Hope you all enjoy this look at a lengthy side quest from Assassin's Creed Origins. We'll have a ton more content in the coming days and weeks, so stay tuned. Thanks for watching! - Brandin
So ppl were mad about AC being the same game year after year but as soon as they decide to change it up you guys are now complaining about how it's not like the old ac games? You guys sound like cod players
God bless you, stranger, I was really looking for a person here who's not the typical childish, obnoxious AC fan. Rarely do I find someone like you in such a toxic fanbase.
Back in the day while we were playing NES we would buy a brand new game and we would insert in the console and the game wouldn't work we wouldnt return the game or even complain about it we would just take the game out and blow in it (tho it did nothing but we didnt knew did at the time) and put it back in and hope it works...And still we loved the NES and near all games on it imagine now that the PS5 has that kind of problems I mean everyone would go crazy about it and everyone would switch to XBox...That shows how really spoiled we became over the years...
Formula for the best AC game: 1.)the sidekick assassins from brotherhood 2.)the property buying from AC2 3.)GEAR system,CO-OP and parkour from unity 4.)horse,naval from past games 5.)vehicle combat from syndicate 6.)THE RUNNING COMBAT FROM AC3 & 4
This is exactly what we need.... This isn't trying to reinvent old stuff... It's trying something new and working tremendously. This needs to be the future of this franchise.
I remember when Black Flag was announced people were bashing it saying "this isn't AC it's a pirate game it will be bad game no buy no buy" and look at AC Black Flag now it's one of THE BEST AC games yet GIVE AC ORIGINS A CHANCE BEFOR YOU JUGDE IT maybe the Black Flag team can pull out another good game and even Ashraf said IN THIS vid that there still working on the game soo they might fix the facial animations
Fatal Wisdom I'm just really scared that i won't like the combat system. I wasn't one of those people who wanted change, I want the combat system and the same type of missions from black flag. Also I wanted a good theme, so no 18 and 19th century.
Gyompie Susters in my opinion the combat looks better than Syndicate's combat and we haven't had a major AC game for awhile soo I can't wait for the story and the quests ect. The game looks good for me I can't wait to get back into AC we just need to stay positive because if we don't we might see the death of Assassin's Creed and i for one am a big fan of AC I don't want it to die so I'm ok with Origins it looks good to me
Mike Dunne true but remember this is the farthest an AC game has gone so they might make an amazing story with a minimal amount of historical facts to hold them back from creating there own story and AC Black Flag had a good story and like I said AC Origins has minimal historical stuff holding them back because there's still stuff from ancient Egypt we don't know they can run wild with the story and make it good
The one thing I hope they fix is the combat. I'm all for changing up the combat, but it just looks so weird and clunky. That and the way enemies run at you
You know what would make the combat even better and more realistic? limb injuries. It would be kind of cool if you could injure the enemy arms or leg to the point where it effects how they fight. It would also be cool if the same thing could happen to you.
Seeing how they made the combat "let me stab you all the way through, then you do the same to me", and that takes away like 3% health, it would be pretty interesting if any injury had any effect at all
It should not be happening to the player itself as it will make the game really hard to play, but definitely its a great concept and i would love to see it happen.
ReDaUlTrA567 new type of ac game? This in my opinion is not AC but another rpg that's overhyped. If I'll play this game I'll play it as the only rpg game I've ever liked. Not ac because of the lack of the minimap the rpg being and the fact that assassination is merged with intetaction. Although I'm glad you don't mind these changes and expressed this in an intellugent manner. Respect for you! In my country we (who express our disagreement) are shunned.
Waking Titan self formed opinion replicated by 300 hundred others already and then copy pasted on other videos meaning there was never a need for you to say it. Yet you do because of course you do. Hate and venom is popular. No it it is not opinion its popular
Just cause its a sidequest means it gets a pass ? 4 yr old witcher had tonns of sidequest and yet, their facial animations were superb. Now dont even start by saying its not finished yet, you fanboy you.
Nope, im not a fanboy. But Its a side quest dude. These are probably side characters. Of course they will not have the full lipsyncing treat as main characters. It doesnt annoy me. If it annoys you then just dont get the game? the witcher 3 facial animations werent superb. They were good. Nothing more then that lmao. A videogame just cant be perfect.
Musl1m1n I have posted this in different places for people who want to know more and the haters. You can pull arrows out of your shield to use for yourself. You can put dead bodies laden with poison on the backs of horses and camels and send them into enemy encampments to poison crowds of enemies. There is now a loot system based on rarity and attributes of equipment. Items can be broken down into crafting materials. Scoping out enemy encampments is now easier than ever with Senu. You can seemlessly explore underwater now for new gear or just for fun. Viewpoints are no longer an actual necessity. Even side quests tell their own stories similar to the way The Witcher 3 handled them. Everyone in the game practically lives their own lives which opens up numerous options for assassinations. The hood can be taken off and put on. You can pass time with the press of a button. You can also climb anything now so pesky mountains won't get in the way. We get to see the beginnings of the brotherhood as we know it. One of the things i'm most excited for is the return of tomb raiding because I loved it in the Ezio trilogy.
I really like the brutal kill animations it had, combat in previous AC games was far too boring and easy with only having to press 1-2 buttons, I'm glad they have changed it
There is psychological theories that prove people become more extreme about their views when others agree. This applies to game. A game may actually not be that bad, people just hate it more when they see others dont like it, then it turns into a big ball of fury because a few people thought it didnt look that good.
Mike Dunne My point is this game may be not half bad, but if a few people who dont like see that others also dont like it, it goes from just disliking the game to hating it, which can make a decent game seem awful. Mass Effect Andromeda was a let-down, but it was a decent game. Yet there were people who didnt like who saw more people didnt like it, and they began to hate it. Its like angry mobs, not everyone starts out angry, but they see how everyone is upset and they get more angry
And the sad part is, a game could actually be really good, but because of this herd mentality, it ruins the reputation for a game and significantly hurts the future of the game, just because of a few kids that like bandwagonning hate.
Assassins Creed: Secrets Where Abraham Lincoln is a secret assassin and your mentor, he saved you from being a slave Assassins Creed: Frontier In Argentina, during all the revolution Assassins Creed: Vikings You don't need a description for this bruh Assassins Creed: Rising sun In Japan, you're a ninja assassin, and that's all you need to know Assassins Creed: Legacy In present time where the successors of the master assassins( Altair, Ezio, Connor, Edward, Arno) unite to fight the templars, corruption , hypocrites, dictators and more Assassins Creed: Night of Sorrows During the time where the conquerors met the aztecs
The last one would be interesting, but it wouldn't be a AC anymore, having in mind, that they can't fight against more than 2 men with a hidden blade. You know what I mean? The enemies would have guns and it would become a WatchDogs game style. You would hack,be very sneaky and very vulnerable. Just my opinion, please don't hate me! :D
They should add some of the parkour animations from unity, Ik it had a lot of bugs but the parkour animations were the best and most realistic of all ac games. I.e. Stumbling and not always running the exact same way
the only thing they should include from unity is that great OPTIONAL coop and the customization regarding weapons and gear, mixing and matching gear was the best thing to happen in a AC game.
one thing i know for a fact that they have in this game is that when you hit the ground after jumping from a high place Bayek will limp for a few seconds while he recovers
It's an immense task to have constant high level facial animations if your game spans hundreds of hours. There's a reason games with great facial animations like uncharted are only 8-10 hours long.
It seems like people are literally just being hypercritical because it's Assassin's Creed. I don't usually make an argument like that because usually it just comes across as deflective, but for this, I make an exception because it's true. This is a side quest. Ask yourself this: how many side quests do you see with super polished animations? Not to mention this is probably alpha footage that was planned and prepped months ago. I haven't played Witcher 3 because I'm not into fantasy, but I looked at some side quest gameplay and the lip-sync animations in that are certainly not anything to write home about. Ask yourself: would you really make these same criticisms if it wasn't an AC game?
Probably not, but there's a certain level of expectation when it comes to an AC game. Not only that but they took a year off of their "annual release" system and still the game doesn't seem to have many improvements over other iterations (except for the visuals). So yea people are gonna criticize this game harshly especially if they don't feel it met their expectations.....
Does anyone know what that blue meter is for? Also, loved that awkward hug in the end, and finally a work of media that shows the pyramids with their original gold tips.
People are going to praise this game 10 years later. The hate is like back then when AC3 was revealed, people just ended with Ezio's arc, so it was hard for them to move on. For me, it's kinda strange for Assassin's Creed to have a RPG elements, but who knows, it might end up being fun :D
Mackenzie Moran why the npcs taking and different language, why cant u pick your own language u speak instead of running by npcs taking mumbo jumbo but the quests are in english wtf
At first i saw the game i thought the rpg type combat system really doesn't fit with this game but after see this i change my mind about this game, the Combat system really fit with this game and also i really like they bring a little bit of humor to this game
Arda Gus15 the best part is that it’s not pure humor, but he is a serious person with a serious story with some humor here and there and that’s amazing
Abhigyan Sharma no. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean they have to change the release date. Yes it has a few glitches there's still time until October 27
E. Anderson but don't you think if you push the release date they can fit a lot new things in there......they can improve the water physics.....footstep sounds....the cutscene should look more smooth.....they're are more
Abhigyan Sharma to be fair dude the game looks great and i think it will have soft launch and if theres any small things that need improvements they'll patch it
Those who saying Origins can't even come close to Witcher 3, you are clearly just fanboiing. Witcher 3 is one of the best game ever but why can't AC Origins be just as good or better. Hell even coming near WItcher will make it worthwhile and it has Ancient Egypt setting to boot. Why can't you embrace it? Witcher series is over. Don't you want other games to come to close to it or you gonna marry it and play til you die. I'm hopeful about AC Origin. Shake off that narrow fanboi symptoms and hope for the best.
Noman Johan Witcher series is not over only gearlt story is Plus Witcher 3 was made by Cd project red Ac origins is made by ubisoft Big difference they offered 16 free Dlc. How many Dlc are ubisoft giving for free in assassin creed origins???
CD Projekt Red is one of my fav studio (along with Rockstar and Ensemble). I really like their gamestore GOG.com. Can't say the same about Ubisoft but Assassins Creed started out as a great series and great concept. I can't see why it can't redeem itself. I just hope Origin will be almost as good as Witcher 3. So far it looks good for a beta game.
Honestly this is a huge step for Assassins Creed. Its very reminiscent of the Witcher, in that you can do anything anywhere at anytime. It's kind of what the series has always strived for, creating a historic playground. Plus this is the guy who directed Black Flag, I trust him in trying new things and making them work.
Riley Brewer Ashraf definitely knows what he's doing when it comes to Assassin's Creed. Plus they have Darby Mcdevitt co writing the story so it's going to be amazing. Those 2 were in Black Flag together and look how that turned out.
I know the gaming community throws a lot of unnecessary hate at these game developers for there hard work and never seem to be satisfied... Ever... But... I do have to say .. The dashing to dodge method is terrible ..well looks.. And for now it doesn't seem like I'll be continuing on the AC Series.. I love change but don't rush it .. Quality over quantity any day. #FavoriteIsBlackflag
Gekke Mesto No, the game isn't done yet. Mate, how much do you think people can fix and add on a couple of months? When people say "work in progress" just a couple of months before release, you're right in thinking what you see is more or less what you're gonna get.
Remember children: If you want 100% realistic graphics, animations, an open and living world and so on.. just leave your room once in a while. Btw I think this game looks great and it seems like you can have a lot of fun with it
Did anyone else notice that when Bayek walked in the tunnel entrance to the pyramid, it was the exact spot where the one of the first ever AC:O leaked image's was taken?. 05:13 Just a heads up :)
I don't understand the hate. This looks like a step in the right direction for Assassin's Creed - loving the true open-world feel and what seems to be some decent variety in personalities with quests. Also the loot system, not bad at all. I'm excited, appreciate the footage IGN.
I'm so proud of the team working on this if they don't become the official AC team then Ubisoft will be making a huge mistake and they still have three months to make changes and improvement to the game like the combat and voice sync
While I'm still very interested in this game as a big AC fan, along with the cool new location and story possibilities, I still can't get over the new combat and a few other elements I see as detriments. The combat just doesn't seem as satisfying anymore, with hit points blocking the action, random hack/slash looking attacks, and messy execution animations. Granted, this is still in development and animations have never been AC's strongpoints, yet for a new installment that is supposed to usher in a new AC era of games, I can't help but feel a bit disappointed, despite my enthusiasm and optimism for the game.
Josh Exactly how I'm feeling. Honestly, something closer to Unity's combat mixed with the strengths of Black Flag/AC3/Rogue would be great in my opinion.
Josh To be honest, I like the new combat. It's refreshing in my opinion. We all have opinions and I do respect yours. Each their own style. AC Origins turns out to be my style. 😀
Most everything else about the game is right up my alley too. Love the new location and the visuals, graphics, all of that has always been very engrossing for me with the AC franchise. I'm one of the people that reads every little write up on the landmarks, events, etc. The HUD is ridiculously distracting this time around (maybe you can minimize it, etc.) and the combat looks clunkier than ever to me. Though they still are in the midst of polishing things I'm sure.
Mike Solberg why will u buy a gaming pc for me! I know u r just joking 😔 btw it's my dream to play games like GTA 5, Assassin's creed syndicate, cod infinity warfare, battelfield 1 etc😭 but I can't afford a gaming pc they r so expensive 😔 out of my buget
I will be able to play this game on medium or high settings on my pc my pc ia mot that good either i have a i7 proccessor and 16gigs of ram with a nvidia gtx1050ti
Not complaining about all the inspiration they took from it everthing in the world comes from inspiration but the core idea of the AC should not be lost along the way we want AC origins not AC witcher origins
Tom2893 Cusquenha The writing, acting, lip syncing and cutscenes look so strangely weird..outright bad. I call unfinished release due to Microsoft pushing them!
To be honest, I feel like most open world games sacrifice side quest characters models because of how extensive the process is. We can see this same issue across the board.
Jose A. Ramirez Moya That is why I think Witcher 3 excelled and is the best open world game in this decade. 300 hours of Witcher 3 and no disappointments.
And if you're bashing a game THATS NOT EVEN OUT YET for its graphics or facial aNiMaTiOnS then you ain't a gamer look at Skyrim it's awesome sure it's an old game but it doesn't have the best graphics but it's one of the best games soo give AC a chance the character Bayek looks better then Arno, Jacob and Eve for me
Cainderous Ordo Come on, the first word in a sentence starts with a capital letter. It's one of the first things you learn at school. I would recommend checking your work over before you start pointing at other's faults. On top of that, you have edited your comment so that means you must have missed it a second time, rookie mistakes...
Lipsync in these games has always been hit and miss or just straight bad. Glad to see they're keeping things consistent with this brand new title! Alright, maybe I'm being too harsh. The game still looks great! Been needing to scratch that AC itch for two years now!
Wirtuoz kakofonii I am not sure but I think the language that they spoke at the time was Coptic, believe or not, in some religious capacity the language is still alive and is in limited use, at the time it was written in demotic language characters, right now it's written in Greek alphabets in addition to six demotic letters. So if the game developers tried really hard, they would have been able to find more than enough Coptic speakers to do the voice over. Maybe they can add the language as an add-on later, that would be really cool. I am not sure how expensive it's going to be, but it would still be cool.
Wirtuoz kakofonii yeah they do German French and Spanish voice over they never do Arabic despite the fact that there's a sizable Arabic speaking gamers
This game has potential to be one of the best AC games ever. The changes to the combat and eagle vision system will most likely be a great change of pace, and the new rpg quest, ability and equipment elements look fantastic. If there's anyone who can make this game work, it's the developers of Black Flag
Damn, script is "brilliant", give them scriptwriters an award or something: -It is odd for a child to be playing here, no? -Oh! Wha-what do you mean? -I'm looking for some stolen items - looks like you could help me... -I don't know what you're talking about! -My child. You are not at fault, I am here to help. -We hid it in Menkaure's pyramind! I'm sorry!
Also I'm wishing they make a small short dlc that takes back during arno's period and the dlc will be about arno finding shay and hunting him down, honestly I still feel incomplete with the story of unity, no proper closure, yeah germain is dead but he wasn't really able to solve the real problem and that's avenging is father, and maybe to make it more exciting arno meets connor, lets say Connor desides to visit france and meets arno and arno asking him if he knows who killed his father, assuming maybe Connor knows who it is and also seeks the death of shay. Arno and connor can then team up to bring down shay this is also a great opportunity for connor to reinforce the colonial brotherhood by recruiting arno to be part of it since he was banished from the french brotherhood....what do you think
i'll never understand why they killed him off... normally when a game franchise kills a main character its either at the end or they're introducing a new main character to take the reins, but ubisoft said screw that and just left a void of nothingness.
Syndicate is actually a downgrade compared to Unity. And you can notice it Unity could hold more NPCs compared to Syndicate. The team downgraded due to all the bugs Unity had with it's graphic engine. That is why Unity actually looks better compared to Syndicate.
"Halfway through the game is when we'll be able to be in this area" God damn it, you know what that means. "Area not available in current memory" "Desynchronization imminent"
A lot of people seem to be dissatisfied with Ubisoft lately, the way they sort of recycle games, and i do think they have a bit of a habit in that respect. But honestly i really feel like this is one we should appreciate, its one hell of a tough game world to create, it looks stunning, fluid and genuinely different from the rest, thumbs up from me :)
To me this looks awesome, I love the setting, art style and the gameplay looks fun. The combat has changed but I like how it plays, will be a fun change! But my one criticism is some of the combat animations. Being impaled and still fighting like it was nothing takes me right out of the immersion! Still, very excited for this! :D
Hang on... at 12:48 seconds, he literally lifts him up while he's impaled on the spear... after that the target has half health... I don't know what else to say other than, are you serious? How can you invest all this time into bringing back the feeling AC used to give its fans, then somehow think it's a good idea to produce bullshit like that. Now i've seen this, I understand what the combat system is going to be like. The fans want to be the stealthy, ninja like powerhouse who's name would strike fear into the hearts of the templars that we originally were, where you were not alone but a part of something bigger, the creed... We want to be able to use peoples weapons against them! stab them with their sword then the throw the sword at the enemy who's trying to sneak up on you and kill him with it.Front flip over people or run up walls and do a back flip then stab them mid flip, break necks, break legs. You should have introduced some form of martial art. Instead of bodies landing in some poetic, dramatic way like they did at 8:50 (THE GUY LITERALLY JUMPED) we want some human like rag doll feel where people respond to the move and damage you do. There was so much room for opportunity and improvement. That's not even remotely realistic... the game looks amazing but the combat system IS NOT what AC is about. We love being surrounded by enemies and performing combos and chain kills. THIS IS NOT HARD, IT IS JUST LONGER FORM OF COMBAT WHICH RIGHT NOW MAKES ME NOT WANT TO FIGHT... I for one am all up for making it harder, but this is not the way to go about making the combat system harder. Never the less I am looking forward to this game, BUT UBISOFT - DON'T FORGET WHAT AC IS ABOUT, SOME THINGS A PLAIN CRIMINAL TO CHANGE.
Terrors So you like killing enemies by pressing a couple of buttons? Do you think that's 'realistic'? Do you just "oohhh" and "aahhh" at the flashy, shallow animations that make you feel like a skilled badass? Are you upset that you'll actually have to grow some brain cells to fight competently? *REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!* "*IT IS JUST LONGER FORM OF COMBAT WHICH RIGHT NOW MAKES ME NOT WANT TO FIGHT*" You sound like a hyperactive 8 year old. Flashily animated 1 hit 1 kill executions were cool back in the day but know they are boring and unchallenging. At least with this form of combat, your skill decides the outcome and not your abilty to push buttons. (I fully agree with you on the spear thing tho) "*this is not the way to go about making the combat system harder*". Any ideas then? and don't mention the cheap levelling system in Unity. "*SOME THINGS A PLAIN CRIMINAL TO CHANGE*". AC is a video game franchise, not a hallowed religion. If something's rubbish (like the combat) then it should be removed (or tweaked at the very least) in favour of making a better game. Replacing the combat system doesn't make this game any less worthy of the AC brand. If AC is all about braindead combat designed to give the player an artificial sense of empowerment, perhaps it needs to die. Ofc, what it really needs to do is grow up. It seems to be doing just that. Perhaps you should do the same. I don't know what demented corner of the AC 'fandom' you crawled out from but most gamers I encounter are sick to death of the braindead combat system and haven't bought a new game since III. Change is good.
jesus christ, calm down @alexander trenfield lmfao it was my observation I've played every single ac game and have been a huge fan, this combat system is even less realistic than before, at least when you stabbed someone with a spear in previous ac games they actually died.
horizon its not thaaat good, everyone loves it ( like they did with last of us ) i am playing and its a " fine" game, nier automata is waaaay better my friends, not the graphics , but overall, still goty
