For framing: At level 9 now, each tick of damage does 7 less now than it did at level 1 before the nerf. His late game now is significantly worse than starting the match before as a result. It's still good for doing damage with spread when there are multiple enemies, but the difference is really evident on per-match damage done and time to down an enemy. Leaning on the Gamma Beta combo helps mitigate the opportunity for an enemy to escape one-on-ones, but it's a riskier trade off for your own escape mobility in hectic situations that didn't need to be leaned on as heavily before. A smarter player will get less K.O.s as a result and an aggro player will get much less damage regardless. I suspect that players committed to Catastrophe Shigaraki will start using the Gamma Beta combo more and that complaints about him might stay common due to the increased prominence of his stuns, which were a notable aspect of what people didn't like about facing him.
