"So you're telling me you've seen a ship with black sails, that's crewed by the damned, and captained by a man so evil, that hell itself spat him back out?"
+Eder Gonzalez They should have given various classes of ships too, but with their very own strengths and weaknesses, but they can all be levelled up like how you level up the Jackdaw in the single player. Schooner(s) - Frighteningly fast, can fire faster than other ships but doesn't hit hard. Has very poor resistance to higher level brigs and no resistance at all to a full broadside from a Man O War. Brig - All around strengths but doesn't do well in all fields, isn't crazy OP but is generally favourable. Has a decent power/damaging naval ram by default. Frigate - Usually more powerful than a Brig but by no means OP than a Brig. Is slightly slower but handles better. Man O War - The super heavyweight with tons of firepower but takes ages to reload shots. Ramming is only effective at higher speeds. Seems crazy OP but is actually very slow in overall speed and handling/turning.
Commandant 4D44 I think I stead of it "boarding your ship" it should ambush you and take an entire healthbar away then you have to harpoon it and when you beat it you get the taken outfit 😈😈
The Flying Dutchman was a ship in the late 16th/17th century. This takes place in the 1720's, by then the Flying Dutchman was no more than an Old Wive's tale.
Kill one of the twins the other one becomes worse version of impoluto mode puts herself on fire and has fire shots of HMS prince so yep you are fuckedd if that happen unless you reduce both ship hp then kill one kill the other fast
+Kealii Aki yea that should be a reward oh and if it gets destroyed then you need to fight it again and legendary ships should come randomly on kenways fleet
Ah man. These fights were great, favourite was El Impoluto, I found that one to be the hardest. While they all were challenging in some way, apart from HMS Prince, El Impoluto was the first one I saw and the fight was really amazing. Sad that you can't replay these.
El Impoluto is a definite hard bastard, took me 4 tries, what won it for me was I did charge her head on, use the chains when in range it'll still stun her and slow her making her ram less powerful if you still hit her front, I stunned and try to quickly hit her side avoiding ram and use broadside for more damage and brace away from her broadside, I managed to do with a 1 1/2 bars left, hope this helps other people
Milton Love It's actually hilarious because when his ship gets bounced back by El Impoluto, it reminded me of a vine saying: "Move bitch, get out the way bitch get out the way!"
I've always love the fact that you can make them sing on the boat. Its amazing. Whole game is fantastic. Story was a little off, but the whole game itself was fantastic. Definitely better than Unity.
Kinda sloppy. Would've used fire barrels. Should use bracing to reduce damage taken. And it's called ramming, not tackling. But overall good fighting. This is probably one of my top favorite games just because of the ocean sailing, combat, harpooning, etc. I love it. I sold back Unity and got this instead. Don't regret it at all. On PS4 though.
***** Unity was somewhat decent. But extremely buggy, graphics were glitchy as all hell, the combat mechanics sucked, and of course their was no sailing. I did enjoy the story but the ending sucked compare to the entire last sequence and ending of Black Flag. Such a great game. Even a year and a half later.
***** Good story majority of the time. Good graphics if they fixed some of the bugs in it. The freerunning was WAY better than any previous game. If the next game is like Unity minus the bugs and with a fixed combat system I wouldn't have a problem buying it.
***** Like I said. It is decent. Both pros and cons. The freerunning in AC4 is absolutely horrible and very frequently while boarding ships your character can suddenly go into stealth mode and sheathe his weapons or you can hit somebody with the same attack 20 times in a row doing no damage and just knocking them back a foot. It's very glitchy itself. Unity is worse, but all games have bugs. All Unity needs to fix is the glitches and graphical bugs and add in some more depth to the story and bam. Great game.
MercilessHobo Having only played a bit of 2, about half of 3, I cannot stand the freerunning in 4. He seems so much slower, and climbing is a nightmare with how long he will take to go up and/or make the leap to a ledge
Those fights are total BS, I know there suppose to be hard but GOD DAMN have yet to even triumph one of these bad boys. I wish you could have upgraded the Jackdaw to have cannons equal to the Queen Ann's Revenge, the one mission where you captain Black Beard's ship was epic. The guns on that ship absolutely devastated ever ship you encounter.
All it takse is practice, once you get used to ship fighting like a pro, youll handle those ships like they were nothing. On AC Rogue, it took me a while but finally I defeate all the legendary ships on that game, I'm sure that you can too.
Slavacado Is it after the fort missions? I'm stuck there because it wants me to improve my ship, so I'm going around raiding warehouses and getting upgrades. I'm not a huge fan of the battle mechanics so I don't battle on the seas that much, especially considering that a lot of the open water has those rogue waves or restricted areas.
Guys to get Tons of reales just do the 2 on 1 fight with legendary ships and destroy fearless every time then die but you keep the 10,000 just keep doing it until you're satisfied
When you need to loot the courier in AC 4 is said "press A to TACKLE traget" I was something like: "Oh hey!I didn't even know that Edward know Tackle!! (-Pokemon reference) 😂😂😂
DAMN I love these ships I wish we could board them to add them to the fleet. Or better yet, PILOT them, I mean these ships are fast. Why couldn't the makers give us the choice to pilot either the Jackdaw or these Man 'o war beauties? That would've been awesome!!! Then we could upgrade them to our liking, but considering their level is really... up there, you won't need upgrading. :) My favorite might be the one with the Ram, or the "Ghost Ship" hehe Flying Dutchman reference.
luckyday465768 Well damn it, that answers my question! I'm playing this for the first time and I thought capturing the legendary ships would be possible...nope
I don't know why but I think that pirates of Caribbean ships present black flag ships because fictional p. o. c. is based on the real life event golden age of piracy. For example Jack Sparrow is based on Jack Rackam
I love this game but my only gripe was ramming. That mode of naval warfare hadn't been used since ancient greek times. You can't ram with these kinds of ships, it would just damage everything on the bow from the keel to the jibboom. I just thought that was silly. Other then that, awesome game.
Tut Tut, do your research before you start selling wisdom. 18th Century warships had something called a Bowsprit on the front of their ships (the long jutting stick at the front, above the ram) to which the front sails were tied, without which you would be cutting your maneuverability into pieces. Clearly, it extends well beyond the ram, and attempting to rush into another ships hull would result in it breaking off and causing domino-style damage, resulting in a lost battle. You see, naval rams were used back when ships were sailed by a series of Oars (these are Galleys) which lost scope by the 16th century, and were replaced with ships by sails, which, unlike Galleys, required bowsprits.
It could (and did) work if used it against things that were lower than your bowsprit. Ex.: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Botafogo_(galleon) The way they are used in ACIV:BF is indeed quite silly.
They dont run away. They have to go back to their area if they go too far. The strength of the ships are HMS Prince Fearless and whatever the other is Impoluto And the last ship you fought is the strongest
I think they should include in a assassins creed game a legendary ship that kinda works kinda like the Flying Dutchman from POTC, with a fiction that it can dive underwater for a short while,i think if there's a ghost ship that can do that in a game like this,it would be a interesting fight
Here's an easy strategy for the El Impoluto: When close, change course, circle around the ship whilst dealing damage, use mortars if in range, if close, use heavy shot quickly. Make sure to use the fire barrels to ur advantage, right after dodging a ram, use fire barrels. Move fast
At angles like 11:14, stop the ship, and simultaneously aim the joystick in the direction you want to face, and the back of the ship will swing around to give you a quick opportunity to fire back at them before they even turn to fire at you. In other words, you can cut the wheel quickly by stopping and aiming in the direction of your choosing.
Just to let u guys know if u want unlimited money go to the double ship legendary battle kill 1 of the ships and it gives u 10K. After you kill 1 let urself die and repeat. You will get all the money you desire :)
why isnt the swedish legendary ship in the game it was created 1670 it was 56 meters tall and 43 meters long + it had 64 canons that together had a weight of 72000 kilograms,it was called Vasa and she was worth 3,8 million dollars
Too much luck my friend... yes u have the skillz, and congratz for the title, but no tactics at all. You had pure luck having the ships losing their shots because of their wrong positions which would have had u dead instantly! and what do I mean? For example, to win the two twins, you attack them both together, you don't kill the first one and then go to the other one, because once u kill the one, the 2nd starts to rain hell over you... but yee you got lucky there... Later on the 2nd one, he attacked u only with 2 fireshots which would lose again a ton of ur ship's health, but ofc the one shot was lost because of the waves? Lucky u :D also, You were just running straight around him... its not like Im jealous of ur luck but god dammit not a single mortal got u xD and with ur way of going you should have been hitted by all of them. The 3rd one! OMG what a luck! WHAT A LUCK! He missed with his ram, not once, not twice, but thrice, and u were just one more turn of him before death! xD Seriously. There's bigger chance winning the lottary than SUCH A LUCK! and the 4th one.. though it made u go the way it wanted to go, you still didn't lose much hp, nor his Mortals actually hit you! God dammit man xD and congratz.
First time battles. Of course there's no strategy. This video came out 2 weeks after Blackflag released. I'm sure noone had a strategy at that point lol.
The strategy you find it out as u fight for few times the ships. They aren't written anywhere or made afterwards, it's just the way you have to attack the ships so that you destroy the ship as fast as possible and avoid as much critical strikes as possible. But as I said, you have the skills, the geared ship and the luck to defeat them :D and it's awsome how easy you found them compared to some people who took them days to destroy those ships without figuring out the strategy :D
Hint for the 1rst legendary ship(s) When they flank.. slow down.. they kind of aim where you going go.. plus don't only focus on 1 all time.. if you do then in the end you gonna get recked
damn ,, I destroyed the first three with no problems.. the last one was the two ships :( .. fuck ,, the first one always easy.. I lost only two bars .. then the other just raped me .. I watched your video I don't know what's wrong with me .. but I think you are a great player that is it :D
Must be El Impoloto You have to run from it and just firebomb her and dodge the rams. When Poloto Runs use some quick heavy shots and broadsides. For HMS Prince Just go for the back AVOID BROADSIDES HMS Soverign and Fearless just avoid them flanking you or getting you in the middle so they can both fire. HMS La Dama THe Mortars will decimate you so Ram In the Back or hit in the back.
For the el Impulto ship all you need to do is at the beginning of the fight at around 560 meters let go of your wheel, then go to the front of your ship and when the ship is close enough jump onto it and murder the crew. It works trust me
I found that last one the toughest - he doesn't fire guns much, but his mortars are killer. Heavy shot and mortars don't seem to do anything to him, but he's weakest against regular round shot. So I maneuvered hard until I could get up close, then I just kept shooting round shot.
the impoluto is probably the 2nd hardest. shes fast, strong, and smart. and her strong suit is ramming. and mortars hardly affect her. la dama negra is probably the hardest because of her mortar and broadside strength. shes really strong too tho
This was great to watch and I’m a bit jealous. I had all elite upgrades and couldn’t beat them until I looked up strategies and you were able to go in blind and destroy them
I wish we could upgrade the Jackdaw into a Man 'O War. It's kinda odd that a ship with a maximum of 23 canons can take down a ship twice its size with a 100 canons.
all legendary ships details: 1.the twins will outgun you 2.the hms prince got some serious mortars 3.the el impuluto has a powerful ram and 4.the la dama negra has good armor on all sides except the butt
I once tried attacking La Dama Negra (armored sides, double mortars), and brought her to a half of her HP before dying. That was without a single elite upgrade, though.
