Eee I'm so excited and happy the maps arrived ok. Loved hearing you talk while you traced ^_^ I'm gonna sleep so well 😴. Also super happy for you that you're already nearly at 20k!
I’m from the South Island of New Zealand! Thank you for making the effort to pronounce the Māori names correctly! I remember using those maps on road trips as a kid. Great video 💛
I can’t stop watching your videos since I found your channel a few days ago, they are all truly amazing. For the first time, I come back after falling asleep to actually finish the video because I’m way too interested in everything you present. You do a really good job, thank you so much!!! Now I’m going to enjoy this journey in New Zealand hehe 🤗
Thank you, Manon, that's a really sweet comment! And I'm happy to hear you're falling asleep to my videos, that's what they're there for after all haha.
@@MelangeASMR I highly recommend it! I found it hard to explore the south island due to less transport options but theres a lot going on in the north island. As a fan of volcanos it was fascinating :D
Another one of my favorite ASMRtists is from New Zealand (Nana Fox) so I’ve learned a lot about it in the past, but the level of depth you go into regarding elements of the history and geography is just outstanding. I feel even more informed and hopeful to one day go there. I’m so happy to have found your channel. I absolutely love your work. Also, I can’t believe that even though your subscribers and comments are exploding, you take the time to respond to so many people. You must be a very busy person these days! Thank you so much for what you are doing. I am devouring your content and I’m more relaxed (and informed) than ever!!
Nana Fox is wonderful, I love her so much! Aw thank you, I'm glad it's appreciated - the last month has definitely been a bit stressful 😅 I definitely can't keep up with everyone anymore, but almost all comments are so generous with positive feedback or interesting bits of information and it's a very rewarding part of youtube for me. (There's the occasional... interesting person lol, but I guess that's always part of it.)
I am so glad I discovered this channel. It is my new, favorite go-to channel for ASMR. The videos are so interesting and your voice and hand movements are perfection! Thank you for taking the time to make such great content!
As a New Zealander seeing this video made my week. Beautiful pronunciation of the Māori place names. I think these maps might have been printed before the Lord of the Rings were made 😅 but Matamata in the Waikato region is where Hobbiton scenes were filmed. These maps bring back very fond memories. Thank you Jack
as a kiwi i feel so special seeing this vid !!!! ur videos always calm me down and help me to sleep/relax and i've found that your videos can stop my breakdowns from ptsd !! so thank you for all that you do
I’ve been to both North and South islands ,only saw a Kiwi stuffed or in the Zoo . Stewart island is where you can see them ,it’s mainly Tui and kereru .Lovely place to visit and Milford sounds is beautiful on the South Island.
Actually I've lived in New Zealand for a year. If your still searching for the LOTR sets habe a look around the City called Matamata. There is the famous hobbiton set, I've lived in exactly that city for working. It's near Hamilton. You can also have look near the Tongariro Mountains in the middle of the north island, there where also a couple of sets. But most of the films was filmed on the south Island as far as I know In the southern Alps and their near area.
Hi Tabea, thank you!! I don't know why I just couldn't see them haha, I even looked up locations online and then checked on the map and still nothing 😅 Very happy you enjoyed the video. NZ sounds like such a wonderful country!
I love NZ. It’s beautiful. But that ferry ride across the strait is the most seasick I have ever been in my life. I barely remember the trip, I blocked it out haha.
Dein Videos sind wirklich mit die besten, die ich je gesehen habe. Ich liebe Karten und habe, gerade als Archivarin schon lange nach jemanden gesucht, der sie für seine Videos benutzt. Hab vielen Dank. Du bist wirklich Klasse.🥰💙💜😍💫🌙✨📝📖
THE best voice in the business. That’s why you have been discovered and your subs are exploding. Perfect tone and perfect cadence, with no cringy “role plays”. You have found the formula!
Only just discovered your channel, really love your vids. Love the way you touch the maps like they are very precious artifacts, it reminds me of the grocery guy in the film Amelie; the reason she likes him is way he handles the vegetables. Your English is amazing btw, have you lived over here?
Aw thank you, I loved that movie! One of the few I bought on DVD when it came out. I haven't, but I'm good friends with some native speakers. That helped a lot!
Despite English, I’m assuming, not being your first language, you have such a clear and intelligible way of speaking. It’s absolutely brilliant to listen to and I don’t ever find myself going “huh” or “what did she say?”. And being from England myself you are more well spoken than many people I have met 😂.
Aw thank you, that's very good to hear! And you're right, English is a second language for me, but I've been very lucky with the amount of immersion I've had which honestly is the best way to learn. (I don't understand half the people in England, so I would never know haha)
I know this is a bit different, but can you please do a map tracing of Dallas,Texas or Los Angeles? I’ve lived in both of them and would like to see one of them traced. Thanks from America, Mr. Grantham
Hello Mr. Grantham! The US or parts of it have been requested a couple of times now, so I'm definitely making a video, but it'll probably take a while until I get to it. There have been quite a lot of suggestions recently 😅 I appreciate it, though, thank you!
