Tynamite! You are the only streamer/youtuber/content creator that knows and understands the true AC lore and it hurts that not even Ubisoft doesnt understand it as the hardcore fans do. Hopefully we will get more modern day/templars vs. assassins/first civ storyline in the next games. And im talking about a 70% past day, 30% present day amount of time. I rly like the idea of time and the node/code theory, hopefully our minds will be blown like in previous AC games. Keep it up!!

I’ve always been a staunch defender of the modern day aspect of Assassins Creed, from Desmond and onward. Although I didn’t like what Unity and Syndicate did, I still supported it in hopes the modern day would get better. I was wrong. Modern day sucks now, they put all of the important stuff in the comics like killing off Juno, Desmond’s son, and how Layla became the leader of a small team of Assassins. I’m just ready to drop it all together. The comics have taken out an antagonist built up in the games since AC III, introduced the child of a fan favorite character, and have made Layla even less interesting by pushing all of her development to the side by placing them in the comics rather than the games.

To me, it kind of looks like the series is aiming to reboot itself. Getting rid of Isu and their artifacts, changing time. Probably getting rid of the Animus as well, as it seems like the big portion of fanbase does not like modern day story and all "Animus stuff". Changes in direction and gameplay would also suggest that Ubisoft wants to reboot the series.

I don't know if anyone else saw it differently but when I heard the "Break the code. Break the node" my first thought was that if Layla can figure out the code of time and find out how to use the animus to see Isu memories, she can find an instance where someone purposefully made it where a human couldn't be controlled. She could them use that information to find a way to reprogram human minds so they can no longer be controlled by and use Pieces of Eden. It would make the modern day story super important if there was a way to make humans who were previously easily controlled into people who could resist PoE effects
@dillanphillips8211
@dillanphillips8211 5 лет назад
1. If the Isu could re-write reality, why didn’t they save themselves from destruction, it couldn’t be because the staff required the Animus and it would allow it, because the memory seals from Revelations functioned basically the same way as an Animus 2. If the staff prevented aging from when it was wielded than why did Alexios drop dead almost immediately after letting go of it, and would allow him to age normally 3. Maybe Isu had something equivalent to Meta Genes (like DC comics) and how when Juno made a reference to the Isu having 6 senses to a Humans 5, maybe it allowed them to see into the future

LOL "magical animus", there you have it. It's up to layla to do what the much more highly evolved species couldn't with her superior portable animus. She's waaay more special than desmond ever was. His important ancestors also never mattered. It's all about random twin Spartan warriors/mercenaries who lived the same life.

With the staff it only pauses your aging, but at the same time you are still aging you just do not die and as long as the staff is in your possession your body will not wear and age. As you can see when Kassandra/Alexios hands the staff over their bodies age almost immediately as their body immediately ages to...well...how old they are. This is my theory and from what I understand and take from it.

Altough the idea of neither Chaos or Orden must win over the other is interesting, I can't stop thinking that most of that concept reduce a little the epicness feeling of what we've been building since the first AC. Is like every Assassin and Templar have done everything wrong and for nothing. Here comes someone special that will restore the balance and that must be the correct answer... I guess at the end of the day the Assassins and Templars will be history, but I prefer the Assassins being the correct answer but that's just my opinion.

Tynamite Is this the perfect time to bring back the "Prince Of Persia : Assassin " game , In AC Odyssey , There was flashbacks of Leonidas and the spartan army fighting against "persians" So that makes an AC game taking a place in Persia possible , And since POP games were all about manipulating time , Layla may be able to break the node with the help of assassin Prince and his time controlling items like the dagger and the amulet which they can be changed into pieces of Eden , This may work perfectly , Prince was able to control time like it was nothing and through POP games we could see all the possibilities how to manipulate time , Just imagine how this can be bigger in the AC world where Layla entering the animus as Prince and control the events of the story through manipulating time and trying to make the best choices to succeed in the task of breaking the node

I don't like this character, she looks acts and sounds like a product of the politically correct "girl power" movements, she has no flaws and is guaranteed a grand destiny. Im not saying Desmond was a good character, but unlike Layla he had flaws, he started as an average Joe with some interesting ancestry, learned the skills of the assassins through Ezio sure but he didn't become a tech wizard or a history nerd, everyone had a role in the team. Layla just does it all, cell leader, tech wizard, historian to a certain extent, she can fight because of the bleeding effect, and worst of all she gets the grand destiny without even being related to the Misthios. She can be a good character, but she has to let go of that perfection the writers gave her. She has to make mistakes at some point or she will be a far more dull character than Connor or Arnaud.

To be fair, cause I don't disagree with you, but she kinda has made one "minor" mistake. In Origins, when she was in Egypt with... Her business partner? I can't remember her name, but anyway, Layla was using the animus and her partner kept warning her she was spending too much time in the animus, uncovering too much, perfecting tech to an extreme level that the Templars noticed and were coming for her. She warned Layla again and again and begged her to be more careful, to spend less time in the animus and even relocate their operation. Layla straight up refused and didn't listen and the result was the death of her partner when Abstergo truly did find her in the cave in Egypt. Layla did make a mistake, one that cost her partner her life, but overall in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really feel consequential. Layla still is a forced, poorly written Marry Sue designed solely for minority representation.

I hope Layla marks the end for this group of Victoria, Williams etc. In the lead up to Origins, Ash kept saying that they'd been listening to the community about modern day. I think by this he meant that the next modern day would have playable, 3rd person gameplay, which it did. The end in Origins definitely showed some potential, but Odyssey trashed it. The mention of Desmond's son in Syndicate means they will show him more soon, that's just Ubisofts way with AC. So imagine if Desmond's son was an ancestor of Bayek and was the main character for the modern day in a Bayek sequel, meaning Bayek had another kid which would lead to an interesting event in the story (maybe he loses control of himself, and takes it out by making a baby lol). And with that, he is able to relive his memories for real. Also, if there is another game with Bayek, then it would take place when Octavian/Augustus, Mark Antony and Cleopatra, and other Roman generals were in civil war. Augustus is the leader of the order of the ancients, but seems to have won the end according to history, as he became the first and most successful emperor of the Roman Empire. It would be very interesting to show how effective a 'templar' can be, and will be an interesting internal conflict for Bayek throughout the game. While he is becoming an old man, and Augustus is rising to fame, Bayek will have to deal with the uncertainty of the creed living on, and Augustus and the order of the ancients succeeding. Maybe Desmond's son is torn between who's philosophy is right throughout the game as well. Of course, Amunet apparently kills Cleopatra in ~30bc, even after Cleopatra and Mark Antony lose Rome to Augustus, I would be very intested in how Ash's team would spin that, and if the slim chance of darby helping with the writing is true, then I would be confident that he would make it very compelling and different to Ezio's sequel.
@joncarpenter-smith9801
@joncarpenter-smith9801 5 лет назад
If Desmond's son is related to Bayek, it would be through his mum. If Bayek and Aya got back together in the future and had another child. Then he would be related to Alexios, Kassandra, Leonidas, Darius and Elpidios. And through Desmond he would be related to Altaïr, Ezio, Edward, Haytham and Connor. I hope this happens but it's Ubisoft so it probably won't. (But they did add the "Callum is related to Arno" thing which was nice)

So basically, the link between Origins and Odyssey is that in Origins Layla casually found the mommies of Bayek and Aya and witnessed the birth of the hidden ones but all that doesn’t matter what matters is the messages from Alethia so that Layla went in the search of the staff of Hermes to stop a new end of the world. And during the investigation Layla again casually found the book of Herodotus, the spear of Leonidas and the DNA of Kassandra. So the present story of Origins and Odyssey are basically casualties?

How can this company expect us to take this game seriously by throwing in stupid shit like that. If ezio ever met desmond wearing a suit the series would have been finished years ago. For some reason the people who liked this game let stupid things like that slide because it's not a real AC anymore.

I really don’t like the direction the modern day is going in. First, they end the Juno arch built up since the ending of AC III, then they throw it all away just to rehash the “oh the world is going to end from an apocalyptic disaster” storyline straight from the Desmond games this time with an uninteresting protagonist who they push all development and growth into the comics because money! Odyssey was really the final nail in the coffin for me. In order to stop the rehashed plot, Layla needs to actually physically change the past through the animus like it’s a Tardis, and in order to do that, the characterless protagonist from Odyssey, who has been alive all these years, sorry CENTURIES, comes before Layla and gives her a magical staff that will make her immortal telling her that she’s the ultimate key to balancing the force, or whatever, with the worst insult being both assassins and Templars are wrong, and that all the pieces of Eden need to be destroyed afterwards(which will depend on whether Ubisoft wants to continue making money on this franchise or not. But who am I kidding they could make an entirely different game like Odyssey call it assassins creed and still make a ton of money!).

Altair lived like 99 years, in his time the life expectancy was for 60 or 80 if you're lucky. So when Altair left the apple in it's vault, he started to slowly dying of old age.

The world building here just comes across as so weak. It might not necessarily the content, or at least the content isn't completely responsible for making it look and feel like that, it's mostly how these concepts and ideas are presented. It's just spoonfed exposition told to us in a boring melodramatic dialogue sequence instead of an actual mysterious puzzle or even enabling us to initiate these Isu prophecies, instead of just sitting here waiting for the next big thing to come along as we pointlessly traverse these historic time periods. These modern-day stories are lack luster and I can't be fucked anymore to care, if they want to make games completely based in history, just do it already.

Question: it is brought up in Odyssey that different timeliness will eventually end up in nodes, making certain events unavoidable. This idea fascinates me. Does anyone here know any (scientific) work on this subject? I would love to delve in this a bit more.

I think that ubisoft are trying to portray the isu as interfering and causing problems, so that when they remove the isu from the game people don't care as much. Look at how they finished the juno story off which had been built up in 4 games. The reason they are doing this is so that they can adapt the game to be fit better with the RPG genre because RPG games are very popular and make large amounts of money

I think layla will change time freaky Friday style The staff of hermes along with her animus will allow her to truly take control of assassin's in the past like she is literally in their body in time not just the simulation. A bit crazy and probably won't happen but it'd be pretty cool

Just a thought but just as there are nodes of time, being unchangeable, maybe there are roles a d people who are nodes, like Desmond being the node for stopping Juno and saving the Earth, and like nodes many simulations spawn of from it, so what if the choice that saved the Earth but killed him left his node incomplete which led the node to be transferred to others, Charlotte de la Cruze to complete Juno's Death node and Layla Hassan for the Isu History/Great Catastrophe Node

She provided the balance between Chaos and Order. Throughout all her life. Essentially she was the reason why neither Templars and Assassins definitely won. She worked behind the scenes to ensure that, until Layla comes along I guess.

@esiokles7623
@esiokles7623 3 года назад
Aletheia isn't evil. She and Loki truly believe in equality between humans and Isu. Layla and Desmond are looking for a permanent solution to save the world. That's what Aletheia wanted and to reunite with Loki and their children which doesn't contradict what she said in Odyssey. Obviously we can't say for certain but I think that she and Loki are on our side.
