I'm an archaeologist and a historian. I just started this game franchise a couple of weeks ago. As someone who studies the past for a living, I will say I am impressed with the amount of detail that went into reconstructing Roma and I definitely had fun parkouring around the Colosseum. But I also felt that I was going to get arrested or at least yelled at by one of the employees for doing so lol.
@@strider2713same. Im in love with Italian history (though also very brutal at times) and architecture because of AC. I want to visit Italy and just marvel at everything
Hey man, can I ask you a question? How is life as an archaeologist? I've been wondering a lot about going for it as a main career, just looking for some honest feedback i guess
Facts. Nothing ever came close to AC2 Brotherhood or Revelations. Revelations was great but AC2 and Brotherhood were such memorable experiences because of the returning characters between the two games and the height of Ezio’s journey. Unity tried earnestly but failed quite miserably. No other game for me comes close to what AC2 and brotherhood achieved in terms of the powerful music, impeccable storyline and protagonist, and the general atmosphere of the games.
This is triggers a certain emotion that tends to make me feel emotional and I'm not in any way shape or form a emotional person but something about this talks with your soul. Struggling to explain.
Some call what you're talking about 'emotional content'. Like, the purest form of it. Before it becomes sorrow or joy or anger or anything in between. I call it Quiet, but that's just me.
@@gamingninja33 @Wellsie I'd say it isn't a emotion, but more of a state. A bit at last. Speaking for myself, the song (and the memories of a bygone past) are putting me into an Equilibrium. Or Tranquility. Peace.
The ambience of AC2 and Brotherhood are absolutely amazing, it makes me really sad we probably won’t get another experience as close to this as Assassins Creed gave us a long time ago, anyone still worshipping these games with me for the memories they gave us?! (no pun intended)
Been to Rome last week and I was blown away by the details. It was just like I was in the game. I went to the Pantheon and Colosseum and castel sant Angelo and many other buildings. I felt at home 😄 it was beautiful! I realy recommend it to any Assassins creed fan! I had the music of the game with me as I was there and it felt like a dream. I was Ezio! 😀 such a nice experience!
yo dude, I was just in Rome 2 months ago. i literally had the exact same experience. id have to say as someone who's heavily into to roman history and history in general and as someone who is of italian descent, the piazza del colosseo was my favourite. ive always wanted to see a colosseum and while i was in the middle of it soaking in the sights, i listened to this theme. it was magical.
At the moment, I'm travelling on a bus on a night tour in summer and driving through the various sights of Rome's ancient history while listening to this soundtrack. A magical moment! ❤
I can't believe it, I was looking in extended version because 1 hr ago I finish the game again, after 6-7 Years No puedo creerlo, estaba buscando esto hace una hora porque termine el juego nuevamente, después de 6-7 años de haberlo jugado.
My favorite type of missions in the Assassin's Creed series were the secret locations in the Ezio trilogy. They are the ones where you do puzzles and platforming until you find treasures and armor. It's a shame they never added them to later games. I am currently playing Ghost of Tsushima and it has something kinda similar to those, but they are way shorter and simpler. They're the shrines missions.
Well, in black flag there were a few comparable missions, but i get what you mean. The setting of doing platforming inside the recreation of an ancient city that existed for generations after generations is something that has not happened ever since the ezio trilogy indeed.
@@13thmistral I don't really remember, but I remember AC Rogue had 1 mission in a Portuguese church. It was similar to the ones in Ezio trilogy if I am not mistaken.
I was going to pick my cousin up from school with my dad and I decided to play this as I was waiting at the bus station the beginning filled me up with a bit of hate and regret and then as I started to hear the Echoes of the beautiful Angelic voice I remembered the good times I had in this summer of 2021 playing Assassin's creed and even listening to some tracks while I was running to the gym and the sun was blazing hot at me and I was having a good time with my friends and occasionally all by myself and I had memories of the old boxing gym I always used to run to everytime back in summer and I got kicked out this month because the coach was a greedy cash grabbing piece of shit but that doesn't matter the thing is when I remembered how i've lived my life back in summer and got reminded of how i'm still in my prime years (15 years old) and how I have an entire life around me and yet I felt like i've lost everything in life , how i lost my purpose and I became a defeated man it just hit me in the feels and I started crying but my dad was in front of me and I didn't want to continue crying but I couldn't stop it and eventually my dad asked me why I was sobbing and I just said "sometimes I release my energy out of nowhere" and he just asked me "you do that?!" and I was like "yeah" and then after 2 or 4 days I believe I put this track again and I started to cry even harder than before I am doing a lot better now because I got it all figured out now and I am currently at a fitness gym building myself up for summer
Assassin's Creed is one of few game franchises I wish I could play with no prior knowledge of them, just so I can experience the magic they gave to me the first time.
Cool! I'm going to Rome on april 17th. I will be bringing the map of Brotherhood with me along with the music from the game so I can listen to it when visiting many places I climbed in the game 😄 I will be staying in hotel Flavia 🙂
@@sdfrag I envy you and your history, really! You are lucky! I'm kazakh, and my history is just about nomads, they have no so interesting history. Bless you God.
@@sdfrag I think that "nobody is greater than others" is modern misconception bullshit, you have to tribute some countries more than others. Not trying to offend anybody though.
@VainCape hi I don't believe that is the meaning. I studied medieval studies for several years. The meaning would be closer to: a holy age reigns; return to the holy spirit (or the holy spirit returns). Hope it helpes and greetings!
I finished Brotherhood couple of months ago and oh man the end and everything it's quite annoying the death of Lucy but when we talk about soundtrack and the emotion of these magnificent voices you just have to enjoy these awesome game I can't wait to play the final and the third part of azeo auditory story
Yo what da Heck? Since when is there f*cking advertisment in this video? Wth?! I miss the good old days without advertisment on RU-vid! Kids today dont even know how different times were.. like if you were born after 2000 you are born in a hole different world!
Aetas sancto aetas nam regna Aetas sancto aetas nam regna Recessus animae sancta Recessus animae sancta This is what I found for lyrics, did a little bit of research on it, found nothing really legit. In literal translation, it means: "Holy age time for the kingdom Holy age time for the kingdom Disgusted holy Disgusted holy" I believe they might be made-up lines, in the sense that it is a sequence of existing words but they can be ungrammatical or there can be a lack of cohesion between the words. In this format, these are a bunch of words in a language that exist, but in real life, native speakers wouldn't say these things the way it is being said here. In the philosophical approach, it is similar to Cristoph Waltz's Italian monologue in Inglourious Basterds.
@@JBman961 thanks. i was hoping for something more deeper, in a literal sense, from the translation. So I suppose it is up to the listener to assign some subjective meaning to the chanting, based on how it 'feels'
There is another interpretation of the lyrics in the net: "Aetas sancto Rome, aetas nam regna. Aetas sancto Rome, aetas nam regna. Resus omnia licita. Resus omnia licita." Hard to translate, it could be something like: "Life-time (alive) of the Holy Roman Empire, life-time (alive) of the kingdom. Everyone is allowed to smile (here)". Or: "Everything is allowed (with a smile)." Not 100% sure, but the sounds fit better to these lyrics.
