Heavily used in signal processing math, esp analog circuits (digital uses the related z-transform). Most of the time you don’t even bother working in the time domain at all

Yeah same. I feel like I've forgotten everything. The last time I used upper level math was when I was trying to solve a problem then realized I could just rewrite it as a discrete convolution but I haven't used Laplace much since I left school years ago

I did a major in International Business, but at the work environment I noticed the problem are not maths by themselvse, but the way they are teached. There are few teachers who know how to do it right. Once done right, it is a marvelous feeling to be teached on what seemed too complex.

All I remember about the Laplace transformation is that with this transformation, you can go from the time phase to the frequency phase! and something like this is also for Fourier transformation.

As a tech geek, I wish all these things were available back when I was in college during the mid-late 00s. My handwriting is horrible so my handwritten notes always looked like hell, I attempted to switch to bringing a laptop to class but that only worked in classes were all you did was write outline style notes, also going back and fixing something took more time than one would think, forget trying to do anything other than type text on it, chemistry and math were out of the question. They had only just started to come out with "smart paper" that you could write on and it would digitize your notes and you could upload it to your PC, but the starter kit was $250 and I made about $200 every two weeks at my job. Also you needed to buy special paper for it to work, which made all my other normal (expensive) notebooks useless.
