I can't tell if he's just writing gibberish, or in another language, but I have never seen someone use that many 'q's while simultaneously using hardly any 'u's and nothing from the bottom row on his left hand. Sounds great though.
Bought this keyboard after watching a few videos like these. I can confirm that they do sound like this in person. Unlike HHKBs, the FC660C has a metal plate like realforce boards, but the domes are also slightly snappier. I used tribosys 3204 instead for the slider and it has the same effect.
@@xiaomingthecatdoctor.6753 It's hard to explain if you never typed on a topre board. The actuation starts at the top which is different from mx tactile or clicky switches. You can say that the bump is "rounder" and the its smooth all the way down. Unlike membranes, you feel the travel distance and the bottom out is not mushy... I would say its soft instead. Also, you often bottom out on these switches and the upstroke is strong (produces most of its sound). Overall, topre are my favorite switches for work since its smooth, responsive, and feels great after long use periods. So, to answer your question, topre is not membrane or mechanical, these are rubber domes. If you want a soft and responsive typing experience, most people would agree that topre is the way to go. However, like most things, its all subjective.
@W topre is pretty comfy to type on for hours on end, i know some programmers typing all day that use topre. Pretty sure he lubed the sliders and stabs
@W You have lube both sides of each slider (used 3204), and then lube the stabilizers (used 205g0) to reduce the rattle. The less, the better it is. DBOKEY has another video going through the process. Takes a bit of time (2h for me) but well worth it. I can personally type much longer on topre boards compared to MX style since the typing experience is softer. Also, I make less mistake touch typing because of the tactility.
Im genuinely asking, im new to this keyboard thingy just because i LOOOVEE this kind of keyboard sound thats sounds "heavy"? i think people said thocc or something lol. i was wondering, is it possible to buy a keyboard that just like this? because i dont think i would know how to do the modification thingy hhh i love this so much!! thank you for the video!
this is a leopold fc660c, and yes the "thoccy" sound you are describing comes from lubricating the stems of the topre switch. Without the lubrication it wouldn't have such a deep and bassy sound.
@@mrb-btw Tbh just a voiceless keyboard asmr vid cant have crazy editing and all but the editor is talented and the vid looks and sounds pretty good… if the editor had to edit a full vid then it would be epic
