I think it was very clear that was the first place his thoughts went, when he kept mentioning his species being a dying breed. People may have missed it, but the Dragon began bargaining with the listener very quickly after he confronted her about barging into his home uninvited. Once a Dragon begins to question, who are you, are you lost, or what is your purpose. Those questions signal the ritual to negotiate, Dragons never give anything for free and since the listener disturbed him and he was lonely he decided the listener was his to keep. Dragons are possessive and passionate once they decide someone is theirs, you are never getting away from the dragon. Once he changed into human form, he was going to get personal and ensure then listener understood exactly what that means. Interwoven means joined, so happy honeymoon with a yandere lonely dragon. The listener will become very knowledgeable on this dragon's possessive and passionate nature.
