Hi guys! In April/May, I took a 2 week long road trip through northern Italy, mainly doing a lot of hiking, rock climbing, and sight-seeing. It was a TON of fun and I'm really happy I can share it with you guys. I've been talking about making this vlog for a while now and after soooo much editing, it's finally done. You can tell I'm not a professional videographer (all the shaky footage... omg) but I hope you guys still like it. :) Everything was shot on my iPhone and I honestly think it did a pretty good job!

This is absolutely breathtaking. Sometimes my depressed little heart gets to be too heavy, then I see something as beautiful as this and I am reminded that there is whole world out there --- and maybe I need to just take my boys and go on an adventure. I usually don't watch ASMR videos because I prefer listening to them while doing something else, but I'm glad I decided to watch this one after a quick look at the beautiful scenes at the beginning. And then at minute 4:11 I immediately recognized the place! Finale Ligure is such a cute little town and I'm very glad you enjoyed staying there. In case you didn't know, you can take that walkway right in front of you and you can go by foot or bike to the left all the way to Varigotti (which boasts an enormous area of free beach), while enjoying an incredible closeup view of the sea. During summer I must have gone to Finale with my parents for more than 20 years in a row until the initial COVID outbreak, and I'm really looking forward to returning. In case you ever happen to visit again, and you're curious about trying out some local products like olives and extra virgin olive oil, I can tell you how to reach the shop/lab of a dear acquaintance 👍 Thanks for reminding me of those good times, please take good care and come to northern Italy again if you have the chance ❤

(From my experience) very… VERY few speak english. Spent a little over a week there and i Can count on my hands how Many i could actually communicate with. Could just be the area i was at, but just a heads up.

What is it with everyone going to Italy this summer?! I went on a Royal Caribbean cruise that took me to Florence, Capri, and Rome and I was infuriated when it was time to go back to the ship. Literally 10 hours each day was not enough. Thank you for this lovely video Sarah!

You should definitely hit up Peru next! What could be better than hiking through the Andes to Machu Picchu? And the food on the trail and off was chef’s kiss! Even though our guide got us lost and I was having a battle of the bowels from drinking his unfiltered water, it was still the best experience of my life! 😂

I visited Cinque Terre 4 years ago. It was one of the most gorgeous places I´ve ever been to. Such an idyllic and romantic setting and atmosphere and a beauiful contrast to the also beautiful Rome I visited the days before.

Beautifully captured, Sarah. 👏 I know it’s uber reductive to do this, but whenever I see the peaceful towns and vistas of continental Europa, I can never seem to help but think of how wildly different it must have been during the two World Wars. We’re lucky to have so much and so many survive the conflicts or be restored after. Mostly though, most of us are just lucky to only really know [something approximating] peace in our time. Gah. Silly thoughts in response to a beautiful video.

Just beautiful Sarah. Great Video. And you did a great job telling your story of travel. I hiked the whole Cinque Terre route. From Monterosso al Mare to Riomaggiore. About 6-7 hours.
