Tonight’s video is something I came up with a little while back, and even tried it in a video, but called it something else. But this one is exactly how I want it, and hope you enjoy it too. I call this the “fake out effect”, and I’m going to be “almost” using different asmr triggers on you. You’ll have to watch to get the full effect, so make sure your auto play is turned off, you’ve used the restroom, and you’re ready to relax and/or sleep! If nobody has told you that they loved you today.. know that I love you, with all of my person. I’ll see you tomorrow family!!

So I was listening to this video in the background of studying. I didn’t really listen to the concept at first, just clicked on a video to have playing in the background (and I love your content so I always go to you first). I finished studying and was watching the video and I thought you were having tech issues, forgetting to edit stuff out. I was so confused. But I was tingling sooo much. Combine fakeout and fishbowl effect. Put the fishbowl on our heads and keep talking audibly. Of course you'd say stuff you'd normally not say. "So now you think you cannot hear me" Yes it negates the fishbowl effect, but that'd be a fakeout. Then you take it off and we cannot hear you.

I was thinking of how to fake it. I'm not so sure reversing it would quite be a fake out, but just a reverse which has been done before. Faking it would be inaudible tapping maybe? Never fully placing or removing? I'll have to think about it more to really flesh out the concept of FOFB.

I like the "do I have consent to..." trigger because it's unique to your channel and it makes me feel like I have an agency I don't really have, but I've always found it redundant and to a degree nonsensical. Watching videos are a tacit consent sort of situation; when you search up 'ASMR' on RU-vid and specify a trigger/asmrtist, you generally know what you're in for. Consent is implied when you choose to click on the video and stay for any duration of time. You can withdraw consent, obviously-you can exit the tab/video-but there's this clear tacit level of consent that is applied when you start it up, even if you don't grasp the specifics what you're agreeing to (e.g. I know I agree to watch an ASMR video and be in an ASMR context but I don't necessarily know which triggers will be used, what they will sound or look like, for how long they will last, etc.). Notwithstanding my clear confusion I enjoy the trigger

oooo, this was really really nice! reminds me of like anticipatory triggers, but inverted? I find it really tingly when expectations are played with. like setting breaking the pattern, anticipatory, whatever its called when sounds are swapped. and this totally falls under that same umbrella for me. its almost like it draws aspects of all of them, plus a little something new, and I am **loving it**

I had this for just the audio while playing scrabble on my phone. Never paid full attention to the visual portion of the video or the concept (sorry, I usually DO, and then I fall asleep halfway into it!) but when Karuna started whispering "brush" and then later, "apply" I got massive scalp tingles. I've been really stressed as I just moved cross-country and am sleeping on a pallet on my daughter's living room floor until we rent a house; also having to find a job ASAP and all my stuff is in storage 2000 miles away. So grateful for the relaxation and pleasure to distract me for awhile.
