Me when the cutscene started: "omg finally a dude who's my equal, obvious romance, I can't even wait!" Me finding out that Brasidas can't be romanced: "oh okay... so as a badass woman mercenary I get a dozen horny girls, an ugly blacksmith, a drunk pervert, 2 ok guys... but I can't romance the badass mercenary? Who dafuck wrote this?"
@@DabobbyG937 actually Kassandra was supposed to be the canon, they added the option to play as Alexios because they feared that male players would complain if they had to play as a woman.
@@katesay1559 as we would've tbf not fair not to give us a choice I'm glad their realised it was a terrible idea and canned it the love stories were clearly written for guys tho
@@DabobbyG937 Female gamers have had no choice in playing as a man for decades. If you gamer bros couldn't handle it for a single game then maybe you need to take a good look inward.
Yeah, my Kassandra is still married to him in my mind and no one can tell me otherwise, not even you, game. Brasidas why you make the same mistake twice!!! :(
When I first saw this cutscene I really fell in love with their dynamics! To me it always felt like Kas & Brasidas were suppose to be romantically involved, but that the idea got scrapped when Ubisoft decided to let the players also play as Alexios & let us have multiple other romance options :(
well cuz in real life brasidas was married and had a son so i guess they wanted make an accuracy in the game and wanted brasidas to be a most likable character
@@morganjones4292 This a choice based game with mithological creatures. Giving players alternative version of Brasidas would have been very cool. Fans of historical acuracy would simply be able to ignore the romance
@@GameslordXY I agree I totally ship them. But still as someone who values historical accuracy it would be kinda weird. But ac odyssey is not the assassin's game to complain about historically accuracy so its a losing battle
Brasidas seems so badass with the shield and spear. His designed and voice are also more interesting and better than Alexios, wish we could play as him, but in the design sort of way,
I actually love how they made her, a women that was training to fight since her childhood and was thrown off of a fucking mountain and lived a mercenary her entire life shouldn't be some skinny white girl.
Kass and Brasidas are just straight up bullying and overkilling some of them. The dude already has a spear in his heart Brasidas, you don't need to smash his face with your shield. AND THE LAST DUDE GOT BULLIED SO HARD
Well, at that point he was just showing off to impress the pretty warrior lady. This is how Spartan courtship works; you've gotta bring her the skull of an enemy rather than an engagement ring.
Their aim is to kill them and you're complaining that they were "bullying/killing them too hard"? Loool, good thing those Spartans aren't around now, they'd probably "bully" you too just for that comment.
Me too! I know he died in battle in real life, but like, I would've been down with them having been married in secret or something then he went to war and died then 😂
I swear to god, if all the cut scenes I'm this game looked like this, it would be so good because these fully and well animated scenes are goddamn beautiful. And plus, it gives so much of the characters emotion
@@TheRoguePrince0 Ofc not. It's a great game. A solid 8.5 (with the dlcs included). I do feel though that it's a bit... overrated. I can see why most love it so much but people are biased when it comes to it. They act as if it's the greatest game of all time forgetting its flaws. They forget how unplayable it was at the beginning. Cd Project Red failed at the most basic level of game design... the way your character moved. They had to patch in a new way for Geralt to walk and run. That's literally unheard off lol. Then there's the lack of interesting villains. The Wild Hunt is seen once at the start for a bit and then several hours later you just kill them. That's it. I can't even call them characters. Also, Geralt... Bland, boring and shallow. Having the Witcher mutation feels like an awesomely convenient way to not have to write a main character that's interesting. Also I'm still salty over it winning GOTY over Bloodborne. Now that's a real Ancient Greek tragedy.
@@divinitygaming8673 I do agree the witcher 3 is a little overrated and the game does still have some problems like it takes forever to get lots of money and the crafting and fast travel system is annoying
@@tanoshiofm3852 not exclusively for one on combat. They were trained mostly to maintain the phalanx position as best as possible. Medieval knights were trained for 1 on 1. A 1500th century knight would slaughter a spartan.
They're not though. Not even close. They ended up losing. They were nowhere close to matching legendary empires that came after them. Your interpretation of Spartans being great warriors comes almost entirely from Hollywood.
Are you sure you mean the Spartan war hero set and not the Spartan renegade set? you get the helm for the spartan war hero set after you kill the monger and this happens at the beginning of that quest chain so you wouldn't have had the helm yet unless you were using cheat engine
my personal favorite is a combination of agamemnon’s gauntlets, hip-skirt-thingy, and boots with the chest plate of ares and the wolf’s helm. looks badass
I've had the look I want for this game for the longest time. I'm so happy with the cinematic and it's just so badass no matter what load out you have on your character
At this point, I never have high expectations from AC. This cutscene was a nice surprise, and I hope the main story won't be disappointing as Origins was (In the end of Origins I was like "so what?", it felt like the end was too sudden). That said, how can I not love Spartans? My Alexios enjoyed quite a lot his romance with Thaletas, too bad I can't romance Brasida as well.
Looking at Kassandra with Brasidas is pretty funny. Coz she looks so timid & small than him, like a small silly cat, while this same scene with Alexios, now that's a picture perfect painting of pure testosterone.
0:22 Brasidas says "come and get it" or "molon labe", a sentence which Leonidas told Xerxes I as an act of defiance when he and his soldiers told the Spartans to surrender their weapons. THIS IS SO COOL
I love how in the book she meets Brasidas when he's hiding in a small hole under the floor of the Monger's hideout and that the Monger knew he was there the entire time
