I'm from Ranchi but I've lived in NORTH-EAST because of my dad's postings. This might offend u but believe me guys they are more cultured and educated than mostly the rest of us. They believe in simplicity, no showoff and exaggeration....... very less cases of crime against women as compared to other regions ...❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yes they are saying true. I belong to Bihar and there is so much discrimination here on the basis of caste, colour, gender etc and we should accept this truth. I also lived in Arunachal for almost 8 years and noticed that the people of north eastern states are so much humble and lovable. We should respect their culture and learn many things from them. Respect for them❤️🙏

When we speak Hindi, they tease us.. but they cant even speak English properly while we can communicate in 3 languages (Native + Hindi + English). North Indians generally have very bad Attitude towards others. It needs to change. They want others to be like them and not the opposite

Sad to say that Casteim is deeply entrenched into the bloods of everyone in India.. One more interesting thing to discover here.. See the people in North East states are aboriginals and there is extremely Less amount of caste discrimination in these tribes in compared to its relevance in other parts of India... If it exists by any means ,I strongly condemn the same and ain't support the caste discrimination and caste atrocities by any means... Jai Bharat 🙏

Casteism too is not strictly followed here.... I am a lady of general caste and my hubby is an OBC and my bro in law is a Scheduled caste guy....and we were married With the full consent of our families...no dramas...no hue and cry...just a normal wedding...and this type of marriages are very common in our Assamese societies

मैं उत्तर प्रदेश से हूं, मैं एक आदिवासी हूं और हमारे संस्कृति में लड़के वाले कपड़े और कुछ अनाज लड़की के घर भेजते हैं। दहेज मांगने की प्रथा नहीं है और लड़के वाले लड़की के घर लड़की से शादी का प्रपोजल भेजते हैं। छत्तीसगढ़ और मध्यप्रदेश में भी आदिवासियो में यही परंपरा है ।

@@besmart5517 You are mistakenly relating Dowry with casteism. Dowry relates with materialism. There are certain Sections in society in which people are/were more materialistic than others. It is very evident that आदि वासी are less materialistic than any mainstream community. Morever in one way or other marriage ceremonies are almost similar in entire India. But with little variation. In one comment a person said that in tribal society of UP Boys side send clothes & grains to girls family. In baniya community boys family send jewelry & clothes. In Jat/Yadav/Brahmans/Gurjars community boys family send token Jewellery, clothes and some symbolic items. Those who can't afford gold send Silver Jewelry

I am from Assam . N in north east there is few cult who believe in passing property from women to women . Women is the head of the family. N what they said is correct. Even in Muslim family in assam this culture is followed. Larka log stuffs lekr atey hai. Cloth, footwear, jewelery, mehandi, even now fix make up artist. At least two day function. One day they provide stuff one day girl family manage the whole ceremony. Or both bride n groom collect a sum. N buy stuffs for both the occasion. I am proud of Assamese culture.

I have lived in nagaland for 2 years and feel that Girl child is safe and celebrated in North East. Otherwise in our north india and especially uttar pradesh where supposedly Ram Rajya is going on girls are most vulnerable .

Always a proud Northeastern! I have been to varies other states of the country due to my father's posting and many a times I used to face shocking questions like "North East kaha he?", "Visa lagta he kya?"😲😲etc, etc. C'mon guys we love the same food you eat, we love the same dresses you wear. We're not alien and don't want to be treated like one! Very upset to see few comments. If you have any confusion, please refer to our country's Map. Doubts will be cleared.

If somebody is discriminating or insulting NE people .... u don’t need to defend , mainland Indians will be there to reprimand them and protect u .... u just enjoy and chill ..... how much India is ours more than that is yours so onus is on u as well .... spread ur arms, in fact I would say from u must be PM of India one day
