Game in Italy, play as an italian Game in France, play as Frenchman Game in Norway, play as norseman Game set in America, play as native American Game set in Greece, play as greekman Game set in Japan, play as a black man.....
@@sharingangaming9954 If they do an assassin's creed in Egypt, would you be annoyed if the main character was a greek person? I mean, the greek's were there and for a long while actually in charge. But we both know that everyone would be expecting to play as Egyptians in the game based around Egypt, just like people were expecting to play as Japanese characters in this. It would be like if you played as Captain America for half of a spider man game. Yeah, he's also in Marvel, but that's not what people are coming to the game for.
@@Raeqwon17historian are not sure if Yasuke is a Samurai or not, why can't they just choose someone who's history is solid..., i wanna play as a legendary samurai in feudal Japan
@@zombie12098We know that he was not a samuria, what we do know, from writings of the time......he arrived with the Jesuits, the Jesuits gave him to Nobunaga, which means that he was a slave, Nobunaga made him undress and rub it to see if it was really that color, and he was Nobunaga's servant. To be a samurai you had to study for decades...Yasuke was in Japan for approximately 3 years...he didn't even have time to learn the language properly...not forgetting the most important thing, the Japanese of the time were extremely nationalists, not even jokingly would they give a foreigner the title of samuria....that would be a dishonor.
@@Raeqwon17 There was not. He was treated like a monkey in the zoo. "Look what kind of peculiar banjin (barbarian) I bought." That was THE position of Yasuke in Japan.
Well you will have to wait, amazing how you still waiting for their games, they lost me with Valhalla, I did play the free trial of Mirage, it was ok I guess, but Ubi lost their essence🤷♂️
Right! We definitely need a part 2 because I wanna know what happened when or if the mongols invaded Japan. There is definitely much to expand upon for GOT2!
@@mateohodge6998 But he was not a samurai. He wasn’t even a bushi. He was given the rank of kosho, a servant. He was an arms bearer, who carried the weapons for samurai.

History is unclear whether he was ever made a Samurai or if that was ever Nobunaga's intention, but considering he was definitely given his own wakizashi and was a weapon bearer, and Nobunaga loved making foreigners Samurai, it would have been likely
@@Unni951 Even that is better not to take risky steps and ordering it ends up like Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. I pre-ordered it from game stop and I had to sell it off after a very boring month.
i don't know how AC games work in general but isn't Mirage like relatively new still? i will wait for gameplay vids before ordering it (i think there are a few yet but i haven't watched them)
Its mad that it took Ghosts of Tsushima for them to finally do what people have been asking for! Finally Assassins creed set in Japan. Still, its ubisoft.. better keep expectations in check
It's going to be a heavily romanticized version of Yusuke. He was a retainer for Oda, but the game is probably gonna show him as some glorious samurai.
@@BleakDay People care about the game trying to push an agenda, they use the only black man in all of feudal Japan's history and center the game around him, when there are so many other legendary and REAL samurais that lived in the same era, they instead need to use that one black guy and turn him into a samurai because we need to push this idea that a black man came to Japan and revolutionized everything and became a legendary samurai. It's just like if humans from the future portrayed Elon Musk as some type of Tony Stark who had his own Iron Man suits and changed the world with his technology.
@@lochlannach7 Did you complain this much when AC did exactly that with completely fictional characters in the previous games? No? Then sit down, no one wants to hear your double standards.
@@mattandrews2594 You said it yourself, they were fictional characters, not real historical figures who were changed to be something greater that they never actually were. Yasuke has kept as a retainer by Oda Nobunaga because he looked like a novelty in the middle of Japan, he never saw a tall black man before, so he thought he would keep him as a personal retainer. That is completely different from a samurai. Also, there is a problem with your argument, Ubisoft wasn't trying to force any DEI in their older games, those were times where entertainment actually tried to entertain, rather than lecture the audience, virtue signal or bend history just to score some Internet points and cash in on ESG money. Ubisoft has made clear that they are absolutely all about diversity, equity and inclusion, so don't be surprised when people criticize them for forcing this stuff.
Yyeah exactly like Tom cruise in the last samurai. The glorious savior of the last samurai. Crazy how the last samurai statue in Japan is actually Japanese and not tom cruise. At the end of the day it's fiction. No assassins creed has ever been accurate. So at the end of the day. Get over it.
Gamers: “Can we have GOT 2?” Ubisoft: “Well we don’t know why you’re asking us that, seeing how Sucker Punch made GOT. We are making an Assassin’s Creed game in Japan actually, but an actual GOT sequel is being made by Sucker Punch.”
Its a ubisoft original. So you you will own it. If you talking about the crew licensed that they do not own. Then yeah you can see that game being removed
Ubisoft will never match or surpass the quality Sucker Punch, From Software and Team Ninja delivered with Ghost of Tsushima, Sekiro, Nioh and Rise of the Ronin
@@darkx1172he said quality!!! And It doesn’t sells better that games from software and sucker punch, I don’t know about team ninja but bro don’t be delusional
Why would they? It's not an online game that requires multiplayer, that's what The Crew was, and it shut down, so without online services it's unplayable.
The funny thing about this game is what will they be fighting for. Is it for justice for Nobunaga even though he beheaded men, women and children to unify Japan? Or will or be against him, which goes against not only Yasuke’s history but Mitsuhide, Oda’s killer, made Yasuke a slave again soon after.
@@TravcospGeorge Washington didn't fight alongside with Natives, Leonardo didn't assist an organization of assassin's and Pythagoras didn't live to be 150 years either. Funny how people, all of the sudden want historical accuracy in AC games. Does that also mean Connor from AC3 is a product of tokenism? Pretty sure a half Native American wouldn't have the status to directly speak with George Washington and help influence the tide of the war.
@@ceebailzbut he wasn't a samurai there is very little known about him as he wasn't very important to Japanese history, they gave him a sword to make him look more scary and probably had him do feats of strength in the presence of others just for show
@@Travcospeven on Wikipedia before this trailer it stated not much is known about him at all, after the trailer dropped they went on there and changed it to he was a samurai 😂
Didn't this franchise use to be about experiencing the memories of your ancestors to do stuff in the present like beat up knights or find God's Apples or something?
.... It still is.... However the Animus has evolved.. you no longer need one person to unlock their memories.. You just need a strand of their DNA... Clearly you didnt pay attention to the last 4 AC games
"who was it that did this?" "the only black man in all of Japan, he works as a servant for Oda Nobunaga" Come on guys, this is silly. Just stick with the unknown Shinobi and have a couple of missions that involve Yasuke as the middleman between her and Oda Nobunaga.
Just because a black guy was involved (not even a samurai) it doesn't mean that you make him a protagonist in an era where they are completely irrelevant.
@@somkhandagumbi Would be nice if the DLC focus solely on that woman's ancestor who met Altair and became his apprentice. That would be a great way to have him in the game.
Come on! You can’t expect Ubisoft to care THAT much about fans. Just pay the $150 for the mega deluxe version with the extra hat skin in it and be happy for the content.
You mean like every game? Do you say that about every deluxe edition or just Ubisoft because it’s the cool thing to do and think you’re cool for doing it?

Ah, how splendid! The game features a black character and a woman as its main protagonists-both epitomes of political correctness. This choice alone could easily earn the game a perfect score of 1000 in the eyes of some. However, for someone like me, who views such decisions with a hint of skepticism, I'd reserve such high praise only if I were a shapeshifter, capable of altering my perceptions at will.
@@neonpirych1566 who said anything about that? I'm talking about this new one! Though I on other hand, been waiting for those Ubisoft and Assassin Creed teams to make this game goes to the Japanese settings! 😆
I've been waiting for this game for YEARS. I don't care that it's like Ghost of Tsushima. We finally got a Japanese-oriented Assassin's Creed game. I must have it. I haven't played an Assassin's Creed game in YEARS.
This is the right direction taken by Ubisoft. Ghost of Tsushima is already there. Instead of copy pasting it, they are doing different stuff. So we have two unique games.
We finally get another samurai game and they have to go and make the main character black. Ffs. And no he wasnt a samurai. He was only given a sword for his service.
