I am really proud of this nation now finally India is matured enough to understand & cherish cuisines of its east side like Assam, Odisha, Bihar chhattisgarh, jharkhand.. Beautiful dishes are at that side, they just don't propagate
Would like to add few lines, which I feel are important & you must tell during presentation of such traditional dishes, that “this is only representation of the traditional dish”, kind of disclaimer to avoid controversy. Because, when I go through the comments, there are few comments from few respected elderly Assamese viewers, claiming that this is not the authentic way of cooking the “Masor Tenga” dish, which we all can’t disagree and disrespect.
Really really love this video. I am from Assam.. this is the most testy fish dishes of Assam. Thanks for promoting Assamese dishes and Assamese Culture ❤
It's so amazing🤩🤩. I'm also from assam.. And we Assamese people only knows the emotion of "masor tenga"... Please try some other Assamese dishes too.. ❤
Assam is my place of birth...my dad is from Kolkata and my mum from Shillong....so it's apt...the union of two capitals united in Guwahati..the capital in between 🎉
Thanks a lot Ranveer ji for talking about and showing an Assamese dish. You have mentioned about Outenga as a option to make Masor tenga..Another tasty and highly and widely appreciated option for the same is Thekera tenga (Garcinia). It is mostly used in dried form. If you have not tried yet, I welcome you to try it.

I am a guy who was born in Assam and have spent 23 years in here. The Assamese food in real doesn't taste good, in real it's tastes quite bland in comparison to other cultures. They don't event have the practice of flavour balancing and their technique is more tribal one. The good thing is the food are quite light.
I'm belongs to West Bengal but I spent 14 year in Assam. Lovely place and wonderful people. Never forget Bhogali bihu. Lots of love to all my dear brothers and sisters belongs to Assam.
@@alockbora Bhaiti, moi bongaigaon achilu, 2005 pora 2018 loi ke. Mor home state west Bengal. Tetia moi Assam bohotee valpao. Love you all my dear brothers and sisters belongs to Assam. ❤
Finally kisi ne assam ke khaane ko importance diya. Kitne saalon se yehi chiz dekhne ke liye ruke hue the. Thank you chef. Bas bolna chahunga ki Fish ko agar half fry karke daale to jyada taste milta hai. Usually hum yeh karte hai, aur red chilli powder to bilkul bhi nehi jaati. Jitna simple tareeke se ise pakayenge utni hi uska taste hai. Humari har dish ke pakane ka tareeka bilkul hi simple si hoti hai par taste me utni hi mazedaar hai 🤗🤗
My husband has travel n doing job in many places in India n abroad, but he always tell the real food n tastes are found in Assam. The food that is tasty n rich in nutrients too❤❤❤
Hahaha issh go to sonapur side near guwahati they will not give you the menu and they won't even cook well and mutton thali cost u 510 😂😂 what the heck it happens only in Assam or how 😂.. but of all no bad feelings for Assamese I love them all , i only wish Govt should look into it and check the pricing in the highway dhabas ...
Without "masor tenga" assamese people never concentrate to any other fish curry, It Feels like home❤ and also you are the favourite chef since many years.
It's really beautiful to see when a non Assamese chef present an Assamese dish with so much of love and enthusiasm... Thankyou chef for preparing this dish and giving so much of information about our culture... Love and respect chef...🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👍👍💐
Masor Tenga is a cult dish of Assam and its taste is incomplete without loving touch of an Assamese mother. Every person living outside Assam misses this dish made by his or her mother. Thank you Ranveer for promoting it....love from Assam
Love to see you cooking our Masor Tenga ❤️ Awesome 😊 You know chef, Authentically When we cook at home, we just add only 1 tbs of oil to the gravy, only Methi seed or mustard seed, No red chilli powder, No dry red chilli, only one kind of sour( tomatoes only or Outenga only or lime or lemon only, Thekera only ) and if the fish is from fresh water, we don’t even fry it. Potatoes also we don’t fry.
Assamese recipes are an emotion of Assamese people. Assamese dishes like masor tenga, ash gourd with duck, local chicken with black lentils, and various types of *pitika* are so delicious. Assamese cuisine is rich in taste and nutrients. Love from assam. ❤
