Nick Yeah, say what you want about Ubisoft, but they're real artists when it comes to making trailers. The music choice, visuals and editing are all top notch.
In case you history buffs wanted to know the monument names, here you go 00:03 Bent Pyramid of Dashur, first "pyramid" built c. 2,600 BC. The initial incline was too steep so they had to change the angle halfway through construction. Pharaoh Dashur was alive when the construction was completed, so he had the Red Pyramid built, which was a smaller version of the Great Pyramids we know today. 00:11 (Columns at bottom right) Hypostyle Hall built in the 13th century BC. This building was made completely of large columns holding up slabs. The entire complex was dark with the exception of the center aisle. It represented reeds in a marsh from the earlier days of the Kingdom. 00:11 (large temple) Temple of the god Amun-Re built from 1579-1075 BC. This temple was off limits to everyone but the Pharaoh and the priests who lived there, giving it a very mysterious aura to everyone else. 00:31 While not a monument, it is an interesting fact and I'm happy to see that they added this extra detail. The masked man has a crown with a scarab beetle on it. The god Ra was known to roll the sun through the sky, while transforming souls. The scarab represented Ra in the sense that it rolled around a ball of dung, and its larvae would hatch from within it, signifying a cycle of life. Because of their connection to Ra, they are often portrayed as carrying the sun, which was usually represented by a red gem or stone. 01:10 The Great Pyramid of Khufu built in 2528 BC. This was the second (after the Red Pyramid) and largest pyramid to built. Unlike it is seen today, the Great pyramids would have been coated with polished white stones, and a golden tip. Another bit of detail the creators put is was the surrounding areas. The small rectangle houses, smaller pyramids, and entrance are all accurate according to archaeological finds. Contrary to popular belief, the pyramids were most likely built by citizens as a tax of sorts, as opposed to slave labor. This is the last of the 7 ancient wonders still in existence. 01:16 The pyramid of Khafre built in 2494 BC (middle) and pyramid of Menkaure 2472 BC (left) being constructed. The reason these two are smaller was because the Egypt was fighting wars and did not want to throw as much money and resources towards them as they did with the pyramid of Khufu. 01:33 The Lighthouse of Alexandria built in 247 BC. This was the tallest structure in the world during its completion, but was destroyed after a series of earthquakes in the 14th century AD. Again, the way it is portrayed in the cinematic is highly accurate. 01:36 The Library of Alexandria (I think) built in the 3rd century BC. It contained tens or hundred of thousands of ancient texts, many of which were only copies. over the next 400 years or so, a series of fires completely destroyed most of the texts within the library, and has come to represent an irreparable loss of ancient knowledge and wisdom. The largest fire was said to have started when Caesar set his fleet on fire during his siege of Alexandria, which spread to nearby houses, and eventually the library. If I made any mistakes, please correct me in the comments! Hope you history buffs enjoy this info as much as I enjoyed researching it!
The scarab beetle you mentioned was not simply representation of Ra, but symbol of Khepri, the very ancient god of rising sun. Khepri and Horakhty (as Ra-Horakhte - Ra, who is a Horus of Two Horizons) were two of 72 representations of Ra :)
Sorry for the confusion. The stepped pyramid, while called a pyramid, isnt actually geometrically so. Before this was built, pharoahs used to be buried in mastabahs, which were rectangular brick structures on top of an underground tomb. This stepped pyrmaid is simply several mastabahs stacked on on top of the other. Thanks for your reply!
bayek is up there with Ezio as one of the best protagonist, even tho this is a revenge story most of the time, he still find time to get drunk and have some fun
I recently played through the Ezio collection, Unity & then tried Origins and omfg is Bayek & Aya's story one hell of an experience to go through, if only Ubisoft actually understood why Origins and Odyssey were successful and was capable of recreating that..
I love how this trailer shows that bayek isn’t freaking invincible he doesn’t believe in so much stealth he can’t just counter or parry attacks he is human
Wasn’t expecting to see Cleopatra make an appearance in the game. If she’s in the game, then that men’s Julius Ceaser would be appearing as well! This game has piqued my interest once again.
THATguy 22 Oh yeah! He is in the trailer! I didn’t even notice him at first. He was shrouded in shadow in the middle of the trailer, I didn’t even recognize him at first.
Jack Jazzdeathform Ezio would've destroyed all of them if his hidden blade didn't break, the only real reason Ubisoft made break was so that the Turkish Assassins could give him the hook blade.
*My favorite part of this is that Bayek isn't some Master Assassin like previous iterations.* He still gets the job done, but is clumsy compared to his more modern counterparts. That's how it should be. He's the first Assassin. Or the first that unites them. Either way, he shouldn't be wiping the floor with them. He struggled but he still won. Perfect.
Actually, I'm sad that Bayek has such a basic hairstyle. Shoulder-length hair with lots of jewelry/decoration in it would be something I'd absolutely love. Considering how much the game is inspired by Witcher 3, maybe we get a DLC to change hair :p
I think the Hunting Monsters trailer is made by another company. Digic Pictures only made the launch cinematic with the vampire girl. But yes, all of them is awesome.
I like how they conveyed the Assassin as being vulnerable in this CG trailer in comparison to the others where they appear almost superhuman. Possibly mirroring the approach that this game is taking as well as how the Assassin's order is in it's very early stages of becoming more developed?
What is shown in this trailer is still superhuman. But yeah, they seem to want to represent the gameplay, and since combat has been made harder in-game, they had to show that here too.
i think bayek seems just as super human as the others. taking down an entire squad with a spear(and bow).. id like to see anyone else do that and live :)
Yes it is still 'superhuman' but he almost dies as a result like he's knocked to the ground and injured where in the other trailers we have seen the Assassin's run and jump off of tremendous heights and take down multiple people with ease.
Ros Cleere I think it's supposed to show that since there is no formal Assassin order yet Bayek and his methods are very unrefined as he's only just pioneering all this stuff. The other Assassin's had traditions and thorough formal training with thousands of years of accrued knowledge given to them meanwhile Bayek only just now figuring things out. The order gets more refined and strong as time goes on which is cool to see.
At least, for the first time in assassin's creed trailer it is shown, that you're not going off from every battle like Rambo. Without any scratch. I think it's good that finally someone show it.
@@memecliparchives2254 Ezio in Revelations was already a veteran assassin. It didn't surprise me that he fought an entire army seamlessly until getting disarmed.
Showing a super cool fight scene without revealing any character personalities or plots makes it a shitty trailer. Don't get me wrong, AC Revelations, AC3, and AC Unity's trailers were sick, but they didn't show any plots behind anything. This trailer actually feels like it has depth
1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times x 3m9s = almost 6 years. This video wasn't out for even a day when you wrote your comment. Moreover, it didn't even have 400K views yet. You, sir, are a liar.
Words can't describe how I feel when playing this game. This is by far one of the best assassin's Creed games I've ever played and probably one of the best games ever. I applaud at Ubisoft for making such a beautiful game.
You are missing out. You won't understand the series completely if you start from a later game. Start from the first then go from there. You wouldn't regret it if you're into a good plot.
*Buys Assassin's Creed Origins and calls at school* Me: Hello, I won't be able to come tommorow due to a medical condition Head teacher: You bought Assassin's Creed Origins didn't you? Me: Uhhhhh Head teacher: I won't be coming either, I got it too.
Dec 2019: I just turned 61 yrs old. I don't get sick often. Sooo; Skyrim, AC, Fallout and a dozen other game premiers were 'sick days' for me also. Just letting you all know: time does NOT change things for true believers.
In the beginning of the trailer, i think the blue man was at the earlier time in Egypt. As the trailer went on he was close with multiple Pharaohs/Rulers over time, probably an early Templar . Then near the end of the trailer Beyak was executing an assassination attempt, but as he was finished with the guards the blue man escaped. The arrow should've killed on his chair! Unless he was using a Piece of Eden to survive any encounters and grants immortality. Let's hope my theory was correct.
For anyone who doesn’t know, the singer is Leonard Cohen, probably one of the most legendary artist up there with Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley. He wrote the song Hallelujah which you might have heard from the Watchmen film.
I used to think I was a fan, but after that I do not know anymore, because I always loved what I used to be and I know I'm going to love what's going to be
The movie didn't suck, you people just fail to realize that Assassin's Creed in ANY Movie form doesn't work. The movie was literally Assassin's Creed all the way, the only thing they did was mess with how one of The Apples worked.
Star Platinum Not really. The Scorpion is supposed to be a symbol Serket, the patron and protector of Pharaohs especially from Apep (the giant snake). It's also a metaphor for Old Egypt and ants are the Ptolemaic Dynasty. When Cleopatra brushed the scorpion off the map and put Caesar in it's place it hints at her demise by Amunet who used a snake.
what is play4. we have Xbox, Nintendo and Playstation. but play4. lol that is excactly how a child would react. maybe you need to comeback to to the real world. Microsoft are dicks. they destroy companies.
No can do, Brutus didn't have any known blood descendants. Plus, he committed suicide in 42 BC. The only assassin-y thing he did was kill Caesar, he then sacked a few cities along with Cassius, hunted down Theodotus of Chios in was defeated by Octavian and Antony, before taking his own life. We could play as one of the assassins that aided him and attempted to bring him back to life using the Shroud, perhaps Bayek or Amunet.
You don't have to pre-order to get the bonuses. Ubisoft always releases the pre-order bonuses later as DLC. That's what I love about them. While some companies never bother to re-release the bonuses for those who missed them, Ubisoft always does.
Welll actually in ancient Egypt there was this ritual at birth where important or wealthy people (I. e. usually kings and such) where they would do something so that they never grew hair on the head in their lifetime. disclaimer: I'm no historian, I might be wrong, don't go roasting.

A masterpiece, they've even edited the whole video to match the lyrics of the background song. The best AC trailer ever, even Hollywood movies' trailers ain't like this. Kudos to AC team.
Did no one acknowledge the fact that he shot his bow........ with his FEET. 10/10 brilliant trailer. Good song and it shows some key historical figures
