Why are you whispering at me?!
#ASMR is an acronym commonly used to describe the tingly/buzzing/static sensation associated with certain audio/visual stimulae - often whispering/soft-spoken voice, and other quiet triggers. It's a similar feeling to 'frisson' - the shivers that run up your spine when watching an incredible scene in a film, or really /feeling/ amazing music. It's the best.

fir those of you who aren't familiar with the game... it's basically about being able to control time in space...to be able to slow down time or to go back in time for a specific thing...to grow the tree in two seconds or make it regress to a seed to see the building being constructed in a second to shoot and slow the bullets watch some gameplay u will get the idea

Perhaps I’m looking too hard into it, but I feel as though there is some sort of metaphor going on here. My first thought was that it had something to do with addiction. At first whatever you’re addicted to feels like a carnival and it’s new and happy and you’re loving it. It’s fun. But then as you progress through the game, the laughter stops, the room gets darker and colder, your friend leaves you, and you’re alone in darkness. Perhaps the game itself is someone trying to quit an addiction. Every time a new light presents itself it’s them trying to stop. And every time, there’s some new method that doesn’t quite seem to work, until it does! Only to be presented with the the relapse - or another lightbulb… each time you try to turn it off, the old methods don’t work, and that voice in your head keeps telling you to play the game until finally, it’s over I suppose… Then I also thought maybe it’s a metaphor for life itself… slowly inching your way, towards darkness. The fun comes and goes, the snow and the wind… and then nothing… I don’t know. This is probably one of the best videos you’ve made though, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.

How about just winding down for the day to sleep. Leaving the distractions and addictions (phone etc.) behind and turning off your lights. Some people wind down easily, just flick the switches, others take some time. Ultimately the last switch is closing your eyes. Also plays in how it used to be played more, but now new distractions showed up, life got faster.

Some of the symbolism and effects went completely unnoticed or over my head on the first watch through, but after the second I started catching little details like the snowflakes, and how you reflected the game being easy for some people, and hard for others (in other words some people fall asleep faster than others), but overall I still loved this video! Your asmr is one of the few that acctualy puts me to sleep, so thank you for the incredible video, and here's to many more!

The game no one wants to play anymore, for me this is a metaphor for reality. He mentions all the other, "games," as they are much more loud, bright, and supposedly fun. However, he goes on to say that they aren't fun, just addicting. Just like the false realities we grow to believe about ourselves, about others, about the very fabric of our natural states as human beings. We trade what we really are in for something much more appealing, something...flashy, loud. But the reality is, we'll always lose and we'll learn to regret, to aggrieve what we got ourselves into. Turn off the light bulbs, all the harmful and useless noises in our life. Shut it all off, learn to be you, be confident in yourself. Stop trying to be loud, stop thinking so much. The game may seem boring at first, but you'll learn to enjoy the simplicity.

The amount of meaning you can derive from this video is insane. with the background fading away it could be seen as you being sent into a new world or as the vendor suggests, just zeroing in. him saying "did you do that?" could also be interpreted as a joke or as him actually thinking you're behind it. I interpret it as death playing a final game with the vendor before he dies, the darkness beginning to zero in on him, and because of the quality of the writing and atmosphere that could be true! such an awesome video Atlas, keep it up.

DUDE this is unreal... started watching because I've casually seen a couple of your vids before, but stayed for the entire thing because it was so damn interesting. Edit: I continue to come back to this video every couple months. It’s so cold, yet so warm. So relaxing, yet so intriguing every time I watch it. Definitely an asmr/storytelling staple.

This is a kinda creepy ominous video but still very beautifully made. Because at one point the crowd noises all cease, the control panel looks aged on the last light. The last light is flickering, and you just dissappear. A beautifully made video for sure.

I think it’s the distant screams and cheers, the thought of everyone being out having fun but still getting to have this little quiet place. Gives me the same weirdly comforting feeling of going on a late night walk in the snow 😂

I know I’m incredibly late to this, but is this video an analogy for ADHD? The fact that he says that the game is easier to play for some compared to others, and that it can take hours to finish than some gave me the idea. It also explains how the deeper into the task you go, the more the outside world seems to disappear, as you begin to hyper focus onto a task with ADHD. Which means that the ending of the video could be an analogy for procrastination, since we never get to finish flipping off the switch, opting to instead close our eyes and avoid it altogether. I could be completely off here, but that’s the vibe I got from watching this on repeat!

This is probably by far my favorite ASMR video ever. And I don't always get tingles from it either. But the way this video is presented makes me feel calm. Safe even. Calm wind sounds through old creaking buildings are very underrated when it comes to atmosphere. And despite the dark look of this place it feels strangely nostalgic to me. Which is why I feel so comforted I guess? Regardless I love this video. And the set up. And just everything about it.

This was an absolutely amazing video... But I got one question... Of course answer if you'd like, but... I feel like this was inspired a bit by the Character from Wolverine Origins that can control the electric currents and such, just wonder if that's the case... Anyway tho... wow.... I wrote a dumb joke comment complaining about a loud commercial but I had to come back and delete it when I was done. I know we call ASMRtist that because it's a fun name but I honestly think this might qualify as genuine art. I am shocked and also so thankful you collabed with Cap Bailey. I hadn't heard of you till then but this was moving. I was smiling by the end when I figured out what you wanted me to do. Not enough of these are interactive. You had an incredible atmosphere, acting, editing, sound design, the concept is so cute, fun, and nostalgic AND you actually made me think a little. Jeez. I've seen movies that have moved me less. Please, keep striving to make excellent content. I can't wait to see what it is that you can do.
