While I really like Asmr with zen music, or sounds of nature, what I absolutely love is just hearing stuff being created... Wood carving, needle felting, cooking videos... Also, it's interesting to see the way you hold the piece of wood, and carve away from your hands, cause you make it look easy, but it can actually be a very dangerous craft!

@@BeaverCraftTools Thanks for the reply. I understand it's not a hardwood ( in fact it's pretty similar to balsa in that regard), I am curious as to whether you can make a usable spoon from it, or if the wood is too soft for the spoon to be anything more than decorative.

@@robbie6625 you're right, Robbie. Basswood spoons are mainly decorative spoons. But we manufacture wood carving blocks for beginner woodcarvers, so we don't use hardwood. Nevertheless, we'll take into account manufacturing woodcarving blocks from hardwood.

I really love how he just goes straight into the satisfying part of the carving unlike most other wood carving asmr vids where they start off with cutting down the tree itself like bruh that ain’t satisfying and how there’s no intro or anything he just goes straight into it. Thanks for making this video I genuinely appreciated it! Please make more like this in the future! 😁

As someone who suffers the effects of PTSD, for myself I find this incredibly therapeutic . It slows down my sensory input and is very calming. Thanks very much!

Have you considered putting a wood insert/peg in your table or using a clamp of some sort, for the beginning part I think it could've saved you a lot of effort with not having to press the wood against yourself. Also offers a fair amount of control with each stroke of the tool. Great vid, thumbs up ^^

Thanks for your advice. Agree that it saves a lot of effort. We use it in this video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-axiGtO48_KE.html&ab_channel=BeaverCraft&t=1m42s
