This just made me want to replay black flag but also I need a sequel... I need more Edward, he was a character who could've had a trilogy like Ezio, such a missed opportunity
+Флоріан Фанта yes his later life lot of adventures that are not uncovered. after aciv he established assassin brotherhood in london, imagine edward like ezio in acbrotherhood. not just that he travelled around the world extensively post game and collect pieces of eden such as shroud of eden so how did he find that?
honestly it could've been perfect, the second game could have been him in London, training to become a proper Assassin, being a more traditional, city style Assassin game, and the third game could have been when he travelled the world in search for Pieces of Eden, going back to the exploration style gameplay of Black Flag. Ubisoft are blind to have missed out on what could have been one of the best trilogies ever made!
The life of Edward Kenway is so sad: his father-in-law despised him, his wife left him (later died), all his friends died (some by his hand) in front of him, his parents (particularly his mother) disowned him for being a killer, they then died, his daughter later despised him (so much that she would not use his last name) and he was murdered, with that event causing Haytham to become a Templar. What is sadder to the fact is that Edward was teaching Haytham to be an Assassin. The life of Edward Kenway is indeed a sad one.
The Flamebolt Edward, though with great loss, ultimately succeeded. Connor's only true goal was to protect his people. His suffered greatly, including killing his own unloving father. In the end, though he beat the Templars, he ultimately lost and failed. Connor's life is also a sad one.
cool to see someone who doesn't think ezio games are the best like nearly all the fanbase does, AC4 has always been my favourite game in the franchise and I enjoyed AC3 a lot but did get boring in some aspects and AC1 although repetitive had unique assassination targets and of course great narrative as for all of them.
Red Paint Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed AC2, Brotherhood and Revelations but felt that it lacked what AC1 had and the other games continued to do. AC2 felt like it lacked depth in its narrative. Brotherhood was a step in the right directions but the antagonist was terribly done and pacing still felt off. Revelations was more refined but the pacing still had a couple of issues. Although none of this wouldn't even problem for me if everything was told in AC2 instead of takinf 3 games to refined Ezio as a character I've come to enjoy.
yeah i love them too and the points you made were good i think they are great fun especially brotherhood just free roaming is awesome and the side quests. AC2 is a bit overrated with the narrative and i think it is a bit naive to say Unity has the worst as a lot of people would say when they are both centred around revenge stories. I guess the way they are told AC2 wins but still and imho i have mixed feelings about revelations narrative had pacing issues, Byzantine story was very lacking, and something about the game sorta felt off in a disappointing way i'm not quite sure. (also don't get why people hate den defence, it's harmless and you use it once) but i loved the ending, the soundtrack was absolutely incredible and the way they fleshed out Altair was great. I also think Edward is pretty underrated because to me his quite easily the best, never has a game like AC4 blown me away with the character growth in Edward and also the supporting cast. Every character grew throughout every scene (most of the time) and it felt like they all played a key role to the narrative and were never wasted.
AC Ezio Trilogy is my favorite. I loved the story for Black Flag but I didn't play it all the way trough because of the ships sucked. So I just watched a let's play. AC3 is my 4th favorite AC game I loved the ending to Desmond's story
Guys, I think you're more videogames than books, but you should try to read every single Assassin's Creed books from Oliver Bowden. They're just fantastic, if you"re more "narrative/story" than "fight" cuz the book gives rly interessting informations about Edward, Haytham etc.."s story that you didn't heard about yet :)
@Al Strider Yup Forsaken is really good. About Edward... the book acutally made me like the character. I didnt like him in the game. And Unity wasnt bad as well.
Très beau tribute. J'aurai ajouté ça parce que j'adore la phrase : For years I've been rushing around, taking whatever I fancied, not giving a tinker's curse for those I hurt. Yet here I am... with riches and reputation, feeling no wiser than when I left home. Yet when I turn around, and look at the course I've run... there's not a man or woman that I love left standing beside me.
hats off to mr kenway hats off to game .just a brilliant game made by ubisoft after Prince of Persia series but now ubisoft are only focusing on damn games further they should continue pop 2008 and ac series except unity and syndicate all storylines were the best . thanks to this channel
The best Assassin's creed protagonist ever created. Ubisoft really got it right this time. Wish they would've made a trilogy as they did with Ezio. I have not played Rogue, but I've heard it is an amazing game.
A good hearted man, with the spirit of an outlaw. Shame he spent most of his life chasing coin. Someone like Edward Kenway wanting to save the world, there's no measure what he would've accomplished.
Everyone always says Ezio is there favorite but to me it has to be Edward. I think he is who I would strive to want to be. A short life but a marry one!
I am so glad you pointed that because I was beginning to think no else appreciated Edward as a character. It was like every time I checked to see what character people like and they always say Ezio. Not to say Ezio is not a great character but I preferred the care free antics of Edward.
Great work but, at the end of AC4 he makes a mends with everything, but in your tribute you ended it on Edward still being selfish.....other then that well done:)
I love Edward Kenway! This is my first AC game and *SPOILER* I just got to the part where Mary dies ... I actually cried while carrying her 😢 ... and then went on a swift killing spree throughout Kingston to avenge her
