I am so in love with this game! I've completed it now after about 140 hours on PS4. Only main part I can't complete is Asgard as there's a bug with the Defensive Measures mission, waiting for them to fix it. Great video, this game really blew me away, definitely my favourite game of 2020. I played female Eivor and she was just so badass and awesome 👌

I just spent the past 50 hours playing this game. Thats why I only got a chance to come watch this now! Fantastic game and a fantastic walkthrough. You are the king of gaming walk-throughs. Really keeping my fingers crossed that you do a Cyberpunk 2077 walkthrough when it comes out! PS would love to see you do one of the England side of the game too! Though Ubisoft really did do a great job on their snow landscapes as well.

The effects of the deep snow moving/seeming to get plowed out of the way by Eovir's footsteps was supremely satisfying to see. If you don't make a point to lift your feet up that is the exact way snow gets moved around if you have more than a few inches of fresh powder.

Excellent video, Nick! It has stunning graphics although I wish Ubi would innovate on the gameplay design. AC1 was fresh and interesting, on each new entry they seem to streamline and simplify the gameplay to a point where it seems kind of stale after a while. Lookin' forward to your next vid though, keep up the good work!

I feel like Ubi really pushed things in a fresh direction with Origins, and expanded meaningfully on that in Odyssey, but I concede that Valhalla does feel a bit like more of the same. That's not a bad thing in my books, but hopefully they make some more significant changes to the formula with the next entry!

How do you feel about female Eivor's performance? I picked male Eivor, but he has had a lackluster performance so far. I expected him to be a little more rugged like how female Eivor seems to be. I am gonna try switching to her and hope that she nails the roll better.

Truth! It's been a real trooper OC'd at 4.4 GHz all-core for YEARS now, playing hundreds of games and rendering hundreds of videos without complaint. But soon it'll be time for it to retire, my Ryzen 5950X is on the way! The ol' 4770K has certainly earned its rest.

I want to play Valhalla. I loved Odyssey a lot played over 100 hours. Surprised you picked female Eivor. I thought most guys would pick male for the whole beard thing. I'll probably pick female Eivor because she's pretty cool and maybe also because I'm a girl. Kassandra was pretty cool too gonna a miss her.

I get so confused, I see people running games I play on the highest settings at 60fps, I have an RTX 2080 and an i7-10700k and can’t run max settings at 1080p and hit 60fps. It’s not because of bloat ware or thermal throttling I just don’t get it

I replied to a similar comment elsewhere, but the title may be slightly clickbaity. On my hardware, the game rarely ever hits 60 FPS on Ultra. It hovers around 45 FPS, and occasionally plunges lower.

I just finished downloading this today! Going through the first five levels with just my fists due to a challenge I issued a friend and him back at me. This is already one of the best looking AC games to come out though Origins and Odyssey are right there with it!

Copying from another reply: I average 44 FPS in the benchmark, and in-game it's anywhere from high 30s to low 50s. So it's not ideal, but it's playable. I've got an RTX 3080 on backorder and a Ryzen 5950X coming any day now, so hopefully I won't have to slum it with sub-60 FPS for too much longer!

By tolerating low-ish framerates haha. I average 44 FPS in the benchmark, and in-game it's anywhere from high 30s to low 50s. So it's not ideal, but it's playable. I've got a 3080 on backorder, so hopefully I won't have to slum it with sub-60 FPS for too much longer!

These guys from Montreal should know that you don't walk in the snow like that. The character is a snowplow, it's very funny. I just went to see why it didn't bother me on rdr2. It is much better mastered, more realistic. They added a nice powdery effect, each leg makes its own trail and the snow is pushed back, it doesn't magically disappear like here. Finally, the snow is high enough in rdr2 not to be able to lift the knees

I think at 3 games in, they're just hitting the point of diminishing returns with the modern AC (post-Origins) formula. I think Valhalla is a great refinement of that formula, but I would like to see them do something a bit bolder next time out!
