Skills are SO annoying. *gets new skill point* *sees badass skill* "Shit this is nice" *assign skill to skill wheel* "Aight I'll just swap it with... shit these are all good skills which do i swap"
Darkdraco002 it’s so fun bro.. I love it. Use it all the time.. whenever someone’s a little difficult, just cheese their asses and throw em off a cliff 😂
What you need to do is start killing civilians and get like 2 or 3 bounty hunters on you. Then lead them to the boat and they'll do all the fighting for you.
Get the slow time ability. It's absurdly broken. Coat your weapon with fire/toxin - > Slow time. Now you have a window of 7 seconds to go ham and do dps. The dmg you do in that 7 seconds window will build back more bars than the 1 bar you used for Slow Time, especially with a faster weapon like Sword or Dagger, which means you can sneak in an overpower attack here and there if you are good with bars management, or just play safe and save bars for Healing in case you got hit. The fight will just be weapon coating -> Slow Time -> do dps -> Roll/run around -> Repeat till the boar is dead. This technique also works with every single boss/merc in the game, as long as you are not too low on lvl that you could get one-shotted. Again, slowtime is just absurdly broken.
Patrick C What level and difficulty is everyone playing on? I was lvl 14 and on normal and it took me a try and a half. I kinda bitched out and ran to get my health back. Found out later during round 2 I was getting health back with every warrior ability I was using so I killed the boars for health. So I didn’t die! Was cursing a lot with my father laughing his ass off in the background.
Amazing. I played and reached lvl 50 on Nightmare first time through and did not pick any of your top picks and had zero problems. Focused on assassin skills and then hunter. Didn't even touch the warrior tree. With proper gear sets assassin gear/build can easily clear forts and with hunter gear/build beasts and conquesting are cake mode. Multi-shot is undoubtebly the single best skill in the game. It litteraly clears entire camps and conquest battle field in seconds. The best combo is use the +100% damage and +20% multi-shot engraving. The +100% damage engraving synergizes with all the +10% crit and +50% crit damge engravings at LOW health. With proper hunter gear 1 multi-shot can wipe out 6 guys in a single shot.
Pro tip: once you reach spear level 3, you get a second melee ability wheel , meaning you can have assign up to 8 abilities. Don't know about PC, but on consoles it's L1+ dpad down.
Here’s a tip: If you want to kill an enemy who is a higher level than you just get them to where to can kill them with your ship and just pelt them with arrows
@Garrett Friday well yes of course, gotta keep moving. But thinning out the herd is another tactic as well taking some out of the fight temporarily makes a huge difference, takes away a blade pointed at your throat. I mean all the moves have a use if you use them right
@@triple0verkillz45 i wish there was a way to assign more than 4 melee abilities. I want to use second wind but i also really want as many offensive abilities as i can get
@@alec7568 you can assign a total of 8 on the melee side. Goto the abilities screen in menu, push the d-pad(down or up, i dont remember) and it will make it so you can add 4 more. Then in-game you push the d-pad to switch in and out. I put 4 assassin abilities on one slide and then Warrior abilities on the other.
@@Thevalueyouneed thankyou, i had actually posted this comment early in my playthrough and i hadn't unlocked the extra 4 slots yet, i have them all setup now.
I'm certainly a melee fighter. But I do try stealth first when infiltrating a base. However if I'm discovered then it helps to relay on your warrior skills to fight your way out of the situation you find yourself in.
Personally, I like the warrior playstyle. I have played 130h into this game here are the best for each Playstyle. Warrior: Shield Breaker Battlcry of Ares Sparta Kick Poison Hunter: Devastating shot all day Multi shot all day Archery master Anyone you like Assasin Critical Assasination Hero strike Revelation Anyone you like THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW: Second Wind is *essential* try to upgrade it Poison is much better than Fire. Get the FANGED BOW Dont upgrade anything until you reach max level OR upgrade 1 gear you like each 5 levels
Meh poison doesn't do as much damage. For me, i used to have both the fire and poison abilities and the fire would do about 3000 but poison only about 900
Bro where's the Hero Strike? Fully leveled it does 100% Assassin Damage (currently above 30K at level 32) and cant be blocked. Can also be used in combat and only cost 1 bar
Personally, I loved the ghost arrows. Badass name (that really doesn't matter, though) Doesn't alert enemies, these things could nick the soldier's ears and they wouldn't care damage similar but slightly weaker than the devastating shot true hitscan, if I remember correctly IGNORES WALLS AND SHEILDS insane range little to zero arrow drop
With Rush Assassination, you can throw the spear at a mercenary, throw it at a 2nd enemy or it's animal companion and then turn around and throw it BACK at the 1st target again for a ridiculous amount of damage and the base weapon damage bonus and assassin skill damage modifiers all tie together for the spear's assassination damage totals.
no matter what build you play, 2 points into archery master is good to pickup for the free adrenaline charge outside of combat. This is perfect if you need to reset (drop combat) during a fight, restore health and regain a free charge to setup a fight again
You say you'll advise which skills to get for all play styles, but all these are basically just for a warrior. Hero Strike is insane for an assassin. Can't be avoided and can be used in combat. WIll insta-kill almost anyone.
Granted it's a high enough cliff, that's how I take down high level bounty hunters, they like to climb the sides of structures unlike most soldiers use ladders. I hit them with a devastating shot first, then give em the boot once they hit the top of the building/cliff where I'm at. Plus some bounty hunters have an animal with them that has a matched level, they can't get up to a roof top so that helps out as well.
I use ring of chaos all the time, it's super useful if you wanna deal with alot of people plus it can give you an opening to back of and like charge up you'er heave blunt weapon or use your bow sense it can be hard when you'er fighting alot of people. Also hero strike is great! With it you can deal 100 assasins damage and it can't be blocked!!
I really like the Hero Strike, it deals so much dmg when you go for the assassin playstyle. Very helpful for enemys with pets, because it oneshots most of them.
Must have abilities- shadow assassin Devastating shot(my favourite) Sparta kick Revelation Healing Ability Shield breaker Knockout arrows(to recruit powerful soldiers for ship) Fighting with arrow and stealth is much easier than fighting with sword.
With 1.3 all legendary (gold) followers now vary with player's skill level, and thus no longer become obsolete as you advance in levels beyond the point you recruited them, and thus sparta kick is more critical than ever because followers are more powerful than ever.
I get the percentage damage up for warrior and hunter, i also like using either poison or fire for dps usually will get fire and i love hero strike and that stun bomb for a ninja escape
I have a weird mix of skills XD, but it works really well so far. I have predator shot, and on nightmare I easily take out Merc & cultists without them ever finding me (I also got the skill that refills 1 adrenaline bar), so I literally just run around and keep head shoting them.
This game so gonna be so much better than origins, it's like the black flag to ac origins. If you want to read a long ass message read on. I loved roaming ancient Egypt, but you haven't seen the full depth of this games world. there's a video of free roam in ac up on RU-vid and the guy Wonders around in snowy mountains and beautiful towns with cherry trees and amazing woods. This looks like a really diverse map instead of most ac games where even though they are all STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL they are all one kind of theme. Take origins, it had many different places, but at the end of the day they all boil down to the same sort of environment and that's completely understandable, just like black flag, it was all sunny islands with the occasional forest, this but this game has a really diverse map. And like I said it's like the black flag to origins meaning that when ac3 came out it was a completely new engine with new gameplay mechanics and controls. It had loads of bugs but it was beautiful and ambitious. Then black flag came out and it was a polished version of ac 3 with some new gameplay mechanics and of course the addition of the jackdaw. ODyssey is the exact same thing for origins.

Mister K I'm not trying to change anyone's opinion I'm just stating MY opinion. So far 25 people agree with me, but I never changed there opinion. They obviously already had MY opinion.
@@Josh-kt6jh I've been playing the game and I agree with you, most of origins was just sand, sand, and more SAND. With the occasional swamp or Oasis. But this game has snowy mountain peaks, forests, beaches, and many more interesting areas. Not to mention you have your own ship now and just like in Black flag. Ubisoft did great with this game. I'm 15 hours in so far.
Nyx Shadow is great ability in my opinion if u are an assasin but it gets usefull from lv 2 of upgrading bcs lv 1 is pretty useless. This skill is good when u want to run away, hide or change your position, I love changing position with it and then use artemis shots or overpowered shots.
dude could you show of how off the 'immortal' legendary set, I've heard it restores 20% of your health on death. I'd really want to see you use this, it sounds awesome!
Got so hype during naval battle before boarding enemy ship or when about to ram them. Your whole crew start chanting that shjt is epic af. And yes this game is a mix between Ac4 and orgins
It would literally be just black flag, vikings were literally just pirates. And unless the game would take place in a foreign land, it would be boring. Scandinavians did not have large structures and buildings to climb back then. As France, Italy or Greece did.
No love for Hero Strike? 100% Assassin damage, IN COMBAT, that costs 1 stamina and can critical strike. A full Assassin-Poison build with stun daggers makes the entire game trivial on the hardest difficulty. Take the engraving that makes your normal arrows apply poison and the multi shot ability for fun, its your answer when there are 5-6+ targets you can't Assassination Rush. Aside from that, take Spartan Kick. Because this is Sparta. And there is nothing you can't cheese with OP fall damage. Also because it gives you immunity frames (where you can't be hurt during the animation), acts as a stun on targets that aren't knocked back and can be used as a non-lethal takedown if you don't want to faff around with paralysis arrows.
EXPERT PLAYER TIP: Keep your skill trees as lean and mean as possible ... that means make a list of all the ones you don't use regularly, and then recycle them them by respeccing, then use the reclaimed points to buy mastery perks. Some of my favorites (names are not exact): > x% of dam dealt heals you (ideally 4% ... you can unlock an engraving for a separate 2% that stacks). > Adrenaline on hit > Adrenaline on crit > Adrenaline on parry > Fire damage > Assassination damage > Bonus damage for sparta kick > Bonus damage multishot > Bonus damage while health full > Bonus damage for critical assassinate > Bonus damage for rush assassinate > Bonus damage vs elites & bosses To get the most benefit from those mastery perks you want to work high burst damage skills like devastating shot and hero strike, as well as stacking damage for things like headshots & weapon types into your regular combat rotation. Also, for most of those you can get away with only putting a few points in each, since the bonuses gained trail off rapidly for additipnal points invested.
Nothing but great videos thanks for keeping me going can't wait to play tomorrow a bit upset that there's no complete all areas trophy like old habit in origins
This is really embarrassing but I just noticed after putting 40+ hours into this game that you have a second skill melee wheel. I thought we only had 1 wheel and only 4 slots just like the ranged wheel, so I was constantly switching out abilities. How I missed that I'll never know but In my defense even though it should have been easily noticeable it's never mentioned as a feature.
I know of topic but the ad before video made me think of how awesome an AC style game of thrones game would be. Just imagine that. If Ubisoft made a GoT game with the current AC design. Would be amazing.
haha i beat the game super quick atleast the story mode but i just started playing it again to get ready for AC valhalla, dang this game was super good, great memories
Does anyone else find the way you have to switch arrow types (e.g paralyse) to be a bit clunky? I also totally forget to put the arrow back to normal after I'm done and end up wasting paralyse arrows.
Hey jor! What would you recommend on a level to start upgrading my more badass gear? Because I’m still only in megaris & I’m level 15. Still just swapping over blues and purples for the most part.. but I really like that spear you get with the renegade set. It also sucks that it costs so much more materials then it did in Origins to upgrade lol. Any farms you have found yet?
I have been neck bearding so hard lately. God help me. Got the plat in Spider-Man, Just got the plat on shadow of the tomb raider and about to get this AND THEN Red Dead 2!!! What a time to be alive!
This is why i LOVE your videos/this channel Jor: The game isnt even out yet, and here you are already giving us some bad ass tips!!! Nice!! Btw Jor, is there a season pass for this game?
That’s because it’s a true rpg. You can’t just stack points and be the best at everything you actually need to specialize or just choose a few talents from each tree
If you use the spear that caps your health at 25% and you die and second wind triggers does anyone know if you get 25% of your full health back or just 25% of the capped 25%? If it's a whole segment then that spear suddenly becomes very appealing
guys a tip for the boar boss, i didnt kill the 4 piglets but got them close to death and stunned them, she souldnt spawn any new ones and she kinda bugged and stood still for 1min. i beat it within 3min
how did you unlock the overpower bow strike? For me, it is written you should reach Archery master (rank 1). but I already upgraded them. can you solve the problem? it would be very helpful
