The initial idea of woods soup was invented last year by a smol channel @duneasmr (no talking) even though the credits list a bigger channel else who started doing it just 3 months ago... the fizzy tablets was GENIUS! Just Erin adding her creative flare as always! 🙌👌
@@ShhheilaASMR Actually, I’d like to clarify something as I think it’s only fair. Dune put wood in a bowl of water because he saw Vito ASMR do it. He has said this himself. So, if anyone should be credited, it would likely be Vito, I’d say 😊 Since I had made a “Wood Soup”, naming it exactly that…and then continued with making it a series back in January - without ever having seen it done before, some people tend to attribute their first experience with “Wood Soup” with my account. Just as I had never seen it before, similarly, neither had they. Entirely probable. But, I’m old enough and humble enough 💜to never stake claim in “inventing” anything. Kids have been doing this same thing for decades. Here, it’s really just down to timing. And a trend •happened• in January. Sometimes one person starts something and then another comes along and unintentionally makes it popular. And then the trend turns into ASMRtists interpreting the idea or trigger in their own way. The “art” part ❤ (But, because misinformation is not something that sits well with me, just for the record, Dune retroactively changed the name/thumbnail of his old video to “Wood Soup” only after the hashtag started trending. He admitted this in writing himself. ❤ Not trying to be a jerk, but that could certainly mislead, couldn’t it. And I’d like to think that in a community of creative folks, that’s not what anyone would be trying to do intentionally. I hope not anyway.)
I absolutely loved the casual, laid-back feel of this video. This was so fun and I could tell you were having fun doing it! And seeing your cats was a delight.
Yes which is why every time I watch her videos I get the feeling that she is this perfect girl from a perfect world without a single worry on her mind. I also realise that thats just the impression she makes and we know nothing that happens behind camera.
This reminds me of when I was a kid💖💖💖 There was this story book I used to read, called “Stone Soup”, where a town gathers together to make stone soup. One would bring salt, one would bring pepper etc. I LOVED this book as a kid, & pretended to make soup by taking a toy bowl, putting hose water in it, & taking pebbles or pieces of grass to make my own “stone soup”. I would narrate myself making the soup, just like in the book. (I think I had this disk thingy that would play an audio version of the book while we read the real copy) I would get so invested in making my own stone soup, that I would pretend to mess up and spill the soup, just so I could repeat the process again😂💖. (What a waste of water😭). This reminds me of making my stone soup, but also playing in my toy kitchen as a small kiddo. This Brings back a lot of good memories, especially since you and your Channel are so cozy☺️💖. Love your videos! Have a good day💖💖💖

I had those play vegetables as a kid and could cut them for hours. Just cutting and putting them back together, this relaxed me immensly. Back then I was confused by this, but this was a very nice rememberence back to this time! Thank you Erin! :)

"A watched pot never boils" is such a cheeky thing to say when in order to make the pot "boil" you have to add fizzy tablets offscreen, making the statement literally true. it'll never boil while we're looking at it. Really clever humor, I enjoy that a lot

I love this concept and the wood is super tingly but the culinary training in me looks at Erin chopping these veggies and can only think “Watch those fingers! You’ll be missing one before you know it! Curl those knuckles, make the bear claw!” 😅

I was so so so pleased to find that the veggies are not attached via velcro. I used to have toys like that, by rather then magnets they had velcro in the middle. It makes the most horid sound.
