They're not a tribute band or a cover band. I'm officially calling this a "Continuation Band" as they're writing original music in the style of another band lost to time. Someone should do this with the Beatles
In 1979 a friend gave me a single. Motorhead "Overkill" I was so struck by the sound it's started my decent into Heavy Metal. This is Ace lads the sound that's been missing since Lemmy decended into Valhalla.🤘
But. They are bad ass. I love Motorhead. There was a band called Rhinobucket back in the late 80s??? Sounded a lot and I mean a whole lot like ACDC. They didn't do too much but a few songs with airplay and openings. That's what I worry about really good bands like Asomvel. I play music and can tell a difference even if the looks and sounds are similar. And face it. Most people that listen to music don't even bother to hear the music. If the did Taylor Swift would be walking the streets of skidrow somewhere and the boys of Greenday would be sorting through mail in an office building and so on down the line. But in today's music industry, don't you ever say, "Fuck the MAN." Mainly because they are THE MAN. And the have agendas and it doesn't matter how good the music is as long as the message is sanctioned now. No more Black Sabbaths, ACDCs, Motorheads, Zeppelins or anything anymore. Just brain dead conforming idiots getting signed contracts. That is sad. To me anyway.
@@daveweed2765 Agreed. Rhinobucket, there’s a name I have not heard in a long time. I play/write/record music too and yeah, the industry is just fucked. Hopefully Asomvel gets the right backing etc and have a long and successful career!
