For what it is, being a game developed by a smaller studio and has to build on Valhalla's mechanics, Mirage is basically what I expected. Nothing groundbreaking but servicable if you want a good time. Not as back to basics as everyone expected (ppl expecting Unity 2.0 when Mirage started off as a Valhalla DLC) but a step at the right direction. And being a prequel to Valhalla, everyone should have known where the story will go anyway. The lower price says it all. With Ubisoft, I'm surprised they didn't charge the standard AAA price, let alone the higher price for current gen consoles.

AC Mirage's replayability for the next 2-3 years will be 🔥 when new game+ is added later. You can chill n hv good time reminiscing the 1st time you completed it while finishing the game in 2-3 days.

At this point, even if there are similar assassination animations and etc, it's been far too long since we've been given an assassin game like this (8 years later) So it sorta feels new to me. So glad we are back to this style. Loved origins/odyssey, but loved AC 1 better!

I'm honestly loving this game. Baghdad is such a beautiful city to explore and I enjoy the core gameplay loop of this game more than Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. Even if it can be a bit repetitive and I wish there was more to it, it's a great time.

Against my better judgment I bought the game, keep in mind I hate the rpg games and Ubisoft in general these days. Im actually enjoying this alot. The complaints I heard and the flaws I’ve seen don’t bother me. I actually like the combat which I thought I would hate for example. The two things I will say is the in game cutscenes (if that’s what you call it, the cutscenes that go straight to gameplay with no black screen) are pretty terrible. Secondly the pacing is a bit odd, as in the story progressed kind of weird from thief to assassin. P.S. play it in Arabic with subtitles, sounds amazing.

My only complaint is that the Poison Cloud could only be triggered after a melee kill. I love wreaking havoc on crowded areas with poison from a distance..

@@assassinscreedislife7636mmmm idk it does seem closer to origins Valhalla was just weird like it was cool but I didn’t feel anything old and sparkly origins stealth play felt more nostalgic than Valhalla with avor i felt like i had roid rage and didn’t need to sneak anywhere cause i was just a machine of devastation like ya it had some “black box” missions but i still always felt like time to be an anabolic assassin, sneaking? Pfft the only thing i sneak is a few extra shots of the juice before i analy wreck this camp or fortress lol

@@Imperial-simp_destroyer If you actually put some more thought into it than what you clearly did, then it’s pretty obvious just how many old school mechanics are there for Eivor to use. Sure she’s a bad ass and can hold her own on a battlefield, but Sneaking and stealth is quite viable if you care to use it. Most people just bitch about it and claim it’s impossible though, and those people should honestly just play God of War or something else where they dont have to use their brain.

They aren’t replayable. So save beforehand if you fail the optional objective (if you want to complete it)

Overall I liked it, it was fun. However, with that said, to me it feels like the devs were super lazy. The lack of customization (only 9 outfits---and only found 4 including the Forty Thieves outfit, not being able to dye every outfit the color of dyes you acquire, the robes not changing when you get promoted through the Creed ranks, the armor never changing from upgrades or promotions, the medallions only being cosmetic when it sounded like they added stats (but don't), the ending was confusing, no double assassinations (you can only chain assassinate), there's no health regen even out of combat, the non-city areas seemed hollow, and more I'm probably forgetting. As I said though, overall I enjoyed the story and gameplay, but just seems like they were super lazy.

Just finished the platinum, overall exactly what I expect from an AC game, fun stabbing and beautifully recreated historical world. Biggest drawback was that the parkour was just a little bit buggy sometimes: getting stuck on certain objects, not going where you want Basim to go.?

3 things I’d improve on: 1. Since you can’t see the yellow and red highlights on enemies when they’re fully glowing red for a period of time after using Eagle Vision, I think they should add a skill on Predator or something that allows you to see them. It would make combat so much easier. 2. TRANSMOG!! ADD IT!! NOW!! 3. *MORE* *POLE* *VAULTS*

I love it so far, it superceeded all my expectations. It really feels like a remastered AC1 which is brilliant, just with Valhalla combat & parkour. The combat is really tough when the enemies gang up on you, they were right about how difficult it would be, loved that. The Valhalla parkour isn't perfect, but after all these years of RPG AC, neither am I, but it's great to have back. I was totally wrong about the assassin's focus, I actually really like it, & it's a great building tool if they cool to keep it in future games. The pickpocketing is hard, but you get the hang of, it, I love that minigame addition. Great game, feels like AC I've all but forgotten about until now.

I’ll wait to play this as a lot of independent reviewers and mainstream outlets are mixed. I’ll be too busy with Motorsport to jump into this right now. After Valhallas slog of over 75 hours to JUST finish the main campaign and important sidequests I’m too invested not to find out why Basim became who we see in Valhalla. I’m truly hoping modern audiences receive this well. I’m so ready for a smaller game and stealth once again. No more 40 plus enemy encounters and wiping out bunches of them at once😅😅😅

Developers said Mirage was supposed to be Valhalla DLC, but they decided to make it a standalone game. This is basically a DLC with added stuff, thats why the game is so short and thats why its 50 dollars instead of 70.

At the end i was tired of Valhalla so i'm skeptical about this, i see a lot reused things in this game, but at the same time i want to feel that AC old vibe.

Sometimes im online randomly looking for answers, I love everything about this game, like I would complain far less than any reviewer. My one problem though? No endgame content... Its just the story and the contracts but you cant repeat any (I expected contracts to be repeatable) And you'd have to start a new game from scratch, everything from 0 again. Thats my one and only problem with Mirage... Because I love it so much, I enjoy it, I wish the contracts keep refreshing even if its the same just to have a goal instead of running around randomly once you're done.

Im about 6 hours into this game im really enjoying it ive played every assasins creed game. Its a typical assains creed game with different elements. Baghdad looks incredible its a step in the right direction for future ac games.

Very much opinions and personal preference. But having little else to do means you slip into boredom. Doing what the game tells you. Instead of exploring and seeing different areas and travelling.

@@_The_Quiet_Wolf_ yea you're not wrong. That's why I didn't use them as examples for good side quests. Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption 1&2, GTA V, and others did good on side quests. I don't think I can recall one AC side quest that didn't feel like a chore. Or maybe it's been too long since I've played the best ones.

Hey @JorRaptor do they have any thief mask in the game? Like how Origins had the Persian "outfits" that looked like a ninja assassin? In the trailer there is a shot of Basim and Roshan riding through the desert during a sandstorm and they are wearing mask covering their nose and mouth. Is that an option to wear in the game?

My personal take after playing this game is that the parkour, fights gameplay etc is nothing new or ground breaking tbh overall story was good worth it but all in all definitely not 50 euro imo better wait for steam release for regional pricing or wait for sales etc at this point there are too many games especially this year 2023 has been a great year for gaming I was too hyped for this game but turned out to be mediocre especially because back in the days the parkour systems and character story, background music etc were too good for its time but now with so much quality to choose from we often judge a bit too harshly

I played for 3 hours earlier with my fw 9.00 ps4 and it's a great game. No more leveling to beat even just a simple guards. Just tge parkouring is a little clunky but it's okay it is not affecting stealth mode. Will play it again tomorrow after work. 😂😊😊

The game is 69.99$ as opposed to the usual 79.99$ or 89.99$ here in canada for me. Im fine with the reduced 10$ price being 69.99$ for Mirage. I actually expected them to try and charge full 79 or 89.99$ here but they didnt. Im having fun with the game and enjoying it. The story isnt grabbing me much the way i wanted it to. But evreything else feels great. Only negative for gameplay id say for me is the combat. Mostly cause its taking me more time to get used to. But will be better with time and practice. Plus the fact you can re map the controls is a huge bonus. One thing though.. when i saw the overpiced DLC shop it mades me cringe. Yeah its a smaller game like immortals fenyx rising was, so there wont be as much cosmetic stuff. But what little there actually is, is way to overpriced. But ovcourse they are doing it this way cause they know this game wont get much post launch support. So they are raising the dlc prices to make up for that. When i saw it i just groaned and rolled my eyes..🙄😒 What i also cant stand is people overly hating this game for the sake of it. Or a trend. Now ubisoft are gonna see poor sales and reception and claim classic Assassin's creed formula doesn't sell enough so it makes them not wanna do more classic style games. Far too many people jump on the hate wagon and it p*sses me off. The game isnt what we all wanted but its a step forward to a great direction for the series. But haters will unfortunately be the loudest and ubisoft will bend the knee to them instead. I cant stand that sh*t!😒😡

I’m way down for a smaller story driven AC. I think that’s where they really shine. Even if the game doesn’t reach the same heights as ezio trilogy or black flag, I miss the old formula. Odyssey was ok I think but origins and Valhalla didn’t grab me. And I’m a huge viking nerd. But eh

I am really happy actually that they took the road to dye your clothes to changes their look rather than upgrading them and have a cluster fuck of gold parrures on your armors just because it was upgraded. Valhalla armors looked always best, or almost on their first stage imo. I hate the shiny, pristine look of an armour, especially when you are supposed to be stealthy. I think it was a great decision to make it not changes, and it seems like they put more effort to have one good version of an outfit rather than 3 or 4, with weird silver/gold parrure just for the look of one armour being ''upgraded''. I also appreciate, that the weapon dont look too beafy, another one thing I hated in Valhalla. Although, not a fan of combat in Mirage, I understand the choice they made for this specific game. But nothing will beat the viking style of fight/decapitation and music coming with it...
