Tonight we'll be playing an ASMR maths puzzle game in which we have to work on a calculator... but not everything is as it seems. Using logic and math we must try to beat the devil in this mischievous game!

My name is Duncan and I am a Maths Graduate in Scotland with a passion for maths and relaxation! I am an ASMR RU-vidr and plan to go on to teach maths at high school level in the coming years. I am very enthusiastic about teaching and to help me improve and get practice before entering the world of work I have created this channel to help people learn about mathematics at all levels all whilst having a good night's sleep.

Level 8 subtracts each digit by 3. For digits less than 3 it goes to negatives

@@willbusters3697⁠i believe based on one point in this video that if the negative is AFTER the first digit, it doesn’t make the whole number negative. He does 51, which ends up as 22, because 5-3= 2, and 1-3 = -2. If it were 11 or 15 it would have been -22. 23:57

the 1.8ºF to 1ºC wasn't a conversion of those specific temperatures, it's a comparison of the scales. so an increase in temperature of 1ºC equals an increase in temperature of 1.8ºF.

On level 7 you had the right idea the first time with 2(2x+6)+6=666 but you just simplified it wrong into 4x+12. It should’ve been 4x+18=666 which would’ve let you put ♦️♦️162

Level 8 was not too difficult. 1 to 9 was x-3, 10 to 99 was x-33 , 100 to 999 was x-333 (therefore 999-333 is 666) and 1000 to 9999 would have been x-3333

stuupy is right cause 100 - 333 does not = -233. each digit minus 3 does. 1-3 = -2, 0-3= -3.

You did the wrong approach here, the calculator legit said dont think algebraically, you had to realise every digit in a number gets subtracted by 3 😂

@texanfrog1750 100 - 333 does equal -233 tho. Subtracting by 333 is the same as subtracting 3 from each digit…

You should try and do "Georh Mohr" assignments. It's a danish math competition which most danish high schoolers take, and these are how the people who go on to the international competitions are picked. There's a lot of interesting and fun questions, and they're also all in english

0° Celsius = 32° Fahrenheit When 1.8 Fahrenheit = 1 Celsius, 32.8° Fahrenheit = 1° Celsius So 666° Celsius = 1230.8° Fahrenheit (666 x 1.8 + 32)

At level 6 it’s (I think) talking about the demos included site as I use it in school and it has a graphing calculator (basically a normal calculator but it puts every answer(s) into a graph table on the side)

On level 8 substrac every single number by 3 so... If you put "1746273 " just put seven 3s "1746273 - 3333333 = −1,587,060" great video! 🎉🎉🎉

Try doing an AMC, all of them are available online for free by searching “AMC (8, 10, or 12 based on what grade level) (year) A/B”. An example would be AMC 12 2017 B for the competition in 2017 for 12th graders version B

diamond 333 gave 0 and diamond 666 gave 333, the next part of that pattern had to be diamond 999 gave 666. Not sure why you didnt see that as your 333 and 666 answers where close together.

And for Level 10, the formula for Fahrenheit to Celsius is: c = (f-32)/1.8

level 8 is just single digit minus 3 double digits minus 33 and triple digits is minus 333 i don’t know how you didn’t see it while you almost immediately could have figured it out with your first two or three guesses
