ASMR Vintage Jimmy Choo Handbag Repair
It’s inevitable that your favourite bag will eventually become worn and torn from accompanying you to your favourite bar and on your yearly holidays.
We received this Jimmy Choo into our clinic that the owner was preparing to say her final farewells too, until she realised our artisans could bring it back to life. The base was torn and the zip broken so we had to entirely deconstruct the bag in order to rescue it.
Unstitching the side panels and loosening the golden eyelets, we were eventually able to tease the torn leather off the bag to then start the process of drawing, cutting and hand stitching the replacement leather to ensure a seamless finish.
The replacement panel goes through a stringent process of skiving (thinning the hide), dying and eventually edging to ensure the integrity of the Jimmy Choo design isn’t compromised and will look its best for another 20 years.
