***** Of course, as you likely well know, anyone can create a screen name, so 99.9% of those claiming to be Donald Trump are not really Donald Trump. Even Hillary made that mistake when quoting a comment not actually made by Trump himself. However, in this case, we may have the real Trump - or his clone.
Dave - I live in N.H. I have had a couple professionals seal coat my driveway before. None of them come even close to the detail, thoroughness, and professionalism you demonstrate. I now do my own seal coating, which is a bit of a pain but satisfying when it is done. I have an old driveway so I am trying to maintain it as long as I can before replacing it. I wish your company was closer to me. :)
"the best on the planet" that covers a lot of ground dave. spraying along with cutting in by hand provides noticedable difference in texture for one and u can not beat a seal job done by hand with an experienced applicator. just a fact speaking as a 45 year 3rd generation veteran of paving and sealing. not nocking u down just speaking from experience.
You’re right Arthur wells I used to work for an asphalt company and we use to use the squegee by hando and on the rest the buggy machine, and after that we applied another coat with the spryer, but honestly Dave looks like a nice person to work with.
Sealing by hand has and all ways will be my go to, whether it’s 10 sq meters or 1000 sq meters. Nice even coating throughout. No excess seal. Plus it’s satisfying knowing you’ve done everything from making the seal to applying it all by hand.
I just started blacktop work 2 days ago, I already know as much or more as some of the other guysthat have been there for months! All from watching videos on youtube =) Thanks man
it funny how he is constantly talking about why he is better than everyone else while having another video telling us why no one should get into this business. what a business model.
No way you can be world's number one sealing company by spraying one coat over a "never sealed" drive way. There's SO many pores to fill. A job WELL DONE and get a cx WELL satisfied for what they pay for for, there's nothing better that a brush finish
I Have a Sealcoat company in NNJ few guys take the time to do Prep. Most would just blow. I powerwash many too. The cleaner the longer it lasts. Only difference is i would brush 2 coats. Mine last 2-3 yrs min.Hes still good.
I just had my driveway asphalt seal coated by a local outfit. They blew a gasket on their tank and dumped 20-30 gallons of seal coat on the cement apron at the base near the street next to the street. They didn't come back to clean for several days during ~ 85 degree summer heat. Then they said that they did the best they could but the handle on their power washer broke. I hired a professional remediation company ServPro - they were successful cleaning the cement apron 99%+ , however, their cost was seven times the cost of the original seal coating job. ServPro used high temperature steam jet with degreaser mixed in. What can I do about the mess in the street, you can't use high temperature jet and degreaser on asphalt.
Thats just what I would do open the asphalt with Hot water and push more water in it help that erosion as much as possibile . I THINK THIS GUY IS FULL OF HIMSELF BUT HAY!! ITS ALL ABOUT GETTING THE JOB RIGHT !
42 years ago no one heard of seal coating black top .let alone what a crack kettle was ..back then we used hot CRS2 AND sand for crack filling it set up good hot but cold stayed tackey . We had no sealer like half the shit they call sealer to day .. we used CSS1H and cut it 50/50 or Roofing emulsion .it worked fine did what it was meant to do ..
First crack kettle 37 years ago a Buddy and I was working together and we found a 50 gallon Hot kettle for roofing cleaned it out did alot or repairs to it . We had a retred Plant in town and got the ground rubber and blended it with CRS2 .. 40% rubber a 60% crs2 its worked so well so we went that rout .
Good video. The driveway looks nice. The prep was excellent. I have had my driveway sprayed. I have also had the sealer brushed/squeegeed on. I have found the later application to be much better than just spraying the sealer. When brushed on, it gets into the small fissures much better. I had mine sprayed a couple months ago and had to re-apply sealer to my entire driveway using a brush and squeegee.
Best sealcoater on the planet and he doesn’t even crackfill between concrete and asphalt? Doesn’t even look like he gets all the way to the concrete with the sealer either lmfao
I work with Ash-Con out of sterling heights we do several million sq ft per year of sealcoat and about 1 million linear ft in a season. Down to 7 guys in the field myself included but we still manage to lay that material down. I mainly do hot rubber and mastic but i sealcoat a couple times a week. Interesting that you powerwashed the driveway. We scrub them with wire brushes and use the same billy goat blower. Sometimes we'll sandblast. I've got 54 driveways to do by hand tomorrow out in Brighton, 5 minute driveways I call them and they come out clean and well coated.
