Asphalt Legends Unite Multiplayer is UNPLAYABLE.

The players are somehow way wilder than in asphalt 9, I'm always getting kd ☠️🙏

This is something f2p player faced in most mp. Their only option is mediocre cars, and then there are thses 360 spammers

Every match is knocked down by someone even though I am giving them the entire street to pass me it's just too frustrating right now

Yep, I can confirm, multiplayer has gotten so bad that I've literally not touched it ever since the update. League mixing existing, when cross-play is also enabled, is absolutely bonkers tho lol... Let's just hope Gameloft fixes this, along with a TON of other bugs in the Windows version, like broken Overclock menu, no ad packs, and the "Pininfarina" Jesko Absolut on the Drive Syndicate page... On a random note, I HATE THE FACT THAT Gameloft changed up the cars required for the Rezvani Beast X and Cadillac Cien Concept events. Acura NSX and Porsche 911 Targa 4S are replaced by Vencer Sarthe and Ginetta G60, BRUH 🙄

Knockbacks are unacceptably unfair, and that’s why I’ve been stuck in Bronze I for 2 days despite having a maxed out 2017 NSX.

i strongly believe they should rework the knockdown system, because it's usually uncontrollable whether you get knocked down, and it's too punishing when it happens, because if it does the race is over for you. They should make it a bit harder to knock people down in general, and make the respawn time much faster.

This needs to be damn ghost! Making it where we have to drive the same car and skilled players have no choice but crashing eachother somehow and accidentally kd’ing eachother cuz it’s same speeds same line etc. This whole model is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen in any racing game over the last 20yrs

Mp2 change is good in my opinion because u race with any car u want and u get match with equal cars by rank not by league let's say if u use Ds E Tense u only match with similar cars so it is possible to reach legend league with only one car it helps lower people to reach higher tier

I thought the poor connections could of been reduced waaayyyyy lower, but it’s just becoming a staple throughout each update. It was probably a good idea to place some hot spot servers to get all of the information from each player and maybe balance out the stutters from certain regional players. Now I somewhat understood why Nintendo decided to delay it because there’s still a lot of work left to green light the update.

i just stopped playing MP1 when I got to Silver IV for the third time because I don't want to get demoted.

The base season multiplayer is very broken, that i barely play it. Im in bronze 1 and the best car i can use is an overclocked ds e tense 😭. The other multiplayer is much better but the gameplay also needs work, the random and very low effort knockdowns also have happened to me. Ive accidentally knocked people with just a perfect nitro or a simple drift and vice versa. Its incredibly unfair. There should also be an option to play with ghost multiplayer instead of classic.

I'm stuck at Gold 1 for the past 2 days. My laptop (940MX) can't handle unite, giving low FPS plus tons of freezes which makes me lose at least 10 seconds of race time. In Singapore, it basically becomes a slideshow. If the game is already declared unplayable even while having a smooth device, imagine how it is on old devices.

stuck between 1450-1500 range , the knockdown's are such a pain . i literally got knocked by a banging into someone's car from behind , i don't know how that's possible , maybe they used shockwave when the cars were in contact or something.

I made your video at 8 seconds! I've made it to Platinum II so far. I've been complaining about regular MP for a long time and this season has been the worst by far. The problem is Unite has made the parity problem far, far worse than it was before. When I first started Asphalt 9 in Fall 2020, many players didn't even know the fastest route to take on most tracks so, if you had a high acceleration car, you could win most races just by getting ahead at the start. I remember making it into the top-250 when my only good cars were the Apex, the Huracan and the Egoista. Back then, I'm pretty sure that your starting position was also randomized so, if you had the highest rating you might still get to start at the front of the pack, instead of the very back. This season in MP1 they've taken away pretty much all of the fast accelerating cars and the best players start at the back of the pack every race, with better cars. The result is predictable. All those players have to move through the field and, since they're driving slow accelerating cars, ghost runs out before they can get out front and this results in loads of carnage. My level of frustration has gotten to the point where I automatically block any player who goes out of their way to sabotage my race. This is probably an overreaction as I'm sure I've pissed off a few players in the thousands of hours I've played this game. Things have just become so toxic and I'm in a negative head space most of the time when I'm playing MP1. Wish Gameloft would do more to emphasize driving skill in MP, rather than luck and dirty driving tactics.

Totally agree with this one. Also the class mixing and filtering half of the cars only ads to the frustration (the old approach - bronze=D, silver=C etc. was much better). Cars from lower class that i spent lot of tokens on are now placed at the bottom of a higher league :/

What’s frustrating for me is that my phone sometimes lags for freezes for a split second to even a few seconds making me lose a few places or even putting me a distant last when I was near first place. Add to that the stupid Untie Pass mission to finish first in Tuscany, Paris, Scotland. It pisses me off. Not gonna buy Unite Pass if they keep adding these stupid missions. They should add back missions like getting air KDs or sandwich KDs and stuff like that.

Ive noticed that MP is more toxic. It's not fun when people are taking you out all the time, and they are doing it to be toxic as it slows them down to do so. Also, sometimes my game freezes for 10 secs and when it comes back im last place which compounds things. Im not having fun, i can't use the cars i want sick of being in the H20.

I had fun only in MP2 since you could use every car there. Its fun driving around with 1 star Tachyon, a car that I could never normally use in MP, while trolling some low end A class and High end C class.

I agree with you about knockdowns and how it’s unfair sometimes in both sides wether because of poor connection or how the race being played. For multiplayer, i think it’s much better than before especially the World Series where the cars have been sorted better beside the new divisions for leagues basing on our ranking and as well as for season series and how we can race with any car we own.

Simple solution: separate points system for! Example: Silver 1 vs Gold 4, 4 cars from silver 1 and 4 from gold 4, the 4 gold get the first 4 positions and 4 silver get bottom 4, 5 place for silver 1 is treated as 1 place , 6 position is treated has 2 place and so forth including mixing the position of both silver and gold leaguers! Is this a good solution or not!?

I'm so happy you finally touched on this because i made the same comment on your last video. Classic MP is basically unplayable because newer players are locked out of tiers for not having the required cars to progress and then we have to use the weaker cars we'd never normally use. I've been stuck on silver 2 since..AND THESE MF PLAYERS ON OTHER PLATFORMS PLAY VERY DIRTY. Thwey knock you down so much that you either have to knock them down first before they get you..or just rage quit..mfs playing like it's BURNOUT..I'm sick of this...fully

I love how I get to watch all of these things happen in the community while I wait for the switch release. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise? But man, I hope I don’t have to miss everything from the season(s) I miss while the switch version is still being worked on.

Random physics bug, the game telling you that you have a slow internet and many more painfull stuff that is preventing us from climbing the next league. Damn bro this is so relatable 😭👍

League mixing, but with higher increase in ratings and less deduction in ratings for lose, I will still accept it.

haha, you're finally experiencing what i experienced on a regular basis in a9 i take speedy cars, i get twisty tracks, i take handling cars, i get speedy tracks when im in trion in Caribbean or osaka or other twisty tracks, the rest of them are in handling oriented cars, i get kd'd after 50%

They can improve which cars are grouped together in a group apart from that i like this mp. Atleast its not only huracan and vanda anymore

I have been stuck in Bronze League with the Pininfarina H2 for the better part of the first week and decided to stop. Season Series on the other hand? I was beating anything imaginable with the Exotic Rides W70. Damn thing is a lot of fun. After editing this, I must add. Players should NOT be able to break another's shockwave upon a hard impact. It completely breaks to point of using shockwave. I lost count of the amount of time other cars hammered on from the side, broke my shockwave and left me to get knocked down by another.

the main issue i have with the new MP is that players are somehow able to use higher league cars while im not. today i played like 10 matches(im at bronze 1) and every single time there were people using the Nissan GTR and thw Acura NSX. And again the H2 speed spamming is just infuriating

mp2 without cars with over 85 accell is so bad. who at gameloft thought it was a good idea to make both the knockdown timer and ghosting timer to run out at 10 seconds 😭😭. I've raged so much and the worst part is i don't know how much rank i lost because a 007s knocked me down in my 4* chiron 😭😭

Fax, Im hard stuck Gold 1 bro trying to get to my platinum Cars but the issue is people in Platinum already using those cars are gatekeeping.

From the moment I unlocked puritalia berlinetta, I started getting into legend league once every 2 or 3 seasons, and when I got 007s i instantly got there. Now I am stuck playing with ds etense whilst my opponents have silver 1 cars...

No matter how Gameloft fix the Multiplayer system, fix this knockdown mechanism first. It is not fun at all when there is 360 spammer in lobby...

I have been able to get to legend league every season and multiplayer 1 event. However I always got there with the corvette grand sport (no I’m not the person who 360 kd’s everyone) and now I can’t get any farther than platinum 4 because my best car is the lykan hypersport and competition gets ridiculous compared to my car in plat 4. For low level garage players like me who used to be able to reach legend league every time is quite frustrating

Multiplayer needs some more options ( and needs to add lowest graphics settings for mid end phones (but in 60fps)

The multiplayer system is mostly balanced imo if they just make this mp ghost i think we would like it much better

Maybe not many know but they removed a bit good rewards from the milestone like c1 wildcard, which is really useful for a lot of things including halving the cost for upgrading DS c car

I’ve been there. The multiplayer system is way way way more unfair compared to asphalt 9. I’m still stuck on bronze because of this mess😂😂. Not just the controls that is causing me issues. Some players are too aggressive, league mixing is absolute bs and it’s just too much for me. That’s why I don’t play multiplayer that much😂😂

The new categorization of the cars is rather something to get used to which also makes it frustrating enough, that the higher-class cars in the lower league seem slower for some unknown reason. FYI many of the newcomers on the ALU are overexcited and make playing the Multiplayer a living hell with almost everyone trying to knockdown other players unprofessionally

My parents were wondering why I was abusing the whole time playing this game, they hear my shoutings and laugh it's so painful haha. But this really needs to be fixed because I'm stuck at Platinum IV since two days.

It's been fine for me. Of course occasionally I'll be in a race where I try to knock another player down and I'll hit them as many as three times in a row and nothing happens, only for someone else to come over and knock me down. That's a bit annoying. But overall it's not really been bad, not much different than 9. As far as being put against cars with higher ranks, that happened in 9 too, but rank numbers are not as important as the actual car stats anyways. You can compete with cars of significantly higher ranks if you choose to upgrade the right cars. It never ceases to amaze me how a maxed out e-tense can slay cars in the 3000 rank range through the city based maps because of the phenomenal handling, nitro, and acceleration. Or a maxed H2 speed, NSX, or Viper ACR can slay cars with top speeds 30+ mph higher because their handling and is so much better. I regularly beat players with cars that are 500+ higher in rank, choosing good handling cars, learning the shortest routes, hitting nitro just before jumping a ramp to get the extra speed, and of course..knocking down other players to take their position.

I only made it to gold league 2100s, it's all GSs and occasional other cars, every lobby has at least 4 GSs

As a free to play casual, Asphalt MP was literally a living NIGHTMARE for me in these couple months, I understand that people up top are struggling with slow matchmaking, beause I also experience this when I’m trying to rush to higher leagues at the start of a season, but matching lower league players and completely frying them via league mixing should not be the solution to this problem. It is a TORTURE to get destroyed by cars one or sometimes two classes above the car I’m using, if knockdowns in classic wasn’t painful enough. Moving on to Asphalt Unite, things have gotten worse somehow, because the thing I have been excited about the most was the rank based matchmaking, but Gameloft did not imply that I guess and that ended up with me facing three Venoms in one race in Platinum II, in a Lykan… This is just complete utter chaos, and I don’t know if Gameloft is finding this funny, or if they are thinking 1000 rank difference is not enough to split the matchmaking but I can tell you it is not funny at ALL, and I feel the need for developers to fix this on top priority. If I start mentioning the knockdowns and body fights there is going to be a 10 page long complaint so I’ll end it here XD but PLEASE fix the matchmaking system seriously I cannot emphasize it more

well, I have mixed opinions about the MP system, I have been stuck in Silver I for 2 days, going up and down between 1730 and 1780, the rewards are however too good (especially the triumph rewards of x10 packs). Most of the high ranked cars i have in these options have trash handling (F12TDF and P1 maxed), Tuscany and Auckland is a living hell for these type of cars, and whenever i use good handling cars like h2, I get topspeed oriented tracks like scotland and himalayas, atleast this system brings back use of obsolete cars such as centenario, f12tdf, gtr, etc. But the thing i agree with u is that going up leagues is PAINFUL. EVEN IN SILVER. I just need to reach Gold IV and the rest should be easy

Just got into Gold IV. I don’t know why, but I’ve always had that problem in MP. Even before was much worse in Legeends, when you’re playing and almost advancing from Silver to Gold, the game always matches you with players from Gold, making it so hard to get into the Golden league because they have much superior cars. For me, it’s much easier and more fun now, and yeah, I have to admit there are many more knockdowns. And now rewards are much, much better. It would be nice if they changed the BP every season or at least every other season. I used a Lambo STO from Silver III and played with it all the way to Gold. But yeah, there’s a lot of room for improvement

One good thing about this multiplayer is more variety of cars which we did not use before and one bad thing is there are not many cars to use in mp1 like the cars which are in this seasons platinum league are not possesed by many f2p players and for first time I am seeing that even aliens are not able to reach legend league easily And seriously they should remove this shitty classic season or bring unbreakable season it would be far better

After looking at the current state of Asphalt unite, this game has no hope, especially multiplayer that has become a disaster ever since cross play was introduced, it was so competitive earlier on windows platform alone

People getting knocked by being touched is absurd. Only times we should be knocked are when we do a spin, hit a wall hard enough, or when we dont fully complete a barrel roll

Players with horrible connections, endless divebombs in corners, random knockouts from people with horrendous connection, 360 spammers, etc. Multiplayer could not get any worse.

I miss asphalt 8 style multiplayer where cars could be from different ranks/classes but they'd make sure all the cars in a given race have the exact same rating so it was more a multiplayer about skill than luck I don't know why the changed the formula when it came to asphalt 9

tbh the devs can add a feature where the system will try and match you against different cars but in the same tier, and maybe also prevent you from losing points if you get matched against a superior league player if they don't remove league mixing anyways. They are either lazy or just hasn't thought of that

Thank goodness I am still on A9 on the Switch, but the inevitable will come since they will soon be releasing it to Switch. The real worst part is the mp system, even on the old A9. A8 has better system since it gives you 2 seasons. A world series where your rank is used to match you and the other one that matches you based on car rank. In A9, I can only touch gold rank on a maxxed out E-Tense and can’t go up because of the p2w matchmaking. At least I can reach gold as a f2p. I hope GL changes the system to a more fair game experience, especially for f2p. That aside, I have one question before unite releases on the Switch, does Unite still have cards?

Gameloft should add car armor for multiplayer, so cars have a threshold of how many hits they can take before blowing up to pieces. THIS WOULD MAKE MULTIPLAYER 10X TOLERABLE AS THE KNOCKDOWNS I'VE BEEN GETTING ARE PRETTY BS.

I will not get past platinum 4 because i dont have a single car to play, my 3 star victor cant go anywhere. Getting to platinum 4 was lucky enough itself considering how much i grided to get past gold league.
