A man called Ove is one of my forever favorite books! If you liked it, I would definitely recommend Fredrik Backmans other books! I cry every single time I read them 😅
Omg I’m so glad you enjoyed A Man Called Ove!! Fredrik Backman is my fave author of all time. Beartown is my fave book so I def recommend that!!! (Check trigger warnings though) ❤️❤️❤️
I don't know why I keep reading Hoover books. They make me angry every time. This was the least problematic one I've read from her, but the bar is set in hell. I was so annoyed with Tate for agreeing to casual sex and then immediately not being able to handle it - but continuing anyway. And I was seriously confused about why she was even a main character in a book about the romance between Miles and another woman. Tate is the third wheel in her own book! I recently saw an interview with Colleen where she mentioned that, though she writes emotional books, she never gets emotional over them. And that she wrote It Ends With Us as a young adult because that is what was popular at the time, and she was contracted to write a book for the genre. And I realize I'm not being fair to be turned off by how business like she is and how her books are just products to her. But I'd like to keep this romanticized notion that authors are putting their heart and soul into their work.
Yesssssss a million trillion % YES!!!! Tate gave me the major ickkkk. Like girly all of this could’ve been avoided if you just had kept your mouth shut 🤐. I totally get authors getting paid and respect it 1000% but I just wish CH put more heart into her work
