Oh god, this is such a faithful representation of Handler's/Snicket's formal style. I can never get enough of the "[Word] is a word which here means [idiosyncratic definition]" gag. _And_ the narrator cut-in moment just before the ending, to foreshadow the inevitable fuckery that's going to happen by the story's end. This is all so great.
