character? Absolutely helpless prey.
oh god i think i'm in love with this woman btw erin should definitely do asmr videos where she just reads some poetry or idk smth from old English literature, I can't stop replaying the part where she recites the dance of death
Wow, I feel like I didn't just watch an ASMR. I instead watched a haunting, atmospheric short film with excellent acting. One of your best in my opinion.
This is probably still my favorite ASMR video I've ever seen because of how well made it is. The sound, the story, the subtlety of the twist. *chef's kiss*
A very different character from what we normally see here. She gives me the "I need to get away from here" feeling from the moment she starts talking and it does not let up
I was actually entranced, enchanted and hypnotized from start to finish. By the time the video ended I had forgotten everything that happened. 10/10 would risk it all for a (undead)life reborn
@@fordz3781 Something like 'covetous vampire stalks you in the night' (...said an earlier commenter, but "vampire" was definitely in the title, so I'm taking their word for it.)
i was kind of lulled into a trance until she asked if anyone was waiting for me at 18:45 and i was like oh god- my cat! but i loved the idea that i still said no. i get the feeling thats all we could have said even if we wanted to say something different- by then we’re totally under her spell. but the panic rising in me afterward, thinking ‘no NO i have my cat!!! he’s waiting’ was exhilarating. love how much thought was put into this
absolutely love how erin made that umbrella add so much more to the eeriness by using it to adjust the shadows on her face! love that there were moments where her eyes are obscured with shadow that its hard to read her intentions and moments of where her face just suddenly becomes fully lit especially when she just comes near you. its incredible and worked so well with the horror 🥰
Oh man, even if you hadn’t read the title and knew what the scenario was, the acting here is superb Erin! That perfect balance of making you feel immediately ill at ease, while on the surface appearing to be perfectly polite and friendly to any onlookers
The dialogue by itself starts out somewhat normal and slowly spirals into something much more terrifying. It's a slow descent starting with feeling unsettled and then into dread... the facial expressions and the movements stay the same level of unsettling the whole time. Very well acted.
This video is insanely good. I watched it like a week ago and I keep coming back to it because it’s just so captivating. I’ve been a big fan of your videos for years now and I love how you become all of your different characters so seamlessly - unreal!🥰
this is one of my favorite ASMR videos which is fun because it's also one of the most genuinely unsettling things I've ever watched. the little microexpressions - augh they're so good. i'm so unsettled. it makes me want to crawl out of my skin. incredible work 100/10
