Have you ever noticed getting more tingles when you hear a trigger in a specific ear? Let’s test this. I‘m making sounds in your right and left ear, and you tell me which ear is tinglier. 😲😴

@xamber7879 It’s possible. I’m right handed but my left is far more sensitive to ASMR. But I’ve also seen a lot of people in these comments where their sensitive side matches their dominant hand side. It probably has something to do with how each individual’s brain is wired across different regions and how certain stimuli travel around the brain. Would be cool to have some medical studies done on ASMR to figure out how and why it works.

Personally what helps me even more is not actually seeing the microphone. It’s odd but it does actually lead to more tingles for me. So this video nailed it for me. I really enjoyed this video, I’d love to see more in the future! It was so unique

It's not odd at all. If you are unprepared for a sound VERY close to your ear, you are more alert and tingles are part of your "alertness". For that reason sounds are more intense if you don't "see them coming". What I found interesting is that the tingles on my right ear were more tingly and I am left-handed. I assume that I am more alert to these because I'm less likely to successfully defend myself in a case of sudden threats to my right and for that get more tingles.

I get tingles are both sides and my whole head tingles, but I feel like each side is more susceptible to different sounds. Like the blister pack gave me more tingles on my right side, and my left side gave me more tingles with nail polish bottles. I don’t always get tingles (my brain has specific tastes), but these sounds were on point.

funny enough my right ear is the only one that tingles, but i also only get tingles on the right side of my body! they stop at my spine and never go to the left side. i’ve never had another person relate to this!

I have the same thing and always wondered about a scientific explanation! Very very rarely I do get tingles from triggers in the left ear, but even then I feel the tingles only on the right side of my body

I feel like it's slightly stronger on the right side for me. I've noticed the same thing with music as well. The left is still decent, just not quite as strong, and in the middle is just very nice all around. Thank you very much for this video

@@mara7805 I think it is due to hearing problems or listening to very loud music, but I don't believe in that possibility because we wouldn't hear well in both ears.

My right ear is definitely more sensitive than my left, but surprisingly I feel I actually felt the most relaxed and tingles when you made the sounds in the middle.

Definitely my left is more tingly (and yes, I’m left handed lol) but I like when videos are even or symmetrical and make the same sounds on both sides because I can get just as relaxed and soothed by sounds on the right. Not seeing the mic helps and on ear cleaning videos seeing the model ear takes me completely out, making it a POV type video is the tingliest 😊 Thanks for all your hard work!!!

My right ear works best for tingles. When I do get tingles from my left ear, it tingles the right side of my back, but never any on the left side. The closer it is to the microphone, the more tingles.

I don't normally feel tingles often, but I do notice that it tends to be my right side that get tingles the most. Sometimes I even think I hear better in my right? The sounds feel more intense on that side. I am also right handed lol so if that counts for anything

Most tingles left ear, medium tingles in the center and then least tingles on the right. But I think the anticipation of the center is also tingly as you could move left or right from there

Its so rare that I get tingles on my left ear but it used to be, by far, my most sensitive sign 10 years ago. My right is still super tingly. Maybe my left ear is just secretly plugged or something? I miss getting them all around

My left ear canal is actually crooked so I don’t hear as well as my right ear. It’s barely noticeable but sometimes when I’m listening to music I notice that it’s not as loud in my left ear. Idk if that matters in ASMR though, still not too sure

Great video I would love a ‘tease and deny ASMR’ which would be like the opposite of anticipatory tingles. something like, you are telling us you are going to do tapping and then you prepare the trigger or object and then you say just kidding and do a different trigger, or don’t satisfy are tingles by doing it low effort on purpose. Or maybe you start off slow for a trigger, and then it switched before it gets to the best part. Keep us hanging and it I think psychologically it would make the triggers that you do give us more powerful. Then maybe at the end it nice thoughtful triggers, but during the video you keep denying us tingles keeping us waiting and expecting. I hope you understand. I think it would be unique, and it heighten the tingles when we do get them.
