Tips for freshman : reach out to new people right away! Everyone is in the same situation and it makes the first week easier if you have others with you.
Hi, he’s not saying he’s going to close the channel. He said “that includes this channel” 14:57 which he meant he wanted to spend more time posting on this channel etc during the summer.

Congratulations on your graduation, Dom! 👏🏽 I’m 19 atm graduated last year and am also in the process of figuring out life right now, deciding on which path to go both academically and personally. It’s not easy, cause there’s so much to consider and so many things you have to deal with, especially when you want to move out of home like I do, far away from friends, family and everything you're used to. I’m really scared tbh, but instead I try my best to be excited for what is to come, bc in the end it’s all going to work out eventually, I’m sure! So try not to stress yourself out too much and just focus on enjoying your life :)
Chicago is a great city definitely my favorite city so far, it’s cleaner than new york but has the same vibe. You’ll also love running by lake shore it’s such a vibe and helps clear your head!
Congrats on graduating! One of the best things I did at the beginning of college is to get involved with a group that interests you. You'll meet people who like the same thing, and build meaningful relationships that way. And, not that I have kids, but remember to call home. :)
You will thrive at college (university here in England)! Best piece of advice I was ever given is to forget the future, keep the best bits of your past in your heart and live for today x. AND UR A STAR WARS FAN 😇
you should definitely try 'east of eden'. sure way to fall in love with reading. often its value is associated with how much info you can get out of it. but it can actually make you connect more with yourself to read random stories about random people, just for the sake of hearing their story. i found it helped me to feel more empathy towards everyone around me. super magical and whimsycal hahaha also for fashion - get yourself a 90 pair of sunnies, and some perly sparky jewellry. it can feel satisfying to find great pieces, don't rely on trends to make you feel confident. your personal style is made of all sorts of details that tickled something in your brain. throw them around any outfit, it's fun.
I'm also off to college next year (Loyola Marymount University in CA) and I can totally relate to sort of feeling like I barely started to know everyone better and now we're all parting ways. My school also had those set of activities that were seniors only and were just very bonding, I wish we had those earlier so that I would've crossed paths with some people sooner. But like you said, it's all part of the process. I guess everything changes; people, places, life, but it all works out and everyone ends up where they're supposed to. I think freshman year will be great, lots of new friends, classes, passions, etc. I'm a STEM major too, so I relate there as well, it's gonna be hard but worth it. Good luck with everything and I hope you continue posting.
i will also be a freshman this yr in college, at IU. ngl besides the planning for college, i have been trying to mentally prep myself for the change ahead and its def not easy. but i am excited for the future and how much i will be able to grow. if highschool taught me one thing it is, to give yourself some grace and to not leave regrets, so that is the mindset i want to go to college with. everything you said is very valid. i wish you the best on your new journey!!
college is going to be so much fun! i wouldn’t break up for college but that’s a step you taken and good luck to you. remember most freshman don’t know anyone so don’t feel like you’re alone! usually colleges have things going on the first week or so; good luck :) !
Thank you for coming in my life as a person that we don’t know each other before. am so happy to hear your voice with your videos. and thank you for sharing your journey with us I wish you enjoy your life in university big congratulations to you for graduation and I am also just finished graduate university.🥺❤️ Love and support as a biggest fan from Thailand 🇹🇭
Best piece of college advice is to experience as many things as possible. High school is about navigating yourself; college is about navigating the world. So join that random club, try a new sport or activity, find random nooks in the library to do work in, go on walks with friends, explore empty buildings on campus. You’ll cherish it all when you’re done. 🫡
Some tips I have would be to get to know people, also take advantage of any activities or groups that are available if you’re interested in. There might be a volleyball team there so be on the look out if you want to give it a go. Also make sure you do stay on top of classes, you will have more freedom but procrastination might come with it since professors aren’t as strict with what you do
Your life is only just beginning. I wish I could go back to my high-school days and revisit old memories and old friends long forgotten. Once u go to college and begin a career you will make new friends and connections and reminisc on your high-school days. I know it's hard now, but your life will only get better! ❤
I just finished my second year of college for computer engineering, my advice for college would just be to try and talk to people, I honestly didn’t really make any friends my first year bec I just got in the cycle of just going to class and heading home without going any where to meet people or just not talking to people in class bec I’m just kinda introverted. Other thing is some of the classes are just really easy and I just learned this semester that it’s better worth my time just skipping the class and watching the recording 2x speed lol and a lot of the stuff you just got to teach yourself with YT,textbook, or chatGBT anyway bec professors are but. Hope that helps
I’ll join NU this fall as well! (as a PhD student tho lol) You’ll probably love Evanston where NU is - it’s a really walkable lovely chilled small town and there are basically all gothic houses around the campus
You’ll love Chicago. Great public transportation system, friendly people and gorgeous architecture/ history. When you’re old enough and hopefully they still perform then; you must check out drunken Shakespeare.
I also wanted to get into running but it is hard since it’s just that. I started playing tennis and it gets that feeling of out of breath but in a fun way. You will be running across the courts so the running is there but you don’t really feel it
I lovee that u wanna get into personal finance I love it alot and really suggest the book Rich Dad Poor Dad it is great. So is the millionaire next door.
since you asked for freshman advice- all i can say is, dont stress yourself out. i graduated from college a couple years back, & vividly remember feeling anxious about the smallest things. remember to enjoy the lil moments, & take sufficient breaks time to time.
