Mine didn’t have a smooth zipper when I got it either, so I rubbed wax paper on the zipper. Now it runs like butter! I love the detail of the blind initial stamping! I never thought about the blind stamping! And you will see - it will fit more than you will think! And I feel the same way - I like the ones with the “A”. I don’t like the plain one. Omg on the wear! I am going to check my bags! I’m touching wood - especially my Camera bag, I have work a ton (like really all the time) and I don’t see any. But I will be keeping my eye out on that. 😢 I would say yes, contact their customer service. For sure.
