Yes my friend join us join Greece embrace this word😂😂😂 Also nowadays we use it in about 70% of our sentences and just say it randomly. We actually sometimes say hello malaka to greed a friend 😂😂😂
And sassy sometimes. When she defeated a challenger and he was moaning _"What feeling is this?"_ , Kassandra answered _"The shame of defeat."_ in a very sassy voice. Lol
I met Michael Antonakos completely by chance at a bar in London and he was the nicest, kindest, most sincere dude. He was gracious enough to really chat to me and my brother and when we asked for his autograph he looked so moved. Absolute legend of a guy!
I felt the same way. I’m playing it now for the first time, and I kept wondering why he was giving me Ezio vibes. It didn’t feel natural, imo. I think it would’ve been better if he tried to make Alexios more original.
@@pita6865 Im italian, Ezio sounds russian to me. Fortunately i played it in the italian version. Its a shame that there isn't a greek version of Odyssey...that should be the real original language.
Much respect to Ubisoft for actually using real life actors of Greek descent. Ubisoft has always been great at authenticity and they spend a lot of time and effort to make games that respect history but also serve as great entertainment.
@@LulitaInPita ahaha true, pretty ironic coming from a French company and a studio based in Montréal, but they knew as all French people know that the French accent would end up annoying people. As a Frenchman I feel like they did a good job balancing French and English, all the ambiant dialogue is in French and it's wonderful, they really nailed Revolutionary Paris and if you don't speak French you are going to miss a lot of what they did for authenticity, it's crazy how many discussions there are in the background, lots of them actually interesting. Also, Elise is actually voiced by a Quebecer. With the AC series Ubisoft really set the bar high for creating historical environments.
@@kattharsismic yeah, that's great and all, but they could've at least provided some subtitles for those background conversations, for those of us who don't speak French! That's one of the things I like most about exploring the game's world and I couldn't understand 90% of what they were saying... :/
Usually, seeing the actors behind a beloved character ruins some of the wonder of that character for me, but this reveal made me like Alexios and Kassandra even more!
Kassandra's face is so expressive, and the voice is so perfect, it really brings the character to life. She performs it in a way that isn't obvious, and acts it out so well. Some voice actors can ruin a character, and some can save bad writing, but she totally nails what was already some solid stuff. I hope Alexios is even half as good on my next playthrough.
@@SF-li9khsince I played Odyssey as a woman, I started Valhalla as a man, so I haven't seen that yet. I might switch it to check, but I'm pretty happy with the current Ivarr. Although the Valhalla protagonist is less likable than Odyssey to lmo.
Kassandra has such a powerful, unique and authentic sounding voice that really pulls you into the story (and after learning about Melissanthi makes me like Kassandra more!).
Idk about that...there's Altair, Ezio, Bayek, Edward, shay I mean there's no character development with her she has good voice acting but a interesting story with a ending that could of been so much better.
I like kassandra more and I chose Kassandra, and tbh the only reason why I chose her was that when she plays Deimos it does not suit her character on the other hand Alexios makes a way better Deimos
Their depth as actors really made me feel for this game. No spoilers, but there's a scene in Athens that made me so emotional I shed tears. Bravo to these actors for bringing Kassandra and Alexios to life.
That scene in athenswith Alexios moved me. People say that Alexios voice acting was inferior but I disagree, scenes like this he delivered with such emotion it was great job.
It's not weird ! Michael Stevens (vsauce) has episode about it in Mind Field series. We all were in love with Aloy from HZD before :) It's harder to be in love with Ellen Page from "beyond: Two souls" or with Ashley Johnson from "The Last of Us" because they are real and it's harder to be crushed by :))))))
@@ArturoSM01 If that was the blacksmith, I turned him down because he was creepy. "hey I can take the flowers now, do you want to join me in my house?" umm..nope.
But Alexiosnis awful, I am from Mexico and normally I do not like the spanish version of games because is Spanish from Spain, yet I had to choose to play with those settings due the bad acting and ring voice in Alexios, I did love Bayek, Jacob, Connor, Ezio, Altair and all others in English, Bayek was tricky compare to Adewale but I end loving how he was portrait, I just have a couple hour of gameplay and I do not feel attach to Alexios as I did with Bayek and his journey of revenge. I am thinking that Oddisey was meant to play as Kassandra
To be honest these voice actors should be a part of future AC games as well. Kassandra's voice acting was top quality. Her voice would work with Scandinavian AC as well
Melissanthi did AMAZING I absolutely love Kassandra's voice and her performance, seriously emotionally moving and chilling. Her performance really makes you feel like you are Kassandra which is great. I just wish people in comments would stop reducing her to her looks
Odyssey was such an amazing game and Kassandra might be my favorite character in the series. Played through Valhalla but it wasnt nearly as good as Odyssey.
The voice actors were on point in Odyssey! I was so impressed. Odyssey made me want to travel to Greece, and my holiday in Greece made me want to learn the Greek language.
Bravo! This is my FAVORITE game of ALL TIME. I've dreamed of visiting Ancient Greece, and everything about this game from the scenery, to the music, to the incredible voice acting and beautiful animation took me there. I am so very happy to have made the purchase, and to have experienced this unforgettable game. A special thanks to everyone involved with this project for helping me to walk through this incredible era of human history. Also the story was simply amazing. Loved it--and to any gamer even thinking of grabbing a game, GRAB THIS ONE. I played as Kassandra, an amazing character and will try the game next as her brother. Can't possibly get enough time in this world. Ubisoft, you have created a masterpiece.
Also, I DO NOT work for Ubisoft; I'm actually a gamer, history fan, and veteran's lawyer by trade. The developers got so much right with this game, everything from the way the characters move to the way the scenes of Greece looked back in the day. Historians were clearly consulted.
Well, you probably knew some attacks were going to come because of your statement, you should have upgraded your armor first, maybe got some engraving as well. Lol
1:25 I love that he brings this up because its actually noticeable in-game. In my first play through, I tried to make sure i chose every dialogue option; which was cool for exposition sake, but felt awkward because the emotion of each line felt just a tad different from each other. In my second play through i decided to breeze by the options and found the acting to be much more natural.
Same here I love the time they took to make this amazing game its so beautiful and I love the characters and story I would give it a 10/10 loved the game so much
I have to say as an adult I truly love these Assassin Creed games. Such dedication to detail and the graphics especially in Odyssey are stunning. Truly. Makes me wish that the landscape as it was then. Would of been breathtaking.
The ironical thing is that in the game when I first heard the voice actors i thought Kassandra's voice actor was Greek and Alexios an English speaking person. Well, I was wrong :/
Highly addictive game , can't stop playing it .... Best Assassins Creed so far ... Voice acting straight to the point with right pronunciation of a Greek talking in English (Alexios till now ). Thanks Ubisoft for such a great game. Big respect from Greece 🇬🇷 ...
Same with me lol... i downloaded so much new games (black flag, unity, syndicate, arkham knight, tomb raider, uncharted 4, horizon zero dawn, and witcher 3), but i just cant leave odyssey. Last games that made me addictive is last of us and origins (which i played for about 2 weeks), but this game is so addictive that made play for over a month, and im not even playing the new game plus yet lol
Michael (Alexios) : i prepared by watching old AC games and enjoyed Ezio's character so i wanted to honor it by dropping bits of his character in my role in this new game. Melissanthi (Kassandra) : sTrOnG wAhMaN
Alexios voice actor is spot on, yall just never heard a thick greek accent is all. This is the point where I edit my comment to let you all know an important caveat to my original post. Edit: I've not played the game! I have no idea if he is a good or bad voice actor. Honestly Ubi games tend to be a 50/50 chance in that regard. People tell me Kassandra is the best choice so I'm cool with that. His greek accent isn't bad though, just sayin'.
She is so good! I'm an interpreter and Voiceover actor in Arabic ... And I notice the amazing attention to the details. I know how hard it is to fit a seamless dialogue options in a natural flow.
Didn’t think it was possible, but I love both Kassandra and her VA so much. Such a unique voice, the deep/husky timbre kinda reminds me of Kuvira from Korra.
Loving this game so much such a great adventure with some great dialogue choices. can’t wait for the dlc! Best assassins creed yet! Next Mayan or Aztec pls
I think ubisoft has made ENOUGH Japanese themed stuff, just take a look at for honor... Two fractions are Asian, they need to focus somewhere else. Aztecs would be very nice
This and Origins are my fave AC games, and i played all of them(besides Syndicate), and yes, i know its not an original “assassin” game, but it’s the beginning of… ;) PS: both art books are amazing btw, if you like ancient Greece and Egypt
