9 assassin's creed games look and play the same no one speaks a word.odyssey looks like origins and everybody losses their mind.

Assasin creed or not. I always wanted to be spartan. So i would enjoy this game.

Reviewers that say "there's too much game here". Remember these people get every game that comes out for free and can pick and choose what they want to play. For everyone else having a huge game is a positive.

Beautiful game. The RPG elements have breathed new life into the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Combat is challenging enough, and the setting is just amazing.

Just bought this game finally almost a month ago. I gotta admit that sometimes I think that there's too much to do lol. The world is huge with so much content that no matter how much you play, you're barely chipping away at the big picture. Unless you focus on the main quests of course. Awesome and epic game!!!

I'm about 24 hours in and i'm really loving it. The Characters are great and the story is very interesting and good.

I personally love how they’ve gone with this series. Sure it isn’t he ‘standard’ assassin type formula but with every time we go back further, we get closer to the first civ story. Odyssey and Origins were incredible additions to the series.

i just came by to say i don't find AC really interesting and not that type i'll be playing all day until i played this AC Odyssey ! Probably the BEST AC's game ever!! (my personal thought tho')

This game is amazing. I've racked up 70 hours of play and I'm still loving it.

I’m glad the old assassin’s creed is dead. Gameplay since origins has been a breath of fresh air. They HAD to change it up to keep the franchise going and I’m relieved the odyssey gameplay has continued much the same way as its predecessor. Ubisoft’s biggest crime was not changing things YEARS ago.

Been playing for the whole day... far better game than origins, one of the best AC games in my opinion.

Assassin's creed odyssey is heavily underrated and the only reason is bcoz it came out in 2018, and faced competition from God Of War, RDR2 and Spider Man... I mean I really got my money's worth and really enjoyed it..

Idk, gamespot also game AC syndicate a 9, Brotherhood an 8.5, amd Origins a 7. I personally think origins should have been an 8 and this game a 8.5

Assassin's Creed became famous for it's city free-run mechanics and while I commend Ubi for trying to freshen up the formula, it really barely feels about assassins or parkour anymore...

You know, I really like it when reviews highlight all flaws and good things because it is neutral and does not overthrow your opinion

After 55+ hours I just want to finish the story and never play it again. This game is too big for it's own good.

SPARTAN CREED ODYSSEY

The last actual Assassin's creed game in the series was Unity. These latest two entries are a different thing entirely.

They can call it Assassin's Creed but it looks more like you play a warrior than an assassin.

Why does this sound like the reviewer hasn't actually played the game,? It's just weird, like a press release mixed with criticisms cribbed from other reviews. It's robotic.

I have no reason to hate this. Origins was the best AC I’ve played since AC2. On top of that, I’ve always wanted an open-world spartan game ever since I saw the movie Troy tbh. So I’m definitely getting this.

This is now my new favorite game. I didn't play this last year because I thought it was a rush or reskin of origins but no. This has better graphics and ubisoft work for this for 5 years.

To people who say this is not AC you are right BUT there will be future DLC and these DLC's will reveal the assassin brotherhood

I’m about 12 hours in and it’s by far the best AC I’ve played. I’m so glad they went full on RPG. And Kassandra is far more likeable and enjoyable than Bayek. On a somewhat arbitrary scale I’d give it an 8.7 out of 10.

Bayek seems like a more interesting character then these two in this game.

My question is why people are comparing a rd2 which is done by rockstar a major gaming company to ubisoft who put out muti games per year. RD2 Had a longer developments and delays. And is done by ROCKSTAR people who put out a game every once in a while. And most of their games arent sequals you get gta 4 then red dead then la noir then max pain 3 then gta 5. See what im getting at ac been coming out every year beside origins. Rd2 was in development for way longer and the caliber of rockstar can bearly be match by anyone. I just find it really dumb to compare these two games one a rpg one a open world shooter with some rpg mechanic rd2 is not a rpg stop comparing them

If this wasn’t an assassins creed game everyone would give it a 10/10. Ubisoft should just drop the assassins creed title and just make action RPGs at this point because Origins was an 11/10 and this looks even better but of course all the AC fanboys are freaking tf out.

The quality of the writing is just so uneven, its been my biggest hurdle in dealing with the games' giant length

RDR2 just put everything else out there into perspective... I know it hasn't come out yet, but every major game journalist have played and they all say the same, and just from everything that has been written and said of it so far. Rockstar has created a true World where NPC's are not just there doing random things, and the only things you can do is scare them, kill them, or pass by. You will be able to interact with every single one of them in a unique way, with unpredictable consequences. So far, open-world games have been worlds that if you took away the main stories and side quests would feel dead. You can't live without your map in them because you won't know where to go to do stuff... any stuff... while in RDR2 you will be able to have tons of fun and genuine enjoyment just 'being there' interacting with nature and normal NPC's in so many different ways, even without the missions and side missions. To play games like Odyssey when RDR2 comes out will feel absolutely boring from now on. The bar has been lifted so high now, I won't waste my hard earned money on boring-ass games no more, much less am I going to waste any more minute of my life on them too

The most ridiculously large, long, watered down game I’ve ever played. Every side mission has that “ahh that’ll do, we can’t spend too much time on this” feeling. There is a lot of work done on this game but they should never have made it this large. Quality of quantity. It feels like a chore wading through. The narrative crossover is impressive and the graphics are nice.

Never seem a AC game so praised since Brothehood. Damn.

I was hoping that the "recruiting" aspect of the game was going to have a more AC: Brotherhood or AC: Revelations type of feel. I hope Ubisoft improves on this mini game on the next installment.

Post Launch Origins was greatly improved, with new game plus, photo mode, fixed animations and graphics and new features and missions, I'll wait a few months before getting this one. Maybe for Christmas or Black Friday. Not to say the game doesn't already look impressive.

Man, My PS4 PRO and PSVR headset are going to be very well used this month. Tomorrow I'll be enjoying Fist of the North Star exclusive on my PRO and Astro Bot PSVR exclusive. Then Assassin's Creed Odyssey will be getting some use with my PS4 PRO and PSVR headset. Then the PSVR is getting some more use with Home Sweet Home and Gungrave VR. Then at the end of the month Red Dead Redemption 2 will be rocking my PS4 PRO and PSVR headset.

Identifying the best parts and looking for things to enjoy rather than trashing it and lumping bias on top, negatively influencing players, often to the detriment of the games. I could be wrong but I don't think women were allowed to fight or consider Spartans. Oh and even though they are Hoplites they don't have sheilds. Why? The armor and shields are what they were known for. But hey don't let the facts get in the way of a story.

How can they be so stupid, making the same game over and over again. The same climbing, follow your target, assassinate, then sailing, diving and fishing. Same old shit!

why i have the feeling that the quests look boring

Not surprising that the romances feel tacked-on: there's a reason BioWare have been the main studio associated with that kind of sidequest - it's not easy to do them right.

Splinter Cell in 2019 would be everything I need

"Too much contest for his own good". More than 1 minute of the review was about something so little as the romance options and half of the review is just scenes of the game without the voice of the reviewer. Horrible review in my opinion. It had no personality or was half informative as I expected.

Can't say I'm excited about multiple endings, especially since I won't have time to play through a gane this size more than once. Origins had a fantastic, impactful story that built on everything else we had learned in the other assassins creed games
