@@Yeen66 its made from formaldehyde but the reaction means basically none is left in the end product. I wouldn't go playing with it regularly but an hour or so for a video every few months should be fine, florists have much more exposure accumulated over a few months
A friendly reminder: While it does sound very satisfying, floral foam is very toxic and should be handled accordingly. Inhaling or interacting with floral foam for long periods of time _(which is often the case in many ASMR channels making repeated videos regularly)_ leads to higher chances of skin cancer and respiratory diseases. _You won't be in immediate danger when first interacting with it, so no need to fear if you've had exposure in the past! If you regularly handle it and use it a lot,_ make sure you always wear gloves, masks, and any other proper safety equipment when using it, even when it's wet. 10 days later edit: Thank you to those who have offered supportive information! I've added details in _italics_ to properly detail and correct my previous statement. Hopefully this alleviates any fears!
@@kuhntie you’re the kind of person who wants people to wear safety glasses when mixing water and salt in a lab. We’re all gonna die some day, eating food laced with dangerous growth hormones will get us well before floral foam will. Get over it
@@kadenielsen210 actually genuinely curious, why would wanting to inform people on health risks relating to using a specific substance be a bad thing? i have to assume you’re still a kid or something or some neet living at home with mommy and daddy, considering MOST jobs have extensive health and safety protocols. you know, like in a floral department of a grocery store or when you’re dealing with potentially health risking materials and most adults would take it seriously. why is informing a content creator about the dangers of a particularly risky material that is popular in the asmr community cringe???? be better, kade.
@@B3_6 No, it's actually for positioning real flowers and filler plants (hence all the water) in an arrangement that might stand vertically or that doesn't have a vase. Think floral sprays and casket blankets. The foam blocks are usually mounted on some kind of stand or plastic base and both keep the plants hydrated and hold them in position.
You should try gym chalk! Its the same vibe as floral foam but very crunchy sounding and great for carving. You can even dye it different colors (if you let it dry) :)
I'm a horticulturist. Thank you so much for doing what I can't! It's so difficult to not ruin the oasis. This is so satisfying. To those saying it's toxic: just don't breathe in the dust, don't eat the oasis, and wash your hands after handling. It's not as bad as some of you seem to think.
if anyone wants to try this at home, please wear gloves and a mask. the stuff is pretty bad. the sounds are worth it to some probably but just putting this out there just in case. the sounds are really amazing. edit 24/09/03 damn I started an argument. the reason why I commented this was because I don’t trust any of yall to be safe with floral foam and the replies only convince me more LMFAO
I hope your studio is alright, but we appreciate the sacrifice in order to achieve such good sounds! I haven't been able to find an asmr video for awhile that has given me the amount of relaxation and tingles that this one has, thank you so much!
Don’t worry 😉 floral foam like this can not be toxic to a human in this amount, he is using a type of floral foam called rigitine foam and is not harmful to humans unless it’s in large amounts.
@@theSkin_of_a_Killer_Bella well, it probably depends on the amount of water and floral foam. Im guessing that the floral foam is overpowering the water, that is if what you said is true.
I have been looking for a good wet/dry floral foam video for what feels like years now! Thank you so much for this & I hope your studio is ok! You know how to make lemons into lemonade 😁
Warning, none of the people in this comment section have any clue what they are talking about. Floral Foam is only toxic is you use it everyday for 50 years without washing your hands once.
It's been awhile since I last saw something from this channel, I'm glad to see it back in action! 💕 Your ASMRs are so relaxing, I could fall asleep to them at the drop of a hat. Wonderful work!
It must be RU-vid suppressing his content in your algorithm because he posts regularly on mine. That sucks, I hope they fix it soon, it really impacts a persons channel.
@@LaceJellyfish Oh yeah, there are a ton of people I am subscribed to who have their content suppressed all the time. Unless I physically navigate to their channels I won't see most of their content show up in my feed. RU-vid is a spiteful AI driven monstrosity as it is right now.
OMG! Second video EVER to give me tingles!!! Sorry about your studio flooding, I hope it's alright now, but you did an amazing job. Something like 5 years or so I've listened to asmr and you and Marno are the only asmrtists to ever give me tingles. Thank you so much!
I think that he was joking about the studio flooding, because the foam is wet and probably made a mess. At least I hope so! If not, I’m sorry and I wish you the best luck :)
@@apodev9879No, it fucking isnt. You idiots need to stop spreading this fear mongering mantra about floral foam. Do some basic research and you'll find that its toxic if you dont wash your hands afterwards or use it every day for a couple of decades
This reminds me, there’s something about some stressful situations like this that make me realize “hmm there’s good amsr opportunity here.” Also I hope the studio is ok!
@@oIIified Most of them are made with carbon black and formaldehyde. Just these two substances are toxic for both us and animals, so they should be handled accordingly indeed. I'm quite worried by the amount of people in this comment section not knowing about what it actually do to the body, and willing to play with it without caution
Oh what a throwback! I remember floral foam being like the main protagonist of the very first viral asmr videos back in 2015/16, unexpected to see it again! Master work as always! Thank you!
@@burpo614 yeah I’m referring to the Asmr bubble exploded on Instagram, I wasn’t into asmr here on yt at that time (yeah that’s weird agah). Anyway cool to know!
The internet is something else, In one side, You’re being recommended the most beautiful and honest restorations in the world, Amazing crafts and talented working hands and good advice from the people who are wise in their profession. Then theres this.
Hello, I just want to say that I would recommend that you wear gloves because I saw, that when you were destroying the wet floral foam with your hands, I saw that an amount of it got stuck in your nails and that stressed me
some people argue that floral foam is not that toxic, but some people also argue that human-caused global warming is not real i adore the sounds though, i won't lie
It’s genuinely upsetting to see so many florists say that this isn’t toxic.😭😭It’s common knowledge that specific types of this foam contain toxic chemicals to inhale. You’re obviously not gonna die from sticking flowers into it, but repeatedly breaking, crushing, and inhaling for hours defo could.
I've been watching this video for 2 hrs straight, I've been looking, and listening, and laying down, but nothing has worked, every time i try to go to sleep at night by using ASMR, I can't ever fall asleep, I want to cry myself to sleep, but even that hasn't worked.
@@apodev9879 he already knows stop spamming comments. This one is fine, but you're giving info to people who don't need it, not to the ones saying they want to do this.
