Leo R - I got mine for completing 1 of the papyrus scrolls! Though you could also get this from a Heka chest, I dont think there is a specific mission you get granted this item. Its been a long time😌 🙏

I tried the Reinforced for a bit. But yeah, nothing beats this one. The bleed also helps a lot against crowds. More so, since I rarely use the Parry - though it's a very useful mechanic is used well, the health/adrenaline on parry on some of the others don't help much.

The best shield is actually the shield you get when you defeat Anubis. It gives you more health than the Compendium, and on top of that, it has sleep on block

I personally prefer the Djosers Pride, because for me ranged resistance is not that important, but melee is. Oh and that sleep on block is SO GOOD

Okay, I just ran into a spectacular glitch doing this. I finished in Kyrenaika, saved Kade, picked up the Good Roman quest, and met with Vitruvius(or however it's spelled). But when the cutscene with the egyptian worker and the heavy guard started, Vitruvius's voice wasn't there at all. He spent the entire cutscene mouthing at the guard, and then it jumped to him and Bayek standing staring at each other and saying nothing. After a minute, I had no choice but to skip that "cutscene" and when I had control again, it automatically failed both Playing With Fire AND the Good Roman! I reset them in the quest menu and it seems okay now, but it's still something to be aware of.

Select one of the failed quests and reset the objective, and both should be fine. I still got the shield after all.

Mine did the same thing. I turned on subtitles after that, but I had no idea what was going on with Vitruvius. I just finished this side mission about 3 days after completing the main story.

Wow same with me but mine is worst... after that cutscene with the guards I just found Vitruvius' corpse lying on the ground in front of Bayek and I can't do anything except press and hold the skip button, after I skipped I failed the two missions then retried and everything went fine... (was tracking playing with fire quest that time)

The shield that puts enemies to sleep is currently my favorite shield, I have this one too but I just thought it was alright. Sleep though makes for insta kills in fights.

Also whats your favorite weapon class? Im having a tough time in selecting my weapons for combat.. I just stick on to the dual swords atm

I just completed this mission 2 days ago after I was finished with the main story and have already been playing at Level 40 for about a week. My first two attempts, Agrippa easily killed me (on normal difficulty) while I only was only able to get half his health through one-on-one combat (I assassinated all other soldiers in the vicinity first). I finally defeated him on the third attempt by hitting him with the mounted crossbow a few times before he came after me and I took him out with an overpowered attack. I didn't take note of Agrippa's level at the time, but I'm pretty sure it was much higher than 33. Are mission levels determined by when you start the mission, or are all missions designed at a set power level? Also, this is only the 2nd type of legendary shield that I've acquired. The first 3 times I acquired a legendary shield, it was Djoser's Pride each time.

Got this shield today but honestly I don't like the look of it with the Isu Armor. I prefer how the one circular shield you get from one of the final Phylakes instead especially since the perk gives it that smokey effect. This shield looks like it fits better with a Roman or samurai outfit but that's just me...

the best shield is the one your can get from the trial from god. this compendium can be bought on Memphis after you unlock the assassin's store . and you can get from captains from lvl 40

Arrows only do critical amounts of damage if they're quite a bit higher level than the player but melee damage resistance and absorption in my opinion is better but this is just my opinion so think how you will towards it

This is my second time around redoing the game from the beginning and the first go-round I did receive the COMPENDIUM SHIELD, finished all 4 elephants, all GODS CHALLENGES etc . . . . . On the 2nd game I am currently a Level 40+ . I have completed 96 quests - but when I completed THE GOOD ROMAN the architect just went about his business. He never went to the next quest and I have not gotten the PLAYING WITH FIRE QUEST. I have already completed the KYRENAIKA ROMAN CITADEL site so is it possible that since I completed and cleared that location of the Captains and Commander site BEFORE the GOOD ROMAN quest that I will never get the PLAYING WITH FIRE QUEST because the CAPTAIN that you get the SHIELD from is already dead??? Looking forward to the new additions to the game. I have spent many hours this last part of 2017 with all parts of ASSASSINS CREED ORIGINS and HORIZON ZERO DAWN . . looking forward to more of both . . . By the way I am far from A KID . . born during WWII and US NAVY Vietnam Veteran if that tells you anything . . . . .

Honestly, Muts Sorrow is better imo, it’s bigger, I only use it to block arrows because parrying is easy, it’s ranged resistance is better than most shields in the game

my fave shield in the game is "Remission". The one you get while doing that "son of Ra" quest. It is a perfect balance of decent blockage, and it still matches most outfits. Not as flashy, but still with that bronze sheen.

Hello. Really like your where to get videos. Have been very helpful. Thanks. But have a question. Was playing assassins creed origins today, was in the middle of the desert. Headed to a stone circle, in the sky I saw a huge flaming comet or space ship, or something. It was meant to be seen. Camera view took control and made me look at it. Tried to find if it landed. I got the shield by taking a tunnel and getting to the courtyard, where i saw the general, used a predator arrow to draw him to the room that was two levels above the tunnel, there i got him to the bottom level and fought him there, maybe one or two guards came with him but they were on the level above him, when he got to the bottom level, i was hanging off the edge, there i tried a assassination, but we know that would fail, but once on the bottom level, it was pretty easy.

Dustin Monk so it's actually a part of the main story. If you go back to the farm and continue the main quest, it will prompt you to go back and talk to overseer at the aqueducts. Then you can go back to the fort and kill the general.

I know, right. But I think in conclusion this is better in most situations, as enemies crowd a lot when in big fights. The bleed really helps. I rarely use parry, tho it's a good mechanic - so it depends on play style.

Sleep is the worst i have a staff with sleep on it n iv never seen it proc, perhaps its a stagger or somthing but i assumed it would make them wall dowm and go to sleep until u hit them and work them up! With a staff spamming r1 in overpower u do like10 hits in 3 sec it should proc at least once

Adrian Placencio no You need to reach a certain story mission Only then the play with fire quest will start I discovered the red mountain but play with fires wasnt there I did the good roman quest but then no quest Try and do the main story at the point when you got to travel to the green mountains region Do the quest then the play with fire quest will activate automaticly

Same. I did “the good Roman, and instead of asking me to follow the dude, we just told each other we wanna kiss basically and the quest ended. No general to kill or citadel or anything..

Hey so I just got the "playing with fire"quest, but I have already completed the quest "good Roman ". Am I unable to get the shield to spawn now?

You can get the shield when you complete the “playing with fire” mission. There’s no “Good Roman” mission after the rescue mission. FYI

The Medusa shield is pretty good too

Phalangite shield is better. It has 924 HP and poison on block.

I don't agree personally. Maybe the HP is higher but the Ranged res is only level 2, adrenaline on parry is okay, but I personally don't parry a lot (prefer dodge) and it's harder to pull off. This shield is better imo.

Lol Hp is useless when i'm using cursed weapon. Pairing your cursed weapon with this shield is the best way to go.

I give up on trying to get this Shield. I've already done the good Roman Quest and I did the playing with fire Quest so I give up. Fuck that Shield. I'm just getting a bunch of mixed messages from a bunch of people saying how to get the shield.
