I'm so broken right now. I was assaulted a week ago, and my partner didn't respond like this at all...I was yelled at, accused of cheating, told it WAS "my fault," and broken up with on the spot. It was as if every single pain I felt was amplified, and invalidated at the same time. I'm so sorry for the personal story, but I don't have anywhere to go...

I agree, nobody need to be hurt in anyway, in there reason at all no hurting someone alway be kind. I go to school at holling hights elementary, #BEKIND is a goal to every student in that school goal. Be kind to people around you and help them to understand what there doing wrong.
this really hits me because I was abused by my father and older brother since I was 5, no one really seemed to care except my mother,but she was abused too. we finally moved last year and as far as I know, its over.

I am abused in my own mind my 2 year older sister molested me when i was 12 she was 14 she hit me bullied me every way possible my parents don't know about the sexual stuff and i hated woman who wanted sex like that i can't handle people anymore im learning to love myself im 16 now she's 18 so i never have to see her again this really helped me so much man thank you for giving me hope for a weak teenager boy im not ashamed of crying..

I'm a victim of two rapes by acquaintances, one by a stranger, and countless ones by an ex this year after leaving an abusive family that trafficked me last year and I don't know how to heal. I go to work every day, put on a brave face, a smiling one, but I'm dying inside. I wish the world would understand how much i hurt and need to fall apart but it doesn't.

This is so helpful especially when my boyfriend isn't here to do this I was sexually assaulted last year and for the past 3 days it's been horrible 14 panic attacks in that time frame so this helps with the nightmares

I have one idea in my head for quite some time thinking of writing a story...maybe you could make an audio of it... your best friend is married and has a small baby and after some time of not being in contact you once just come to visit her without letting her know. You find her e.g. lying on the floor all bruised, beat up and in pain (maybe still bleeding?), the baby crying...you find out that her husband is abusing her in many ways mentally and physically, but she already got in the "magic circle" of not being able to leave him. So you decide to take her and the baby away immediately, first taking her to a hospital somewhere far away and under some fake name/story so he cannot find her there. My idea goes even further into "building a friend circle that is anytime willing and able to kick his ass (the best friend's best friend is a baseball bat :-D). My main character which is the " victim's" best friend broke both his legs with it (one can dream :-D)

This helps so much. I was attacked by a gang of older people and ended up in hospital because of it, I’ve been having anxiety attacks and insomnia because of it ever since, all my friends abandoned me because of it and I didn’t have anyone. No one cared, they just thought I was being stupid. This seems to have helped with coping with everything thats happened and still is happening so thank you cardlin for giving me the ability to pretend that someone cares.

Where has this channel been for all the years I needed it? I mean, I still need it, but I wish I had found it sooner. I have PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Major Depression, and anxiety caused by years of verbal and emotional abuse that still occurs some today. It took years for me to start getting the help I need (started last year) so this is extremely helpful. Thank you so much for posting videos like this :)

I actually struggle when people get mad so if I get hurt (mentally or physically) from it I get scard and then if people get mad when I am hurt I get even more scared😰...This was so helpful thanks.☺

If you have been abused, dont believe that it is your own fault. no one deserves to get abused and i wish i didnt happen. i fear that i could some day happen to me and i am thankful that it hasnt but all i can do is pray for the brave souls that went through this and stood strong the entire unfortunate time in your life. sometimes the world will beat you down and try to break you but as a wise man once said “When the going gets tough, the tough get going”(Timone from the lion king 2) you are tough, unbreakable, strong, beautiful, amazing and so much more that i cant even put into words. if this happens to you, remember that you are not a fault and someone in this small world does/ will love and care for you. i hope that this lifted the spirits of people that have been through this. thank you cardlin for bringing awareness to this troublesome reality of this world

The first video I actually saw of cardlin was this when I was in the hospital after being sexually assaulted and shot by my step mom and bio dad. This is why cardlin is one of my fav people to listen to. I was crying in the hospital room with my weighted blanket on me, just listening on repeat, crying myself to sleep. I would listen to it at the store, the car, literally anywhere I could possibly get to it. It's something that's helped me throughout my abusive family and I find myself returning to it now as a sign that in a year I'll be away from it all. I'll never have to face these people again. And it's amazing. Because I never thought I'd love long enough to do so. Yeah, I still have till september of next year, but cardlins audios never fail to give me a safe space even if for a little while. So thanks card, you kinda saved me.

I know this video is two years old, but I just found this and it's helping me with pent up emotions. For the first time in two years I've found something that makes me feel better. Long story short, my brother physically and sexually abused me for a little while and my parents didn't want to help, they just threatened to kick him out, no punishment, nothing. I begged them for therapy but claimed that it wouldn't help and that I should just get over it. They blamed me for it being my fault, when he would steal the key to my room from my dad, forcefully pry open my door and do things. I'm sorry for making this too long.

I wish that this was the reaction from a guy who I was really interested in. When I told him what had happened to me about 2 weeks prior, he seemed really supportive and understanding. I had pulled him aside to talk about this about an hour before our junior homecoming dance started. He was my date to the dance and I thought that I loved him. And I think that I did. But at the dance he began to make some jokes regarding the subject. I felt uncomfortable and went to leave, but then he pulled me into the conversation saying "Well I bet that you know how that feels, don't you Sierra? Some people just really don't know how to defend themselves or say no." I was heartbroken. I had trusted him with this fragile piece of myself, I had told him only a few hours ago. I hadn't really told anyone except for my family. He was the first person outside of family that knew. And he goes and makes jokes about it and my assault. I cried. I cried not only from the reminder and the harsh words, but also from the betrayal of someone close. The third betrayal in 2 weeks. So this video really means a lot to me. I didn't receive any support or comfort when I first told my mother about what happened the day of. Instead I got negativity and was told that she couldn't deal with me right now. And she hung up on me, crying in the back room of my advisory. And every time I would try and reach out to someone, they would shoot me down in some way. And I continued to withdraw into myself. But I am doing a little bit better now and am proud to say that I am 4 months clean. Which is a step in the right direction. But I just feel that I can't move on until I've made peace with the people who hurt me the most. And they are people who mean the world to me. But I don't know how to tell them about the pain that I went through. And the things that I'm going through. I'm terrified to tell them. And terrified to get help. So I'm at a bit of a standstill. I’ve been out of it for about two years now, and so much has changed. For the better. But holy fuck this broke me down. Your voice is warm and calming, it just hit me in such a specific way. I know this video is years old, but I’m glad I found it. Oddly enough, that was an emotional catharsis I needed.

Even though this is almost three years old it really helps. My step father had actually fought me (because I was late for curfew) busted my lips and knocked my jaw out of place and my mom had me sleeping in the car for the night and it was hard dealing with it especially since the guy I was with didn’t really...do...anything. I wish someone would have reacted like this, it feels really nice and calming....
I never ended up in the hospital but when I was in middle school (still am in middle school) my male “friend” touched me inappropriately in my lower area and when I had reported it my teachers and principals believed my but no one in my school did and I got bullied severely and it lead my to do somethings. All in all your videos really help me and make me feel safer.
My Grandfather broke every rib in my rib cage kicking me with his steel toed boots. He said if my grades were better he wouldn't have to hurt me. And my Grandmother went to bail him out of jail instead of going to the hospital with me. I wish someone had said that it wasn't my fault and that he'd never hurt me again, instead of being alone to cry. I was 17 and scared out of my mind. Years later and I'm still not "over it".
