@@borntorazehell777 that's hard to say because most games get really good optimization before a console release. I'd say in raw power it's about a 2080s but in actual game performance it can probably reach 3070 levels of performance

@@gooddoc8129 the vast majority of console games run some form of vsync, tearing shouldn't be an issue. On pc, you have a ton of options for vsync. Freesync is of course an option (you'll need to tinker with your gpu control panel). I've been using the baked in vsync in valhalla and it's been perfectly fine. No tearing, no input lag that I can notice.

hmm but only 3-4 FPS difference from the very lowest to the highest possible, also some other graphical things only couple of FPS more/less. I see no reason why they wouldnt (mean games in general like Dirt5 and all others) add it to PC and SS/SX consooles...... sure, SS/SX might lose some FPS (like in Dirt5, there is the biggest difference between SX and PS5) but it could look better overall than how it is now considering only little FPS drop for those who want graphics over performance. I mean, more options are always welcome...... on consoles, especially on PS3/x360 and older you had no choices for 99% of the games but now, in 95% + console games you can change settings.

You still have to buy a motherboard, CPU, PSU, case, RAM, K&M, SSD (and an expensive one if you want anywhere close to the performance of a PS5's), etc. So sure, if cost isn't a factor in any way, you can surely do better. But price to performance, you're not building a PC with any of the GPU's from this new generation that will get close to PS5.

Its pretty impressive, especially considering the Ps4 and Xbox One were being bested by the 750ti in some cases back when those systems released.

The rtx 3060 ti is at or better than the PS5 especially at ray tracing for £369 now.

I don't know of anyone in the pc space who cares about TFlops, it's all about the fps and settings at different resolutions, for example the new rtx 3080 and 3090 don't scale well at 1080p and 1440p and excel at 4k and above compared to the 2080 ti that scaled well at all resolutions. The architecture changed a lot.

If it's full RDNA 2, why is the XSX so low clocked (1825), while all the RDNA 2 GPUs are over 2.2GHz (like the PS5) and can OC up to 2.8GHz? Hm? They are comparing it to a last gen gpu , within a month or so there will be 250-300 $ graphics cards that will perform the same as the 600$ rtx 2080 , considering the fact that a 3060 ti is faster than 2080 super so it will not be surprising to see a 300-350$ 3060 outperforming the rtx 2080 , those cards will be the appropriate rivals to the ps5 performance .

Games like God of War, Uncharted 4, Last of us 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn look insanely good on the og PS4 which is like 1.8 Tera flops lol, the PS5 is about 4-5 times faster than the ps4, I expect a huge revolution in graphics, environments, character models and many other areas, however I doubt if we will see that difference in this early in the PS5's life cycle because the PS4 still holds the largest player base by huge margin and developers will still release and optimize games for it until probably 2022 which might effect the PS5 version in a negative way, I hope that I'm wrong and we see a true generational leap with the upcoming games.

That usually happens at first and isn't that unusually but what surprised me is that they compared a new gen console to last gen PC gpu hardware, it would make much more sense to compare to the new gen PC hardware which is much faster, especially when the 3060ti performs like a 2080ti and we should also remember that ray tracing and DLSS wasn't used here, the gap widens a lot in the PC favour when those are used, so much so that even a 2060 super cards beats the new consoles as we saw with Watch Dog Lagoon. So don't get me wrong, these consoles are not bad but considering the 3060ti is £370 when you can get hold of them at that price and the performance that offers, it's making these new consoles feel dated already, how bad is it going to be in 1 years once price slashing kicks in and the stock issues are out of the way?

So they are actually making the tests with the current pc gpus gen in my opinion. Also, no, at their launch consoles don't show their full potential and or capabilities as developers have to be more familiar with the new hardware and adjust their work on them. So later next year we will see even bigger and better performance and after 4 years there will come their "pro" versions which will also have even more increased performances. Will they ever outperform PCs? That's for the future to show but at this point, I'm looking at a corporation that shows eagerness (in various ways) to meet even more customer demands, mainly the pc gamers. Just by looking at the console you can clearly see it's designed as a futuristic pc tower. They have started releasing their exclusives on Steam. And so on. The fact alone that we are here, in this channel, watching another video of people comparing this console with a pc, is saying much. Again, that's just my opinion.

@@TheShachimaru Most people don't have these new consoles, I don't see what relevance that has to these new gpu's being in short supple, especially when consoles are also. You're right that consoles don't show their full potential on release but that's also the case for new gpu's on the PC as drivers are not mature and developers don't use a lot of the new feature set, that optimization comes in time on the PC and consoles and if it's anything like the last gen where we didn't really see much of a leap from early gen games to late gen, mostly thanks to those consoles being x86 so developers knew how to use those consoles even before they were out unlike say the PS3. It will be different this time, mostly thanks to the much faster cpu and storage speeds but that benefits the PC as well as games don't really take advantage of the cpu or fast storage yet, at least not M2 storage. You're right, the new consoles will also do a mid cycle upgrade, the reason I say that is because now for the first time in a long time, we have real competition in the PC space with AMD, Intel and Nvidia all competing at the top level now, that's very likely going to push progress harder and lower prices quicker, that's great news for PC and console gamers alike. If there is one thing I've learned is that nothing seems to beat the PC, the biggest advantage the PC has is it's openness to adapt to any threat it sees, it's why it's been the most successful platform for so many decades and boy have a lot tried to kill it as a platform but all have failed, it's like here, before the console were released, all the rumours were saying the consoles would wipe the floor with them but that didn't happen, first Nvidia countered that with a much more powerful gpu at a much lower price point than the last gen gpu's and now we have AMD in the game, all of a sudden, from the consoles looking strong, they look very mid tier now and that's likely only going to get worse in time. But honestly, I don't really see this as a PC vs console war, we're all gamers at the end of the day but it's not hard to see that the PC is winning with each passing gen, consoles are becoming more PC like, first with becoming x86, now they are more or less using PC parts and even at a case design level, they are becoming bigger like a small tower case, which is ironic because PC cases are getting smaller, honestly, the PC seems to be winning by converting consoles into a locked down PC platform. It also wouldn't surprise me in the longer run if they kinda merge together, especially PC and Xbox platform as it wouldn't take much for Microsoft to allow PC games to run on the Xbox Series X, but like I said above, we're all gamers and I just like to see progress regardless of the platform it happens on.

I don't know what api the ps5 uses but if it has switched over to using vulkan api and ubisoft game engine favours that then maybe. Still. About 99% of PC people are still playing 1080p = full-HD (watch Steam stats etc), so there is not much people who would benefit from resolution downscaling. Upscaling could be more usefull, and Nvidia has AI-tensor cores = DLSS with that, and AMD is working with Microsoft with Super Resolution. Basicly = Great resolution, less GPU-power needed.

I'm impressed by the team behind Valhalla, they decided to go with 60fps unlike Watch Dogs (which, frankly needed 60fps more than Assassin's Creed IMO)

Valhalla has 2017 graphics and visually speaking, it is nothing near impressive, the PC version was struggling to hit consistent 60 fps due to Ubisoft's garbage optimization, hell even my 3070 at 1440p with optimized settings drops to the high 50s in some scenes.

@Alâ so your trying to say that a PS5 is better than all pc hardware. Come back to me when you figure out what a threadripper is or what a 30 series is. AMD also makes killer gpus that recently released and your gonna say that the PS5 is better than top of the line gpus/cpus. It’s a great piece of hardware for it price I mean it matches 1080-2070 range of cards (gaming nexus benchmarked it around a 1080 I think) but it’s no where near top of the line pcs.
