They should arrest thier parents also n awareness campaigns must be given to citizens simply arresting won't affect or change anything they will come out in bail ....If the government really care about the children below 18 they must give some facilities like if they complete thier high schools they will get something then parents will also think otherwise government is just diverting the issues n the law is already thier if someone marriage below 18 nothing is new

Actually many people in rural areas are not aware of this that child marriage is crime. Many child marriages are taking place in west bengal as well. The government should make an awareness campaign to prohibited child marriages.

It's good that the government is doing something, but rather than arresting the married men they should focus on preventing the present child marriage, not arresting the people who are already married.

Great Step by Assam Govt, But I think those who've Already done it should be Forgiven, from now onwards, if anyone is Found Appreciating such practices should be Arrested....

In assam approx 3000 men are arrested for child marriage under 'Pocso act'( says any person marrying women before the age of 14 he would be arrested under pocso act) and also men arrested under 'child marriage act 2006' ( any men marrying women under the age of 18 will be child marriage) Now in India folks are sentimentally attached to there religion they keep there personal religion law before any law( shariya law in muslims says if the girl 'd attended puberty which happens at the age of 14-15 they have right to marry and men are following the same but now are arrested under those both above stated acts) even Rajasthan and haryana high court aligned and said they can follow there personal law before anything. Now the problem lies in education, it's studied that if the family/child is well erudite the less are the chances of child marriage ( ex- take the example of mena community in Rajasthan they are reserved section of people but well educated with having family members in army, poilice, bureaucracy etc) but they are having less ratio of child marriage so, no doubt education is the issue but again diving deep into the insights the real problem lies in 'poverty' as family is poor they can't afford education so therefore we gotta eradicate poverty first ( Those who've read my full answer kindly , give feedback was I correct and what more I should add) Thank you✨💛🙂
